Modern buggies are so damned fugly with that weirdass angular cab-forward frog-looking body design. Older buggies actually look like something that could be driven.
That's pretty much the car I had back in the day. Mine was an Optima Mid converted to the "Pro" version with the chassis/body upgrade kit. I loved the poly-carbonate undertray and how it kept all the dirt and crud out of the car. I wish I still had it today. Oh well.
You had no clue about buggy design back then and you still don't. Bill gates has been trying to warn you that you're extremely lowly educated. @@exorc6837 My pleasure, it's not often that I see a Mid run so "planted", usually these look a bit off in jumps and landings, on vids I've seen, but this is smooth
Well i think that demostrated that its oerfectly capable of keeping up with modern buggies with a competent driver. With the added bonus that it looks much nicer, great stuff 👍
I used to run an upgraded mid (but in stock class) back in the day, this thing is more than holding it's own with WAY more modern stuff. Testament to how good these were. Any plans to look at the recently released Kyosho Optima Mid 87 WC Worlds Spec - 60th Anniversary Ltd Edition car?
Hi, my pinion is 25T and the rim is 2.2 inches. My friend bought it for me. It seems to be from the UK. Please look for it again. Thank you for watching.
Hi Mark, I am using the belt cover attached to the original factory of Optima mid 2022 (please refer to the photo in my store). exorcdesign.com/products/lwb003-kyosho-optima-mid-lwb-conversion-kit-for-2022-competition-version It is indeed relatively short. But LWB`s body shell set has a lower cover. And the current venue is very clean. So I think should be no problem! Thank you for watch!
Very exciting film, thanks!! I'm turbo optima mid special lover, so driving the original model still now. Your driving optima mid is really fast, I'm impressed very much. Any way, what wheel is your optima mid wearing? Is that KYOSHO original model for the optima? But that is 2 inch wheel, so I think it does not fit your tire. (Is the tire 2 inch?) Please inform me about your optima mid wearing wheel and tire.
I use Shumacher tires. The wheels are 2.2 inch. My friend bought it for me. It seems to be from the UK. In addition, there are related settings at the end of my video. Maybe you can refer to it. Thank you for watching.😊
I also use Schumacher 2.2 inch tires same as you. Your wheels are form UK!!. The design is almost same as original turbo optima mid SP wheels , so I think I want to use them if I can buy anywhere. Thank you for your replying massage. I really enjoy your videos.
@@exorc6837 Seems like they would extend too far, being as the spring is at least 1cm too short. It appears in the pictures that your shock is not the 23/27.5mm length.
Optima mid...I had one many years ago, sold it to get a CAT XLS, Always preferred the Optima mid though, didn't enjoy the CAT as much. The mid was easier to drive and better looking IMO.
I was about to order all the items for the Optima Mid LWB Kit but the LWB belts are out of stock. Do you know when you'll have more? I expect I'll need that to complete the rest of the kit build...?
I ordered the Optima Mid carbon competition kit (standard length wheelbase) and it should deliver tomorrow - Thank you! Can I ask who makes the blue standoffs on the top mount of the shocks, and where I may purchase them?
Very nice build. I think I'll have to order a conversion kit for my Optima Mid. Were all the other cars on 13.5? The Optima Mid had much more speed on the straight than the other buggies.
Modern buggies are so damned fugly with that weirdass angular cab-forward frog-looking body design. Older buggies actually look like something that could be driven.
Older buggies bodies more classic.
Very nice driving. You show pretty clearly here that consistency is much more important than having the newest car.
Thank you for watching and your feedback.

I miss the rear cockpit bodies
You haven't got a clue about rear cockpit buggies.

Lovely upgrades, giving that old buggy some of its former glory back! Looked like it did quite well on the track!
I think it should be better! I will adjust it to the performance I want ha.

Great driving, love the Associated shocks! 😄 Carbon parts look nice, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching🤟
The driver is way better than anyone else. Makes much more difference than a new car…
Thank you for feedback😊
That car certainly agile and capable of sticking it to the newer tech cars. Looks very well balanced thru the jumps, and landings! Very quick too!
Thanks for your feedback. I will adjust it again. I believe it should be better.
Wrong.
How about you actually take a look at the buggy.
Stop reacting like a goose.
Wow my friend!!! Awesome!!! Do you have all the parts changed to build that beast like in the photos?

Yes, these are 2.2-inch wheels.

靜態拍攝時是貓胎沒錯.但實際動態拍攝時是使用CEN胎.因為是DCRC cup,你應該還有印象哈

Are you using internal spacers inside the AE shocks? They are much longer than the PR springs.
No spacers are used in Shocks. But the spring of PR is indeed shorter than that of ae.
So how are you shortening your shocks?
@@bharris0128 I didn`t shorten the shocks. Just fit the PR spring directly.
