Thank you for the nice review on Vespa's! regarding this video I'm not quiet sure cutting the rear fenders make's for a better looking, just re-positioning the plate holder 2 inch's higher would have work just fine in my book! also, the reason why the belt cover is silver is because it attracts dust, and dust on gloss black is not a good thing!, might look good in the showroom but would definitely not help my OCD to see it dusty all the time...it'll stay silver!
I have the gts super sport 300 2023 I bought it with out fob keyless I bought the fob the 23 still waiting I hope everything comes out good and I can ride 🙏
I have the 2019 GTS 300 and absolutely love it for scooting around town. I also have a KTM dirt bike and have found that if you buy the KTM socket set all the tools are high quality and you can perform almost any service on the Vespa. The tools come in an orange case that goes well with your KTM orange Vespa.
I've done a similar license plate holder mod on my Moto Guzzi v100. I enjoy your work and content and I'm considering a BV 400. I've never ridden a scooter but I think they're cool, wish they were more popular in the USA.
Thank you for everything Robot! I have a 64 VBB waiting to be rebuilt in my backyard, its been under a tarp for 10 years. Any tips for cleaning up rust, diagnosing rot on a frame, making sure its worthy of a rebuild? I have the engine and front fork and the rest of the parts in plastic baggies, so most of that should be good, looking forward to rebuilding it with the help of your vids!
@@pkg996 Don't want to go bare metal, i'd like to keep the patina on this bike, just want to make sure there are no safety issues, in the past i've used a product called "OsPho" to clean up rusty areas, or at least to stop the rust from spreading! Wasn't sure if there was something better?
Re: side reflector hole plugs for 2020 Sei Giorni II. Given the OEM reflectors are destroyed with clip/peg removal, how likely am I to find front wheel fender and rear side panel paint scratches under the removed side reflectors? I'm finding the OEM mat paint finish a little touchy and touch up paint isn't really an option. The reflectors appear to be in contact with the paint from factory. This scooter has roughly 2K miles on it.
Another good video... thanks Robot! Now if you guys would do the same thing for those ugly fake chromed switch covers as you did with the belt cover, or maybe you already have. Time to go shopping 😁
Yah, you don't need side reflectors if you're never going to ride in front of cross-traffic in the dark. You don't seem to appreciate why such 'compliance reflectors' are needed, or even the night-time distance visibility standards they must meet... Biggest excuse given in scooter/motorcycle accidents is 'I didn't see him'. Why make our small scooters even less visible? A better upgrade would be to replace passive reflectors with LED illuminated ones. Wouldn't be any issue to splice low-watt side reflectors into the lighting circuit...
Basically moved the number plate back up to where it was on the previous model . It does look better up there. One of the bad things of the new model imo is the lower number plate.
Iam about get 2023 Yamaha zuma 125 and watching seeing ur ves has me thinking the Yamaha is the complete opposite style wise lol!! Thats why i want the Yamaha, its ugly in a good way, ur vespa looks really slick, can only imagine its performance!!
Man, I literally just snapped my reflectors off like they were a tea biscuit. Question, why is $18.00 to send the plugs to Canada? They cost $4.95 USD to buy the simple plugs. Can't they be shipped via envelope snail mail? Thank you.
Hi Bot, i bought 500 Piaggio low miles, showroom condition. This is bc it sat for years. Now after a ride, when things are hot, oil pours from case on stator side. Is it possible that gasket went bad from sitting for over 10 years?
Would it be hard to remove some of the stickers? I am expecting one of these in the same color/configuration as you but I feel like it has a few too many stickers. What do you think?
Hi Robot, hope you are doing fine! Have you ever upgraded a non-ABS break vespa to ABS breaks? I have acquired a VXL 150 (basically, an LX150 but 2017) and it comes with classic front disk breaks and rear drum brakes. Thanks!!!
Black Black plastic SHINY! ohh lets spend money to show every smudge ,scratch and microfibre wash mitt swirl mark. Carbon-fiber maybe. After years of Harleys and playing chrome nuts- I enjoy buying a stock Vespa leaving it alone and just riding it. Service is whats needed most. It’s a scooter no stress ,no need to neuter it removing safety reflectors.
Mudflaps are for reason. But Why Lisbeth Piaggio do not put one behind front tire? As the stonw-wash kills the underside of Vespa fast. This lisence-plate light is real downgrade for previous model which had it integrated to the main light.
sorry but this black shiny cover is as ugly as the origanal silver one. All parts around are mat so this cover should be mat too. I don't understand why this is not already put on in the factory.

I’ve been riding Vespa’s now for over 40 years and I always love your content. Got my first one at 15 years old. Love your content.

You have the gts super sport 300cc
There is a good reason for the mudguard to go that low. It stops stones and such from flying too high.

The front reflectors also came on Australian imported Vespas too. Once I had removed mine, plugged them with the tiny rubber grommets from a PX.

Definitely black engine cover I’d probably just paint the one I have . Really really digging this orange
This guy is a LEGEND !!!!!
Another useful tip. You can also get black chrome hardware (nuts and bolts) for your license plate. Adds a little bling.
Robot, you ALMOST have me convinced I could pull these mods off! But don't bet the farm...or your Vespa!
Here in germany,we dont have the problem with the site reflektors. 😊
- LOVE from 'OZ' ! (Australia)
Yes, but here in Finland there sure is on back plate a side reflectors on upward stance.
Whoever gave the Paintjob of this bike is a bad boy.
Hi Mr. Robot I replace my reflector to 4 LED side markets!

Chemical paint stripper or sand blasting if you want to go back to bare metal ,then take it from there.

Didn’t know about the oil pan with a sight glass that’s cool
Mo, it is far more practical than burn your hand and cut the oilstick, as this hpe has now.
As Sinatra might say, nice 'n' easy.
Thx!

Thgose covcers should be in frame-colour, not black.
18:45 From where came "that plastic black thing"? Together with the led bulb, or?
Black , black everywhere , enough already
I HATE black.
VERY HARD to SEE on the road.
VERY DANGEROUS.
@@tpv59 And ugly - Don't forget
Yeah, I'm over all the black parts too. I got tired of the flat black really quick!

So the lx 150 tail light is built the same way? I was gonna replace my tail light from ebay

I don't see the part number for that color plug on your website
Looks Great!!!
I actually like the reflector
Crazy Talk!
May I know the Tyre size?
Is it the stock tyres?

PS when it's cold , no leaks, no even a spec of oil under the machine when parked.
Can you get the plugs in GRIGIO TRAVOLGENTE MATTE?
Are these available for the 150 Primavera also?
Fantastic
We love you robot. 👍❤️❤️❤️
Cool vid, thanks Robot!
nice work Robots here in europe uou are not allow to take that off enjoy your new toy
Good job 👌👍

Not difficult to remove stickers or decals.
Mine came off without even heating up!
What is going to be the answer for the ugly fake chrome switchgear?
Somebody is already on it I suspect.
@@larrylindsey1497 Let’s hope so. Curious to see if someone starts offering color matched options.
Agreed! I those really stand out on the Sports. Hard to believe they didn't go with the carbon fiber or gloss black look.
Great info

It's not possible on the VXL or SXL, they have mechanical brake system.
