Thanks robot as a classic nerd I still found it very interesting and useful to see. Again you go into things way deeper than most would and this is why your videos are streets ahead of other channels.
Having a cold and binge-watching your vids all day today. Looks to me like the 2023 GTS in the Super Sport trim is a pretty significant step forward with a number of well-thought-out upgrades. I currently own a 2016 Aprilia SR Max 300, which shares the motor/transmission unit with the 300 Vespas/Piaggios/Gillleras and many of your service vids are relevant to my scoot and thus much appreciated. When time comes to replace my current ride I am almost certain that I will buy a Vespa - I love the fact they are simple enough that a willing home mechanic, like myself, can do all the servicing on them (I wouldn't dare to service my car) and there is a tonne of great how-tos on YT. Keep up the God's work of educating us!
Super interesting teardown and synopsis. Thanks Robot !

AMAZING!!! Robot, you are a true Vespa surgeon! A few parts of this video made me close my eyes it was so scary. And the whole time, my thought was "how the heck are we going to get all this back together?" A friend of mine used to work on his Honda 350, and each time, he was left with a bolt or part left... 🙂
My HPE 300 impressions in a ancient drive test were very good and let my envying a Vespa till now . With these changes I will test drive it again to feel the differences..Very interesting . Thank you.
Thank you very much for that video! That's exactly I was searching for. This new front fork design looks very good engineered. Guess I am going to sell my 2017 and buy the new one. Greetings from Germany, Andreas.
Robot, thanks for going through this teardown. Fascinating I have a BMW R1200R. It has an ant-dive front suspension they call Telelever. Quite interesting, too. The good: Works superb under hard braking. By reducing the load transfer to the front wheel, the rear wheel maintains a lot of its stopping ability. The not so good: You lose the feel of the front wheel. That is.... Any good sportbike, you feel the tire contact patch through the palms of your hands. None of that information makes it through the Telelever. To me, that is a pretty big drawback. As that feel is a large part of the riding enjoyment. Thanks again for your excellent post.
Like it very much to watch your videos!! I will receive my new GTS 300 Super Sport 2023 in Grey matt by end of March. 🥳 Please go on with your chanel and thank you! 👍🏻 Regards from Switzerland Roberto 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
Great video. With the move to Nissin components, you have to possibility to swap brake calipers to change the size pistons to better optimize to the MC. Do you have the piston size stampings from the caliper?
Dear Robot, thanks for this teardown... verrrry interesting. I have the same exact model as you, including the colour, since the 3rd of December. Super chuffed so far. One question please. Is that the medium windshield you have on? I've been trying to get my hands on one since I got the scooter - no luck so far.
Hello, I just bought a Vespa GTV 300 HPE 2023 and I want to upgrade the front suspension. Does Ohlins or any other brand have a compatible front suspension? Thank you in advance.
Does anyone know if the current SEI GIORNI 300 II EDITION model includes these new front suspension upgrades? The current Sei Giorni model was introduced in 2022, so not sure if it has this newest suspension. Thx.
Dear Robot, I follow your videos that are very useful and funny. Seeing here a video about the front fork design of the new GTS300, I would like to ask you a question. I have a Primavera 150 year 2017, and I am with the intention of changing it for a GTS 300. I was already decided to buy a green GTS300 Racing sixties, since I really like the design.(Not the rims color) But...I found out from the local dealer... That in my country, the new Vespa GTS300 (that were in the USA in 2022) arrive in next month (July). The new Vespa models will be approximately US$1000 more than the previous ones. (Both 0 km) So when I found out that the new model was coming, keyless, with a new front shock absorber, and some other aesthetic thing, I would like to ask you: Is there a really considerable difference to wait for it, or if I like the Racing sixties, isn't there a change so important as to pay those U$1000 of difference? What would be your suggestion? Does anyone else who has used both justify waiting and paying the difference? Excuse my English and thank you very much in advance
Vespa gts hpe 300 battery down after 3 days ? I checked No 6 fuse have spake when switch off time, what is the cause of fuse spake when ignition off and battery drain,
Hi, I just got a brand new GTS 300 2023 from the dealer. Its been 100 miles on it and I feel like there is a problem with my front brakes. I also have big bikes like Ducati Multistrada. Sold my scooter to upgrade this Vespa. But the front brake feels woodie and weak. Should I go back to my dealer? Is it normal on Vespas? It feels really weird to have a weaker front brake than my old Honda Pcx.
You would think Vespa would source better suspension components for their scooters. To build such a nice scooter then put junk suspension on it is crazy.
Looks like a drastic improvement to me though at first sight it looks the same, can't wait to try one! lol Also really looking forward to your road test video, anyway great video as always!!!

I'll be visiting from Germany in a couple of weeks, I try to stop by and say hi 😁

Once this becomes available as used or new it'll be a sweet trick front end for vintage!!!

Awesome video, thanks sir !!
Another great video robot
Thanks for the video. While I would rather see Italian parts on a Vespa, the front end just might be better than the 2015, for a change.
good information. just bought one. in uk. £6300. nice ride.
Fascinating. Now, all we need is a test run from a hefty rider who can compare. :)

Me too - getting the same on the 1.April
@@Piet4u Dutch by any chance?
@@FJWH Nope - Germany

Nice Piaggio. Only took 75 years to reinforce the fork with a metal bar.

Awesome overview Robot.
No bitubo for the front yet? :-(
+1 for detailed video, is it possible for modding this new linkage to new GTV 2024 ?
Mr Robot, can i fit the new front end to 2022 vespa gts 125
You lost me at "wheel", but this was a fascinating video.

Hey Robot, any update in this new fork about the 'classic' GTS wobbling? thx in advance

Nice teardown
So how does it ride at highway speeds compared to the original GTS with the new front end?
I'm curious if the speedo on these 2023s (with the newly designed front end) is any more accurate?
Great question.
It won't be long before the the entire Vespa scooter will be manufactured in Vietnam, you can count on it. $$$$$$$
You can put a 2023 front caliper to an older gts. You just need to swap the adapters.
Is there any Brembo radial adapters available for the 2023 gts?

On mine I tied the brake lever to the handle bar and let it sit overnight. Now the front brake works great.
Anyone know if the 23 rear shocks fit previous years?

One piece disk and hub casting. That could get expensive to replace down the road...
It is not. You can see there are screws to separate them.
There's no such thing as an HPE2
So many positive reasons to upgrade. Looking forward to Robot’s overall review of the bike.

can you show me how to remove the linkage arm?
