Thanks Robot, for your informative post. I myself ride a 2020 GTS 300 hpe and am glad I got an earlier model. So far I have completed 10000 KM without any problems. Unfortunately the design has deteriorated significantly since then. No one needs the high maintenance keyless go on a Vespa. The only positive development I see the front suspension. Greetings from Germany.
Lovely thanks Robot. I have a Vespa GTV 300 Via Montenapoleone and have exceeded 64K, and she's running like a top. Touch wood, nothing to replace besides the usual so far, and runs like dream. I'd dig some better suspension and steering though, so the newbie has my attention.
How do you run your scoot off the line? Hard? Easy on the throttle? (I figure it may matter on easy wear and tear.) I have the 2023 GTS SuperTech (the orange SuperSport I ordered last November never came in so I "settled" for the Tech.
I had a GTS 250 about fifteen years ago. Definitely one of my favorite of the bikes I've owned over the years. I can't think of a smaller displacement motorcycle that's as comfortable for the passenger as the GTS. Two up riding all day long.
After 40 years I have my new one since last week and I love it! Only issue is the connectivity thing, still not working and the manual doesn’t explain it well (and I work in IT!). And as you said, the keyfob is not worth the extra money. But overall great to ride it here in Holland!
I saw someone else mention issues with Bluetooth on the 2023! Has anyone heard if it was fixed on the 2024 GTS 300s? If he fob had more functions, maybe it would be worth it?
Sorry to see you moving on from this scooter! I’ve followed all your mods and have added some of the same to mine. Thanks for the education! Will continue to follow your future scooters!
Getting mine this Saturday in matte black can’t wait made space next to the p2 you got to love a Vespa well I do anyway I think you done a good honest review well done Robot
My last two bikes have been keyless. Iron 883 and R1250GSA. On both of those bikes you just rock up, press a button, then press another button to start the motor. PERFECTO! I have an old VanVan 125 that has a sticky barrel. Sometimes the key works, sometimes it doesn't..... It's not like key based systems don't have their own problems ;) Love the vids man, keep them coming.
My '23 red super (so it has chromed metal trim, not mismatched black plastic/chromed metal) has been nothing short of spectacular. The fob doesn't bother me, as my gti has it too (so i'm wholly used to it). it's less fiddly than trying to mess around with keys in gloves. also zero oil consumption unlike the older HPE which was fairly gotdang famous for it. ;)
Agree, I hate keyfobs. Big, clunky, needless addition to the overall price and one more thing to worry about. The chrome on the handlebars looks mismatched and cheesy. If you'e doing black trim, make it ALL black.
Your videos caused me to want the new GTS, I got a white Super Sport, I have 1200 miles already and absolutely love it. I am not sure why but my bad back feels the best sitting on it riding of all things. I feel the same as you but "Not for Sale" here and mine stays on the asphalt.

Totally agree with you, keep the scoot as is, nothing much to add really. i have mine too, the 2023 GTs 300 hpe, not the perfect one, but it gives me total fun and pride owning it.
Robot, your videos are always so informative. I have 1100 miles on my new 2023 Vespa GTS 300 Super, I purchased in June. What do you think of the kit available, to update the GTS with 13" wheels ? I saw a video on it, and it looked pretty slick.
Thanks, Robot. Great run through on the 2023 GTS. Very interesting to hear your take on this model. I’m in Australia and have the same model (in white), but only done about half your mileage so far. I’m very happy with mine, so far. Still waiting on a mid-screen and top box to come in stock here, which I’ll have fitted at the first service. Just wondering, have you had to top up the oil prior to the first service?
😮 you just scared the 💩 out of me talking about the fob and the fact that you've been waiting six months for an extra. 100% agree with Bluetooth pairing
Hi, any chance you can advise if the latest model Ohlins shock absorbers fit on the new GTS? On their web they say fits for 2022 models. I was wondering if this model came out end of 2022 mybe they fit? LMK what you think, or if you already know they do/don't?
Thanks Robot! love your vespa passion. I bought a new 2023 Vespa 300GTS, ridden only 160 miles so far. I live in a mountainous area and I sensed 2 issues, the rear brake makes a buzzing like sound when applied, especially going down hill. Also, the heat gauge is reaching 1 bar bellow red when going up hill, then the fan comes on and the heat goes down to 2 bars below red, note I am not riding hard at all, not exceeding 45 MPH. Are these normal issues? Thank you!!

Keyless fob on my Honda ADV 150. Hate it. The battery suddenly died in the drawer after three years. And there is no real key to insert. So to prevent this in the future I need to store an extra battery on the scooter somewhere to not get stranded on the road. Added complexity, no point to it really. I like a regular key.
1200 miles on my 23 GTS SS and no oil use, I ride a bit hard, The first 600 was free of oil consumption and the second 600 after the change has been the same. I got the sight glass oil pan but have not felt the need to install it, maybe when it cools down...

Hello from Romania . Quick question : i have a 2023 Vespa GTS 300 HPE Super Sport with 4000 km , and i recently upgraded it with a Polini Speed Bell Evolution , Polini Black Rollers 13 grams , but also changed the belt with a Piaggio original belt and also a new original Piaggio V-Belt Pulley . The clutch remained the original one , but at some low speed acceleration and then braking , or when i release the throttle at low speeds , i can hear a metallic rattling sound coming from the transmission , It sounds like some keys are dangling in your pocket over some coins , something like that , for a short period of time , maybe 1 second . Have you experienced this sound after changing things at transmission ? Many thanks
