    Modern buggies are so damned fugly with that weirdass angular cab-forward frog-looking body design. Older buggies actually look like something that could be driven.

    That's pretty much the car I had back in the day. Mine was an Optima Mid converted to the "Pro" version with the chassis/body upgrade kit. I loved the poly-carbonate undertray and how it kept all the dirt and crud out of the car. I wish I still had it today. Oh well.

      Bill gates has been trying to warn you that you're extremely lowly educated.
      Manufacturers thought you were fully insane 15 - 20 years ago.
      You've gotten much worse ever since.
      I've seen salesmen have mental breakdowns from talking to you customers.
      You're 40 years behind the rest of us.
      Be ashamed of your level of knowledge.

    That car certainly agile and capable of sticking it to the newer tech cars. Looks very well balanced thru the jumps, and landings! Very quick too!

    I used to run an upgraded mid (but in stock class) back in the day, this thing is more than holding it's own with WAY more modern stuff. Testament to how good these were. Any plans to look at the recently released Kyosho Optima Mid 87 WC Worlds Spec - 60th Anniversary Ltd Edition car?

      Hi Mark, I am using the belt cover attached to the original factory of Optima mid 2022 (please refer to the photo in my store).

      It is indeed relatively short. But LWB`s body shell set has a lower cover. And the current venue is very clean. So I think should be no problem! Thank you for watch!

Any way, what wheel is your optima mid wearing? Is that KYOSHO original model for the optima? But that is 2 inch wheel, so I think it does not fit your tire. (Is the tire 2 inch?) Please inform me about your optima mid wearing wheel and tire.

      I also use Schumacher 2.2 inch tires same as you. Your wheels are form UK!!. The design is almost same as original turbo optima mid SP wheels , so I think I want to use them if I can buy anywhere. Thank you for your replying massage. I really enjoy your videos.

    Are you using internal spacers inside the AE shocks? They are much longer than the PR springs.

      No spacers are used in Shocks. But the spring of PR is indeed shorter than that of ae.

    Optima mid...I had one many years ago, sold it to get a CAT XLS, Always preferred the Optima mid though, didn't enjoy the CAT as much. The mid was easier to drive and better looking IMO.

      This is Kyosho turbo optima mid special bodies. It`s long wheelbase. If you want to fit on SWB. You need to change the wheelbase. Thank you .

    Very nice build. I think I'll have to order a conversion kit for my Optima Mid.
    Were all the other cars on 13.5? The Optima Mid had much more speed on the straight than the other buggies.
