I wore boots when I was young on and off. I then got the bug again a little over 10 years ago. I wear them almost daily. After the boots a bought a few western shirts, then some good wrangler jeans, then some nice belts. I know have a nice little buckle collection and about 6 hats. Stetson, Resistol and American. It was an evolution as this attire isn’t very prevalent here in southern NH. We have farms and country but not really too many boots, never mind hats. The hat took a little courage. Now I wear a hat just about everyday too. I’m not a farmer, don’t own a ranch, never rode a horse. But I love the look and what a cowboy stands for. I’m a hard working blue collar family man. Wear it with pride and own it.
Up in here in New York, people don't usually wear cowboy boots, so it makes you stand out a little, even out here in the country, but the men who do wear them, those are the hardworking men who ain't afraid of nothing and no one but the good Lord. I find that they are the ones who pave the way and have the most wisdom to offer in hard times. I wear my boots how my father and grandfather before me used to: with pride.
In aus everyone I see wears sneakers. I’m the odd one out, but I like being different from others. I don’t care about what they think, cowboy boots are the best boots to wear 👍
I’ve been called a badass about 99.9% of the time. The last 0.1% consists of haters. But the haters don’t mean much of anything to me. I just walk like I own the place.
I only wear cowboy boots. I don't own sneakers or any of that bullshit. Every single day, it's boots, Wranglers, a cowboy hat and a gun. It don't matter where I'm going or what I'm doing. Yea, I got better boots for dressing up, and shit kickers, well, for shit kicking, but it's boots. I can't imagine me in anything else ;)
@@smackdadious Thank you very much for your reply.. I highly recommend Chisos boots. They are down right the most comfortable cowboy boots I have ever worn in my life.
:) Thanks Smackdadious! It took me a long time to get the balls up to wear boots most of the time. Maybe it's a regional thing but not a ton of guys here in Northern Ohio wear them, but your starting to see it a little more, but it's mostly square toes. I'm 41, it took me till about my late 20s to totally just say "fuck it" and go for it. They do get me some attention at times, which I've actually come to like. I'm not much of a people person, so I'm not really one that likes to be noticed but I've made it work. My own view is, the guys who talk shit about them are the ones that don't wear them, IMO there jealous. For my job, I wear Roper Boots most of the time. Justin's are usually my first choice for boots, then Dan Posts and Laredo's. I had a pair of Tony Lama's for awhile, that I got off ebay that I loved, but usually the bidding just gets way to nuts for those.
48 when I got my first pair in Pennsylvania here. It's not that popular here but now that I been wearing them and more other Westen style clothing I notice its seems to be gaining popularity. I wear them wherever, to work too. At first people started to notice and comment how I was dressing up more, that it looked good too. I'm not one that seeks out attention or am overly outgoing with people I don't know but I work with it. Im glad I finally decided to get them because you only live once.
Glad you enjoyed! I feel you, sometimes it takes a little getting out of your comfort zone sometimes but it is worth it. I like Justin's. I haven't had a Dan post, Laredo, or tony lama surprisingly.
@@MrMikey1273 I don't really get into the western wear part of it, just the boots themselves, but yeah it's true you only live once. There an addiction for sure, I've got like 6 pairs now lol.
@@smackdadious Right, the whole comfort zone thing, considering sneakers and boat shoes are what I mainly see around where I live. You see lace uo work boots but not too many cowboy boots, but the Sq toe ones seem to be popping up more and more. Laredo is probably the best of the cheap boots IMO, for $120-$150 there not bad for a budget boot. My only gripe with Dan Post is, they now have insoles like Ariat's, I like a leather lined boot better.
I agree, wearing my boots is a daily thing for me. I am more confident and I feel that way too. The comments made by people are always out of admiration, because they're surprised people still wear them. I hope to give someone the boost to be able to rock their own pair. Being from Pennsylvania western style is not super popular but it seems to be growing more so. Just got mine back, been really busy at work and wasnt able to wear any nice boots because I had a bad ingrown toenail that was cut out. Got some time I need to spend with the boots and prepare the video, sorry about the long wait. I want to do this video right, I hope it will be good.
What's up Bro. I wear boots pretty much all the time except at work. I wear scrubs at work and not sure if I could pull off scrubs with boots. But what the Hell, maybe I'll give it a shot.
I don't dress like a cowboy. It's just the cowboy boots I love! I have a different style to my wardrobe! I'll wear them with an NBA or NFL jersey. Love how they make me taller. I wear spurs high. I know it's wrong but don't care. Can't ride no more. Still--can't give up my spurs. I was born with 'em. // I don't recall you having a video on yours.

I think that a man who currently wears cowboy boots shows a lot of character and a strong personality, much more than other types of footwear….
