Do skip the first chain when I do my second row of stitches? When we start the first row we start with 2nd chain, is that only for first set of crochet?
@@c81475s when you chain 1 and turn, you skip the chain you just made. You single crochet into the first single crochet. Does that make sense? If not, let me know and I can try to explain another way! ❤️
I think I get it…. So after my first row of single crochets, I chain an extra and turn my work. I will start my 2nd row of crochets in the first chain from the hook, is that correct? This differs from our first row of crochets, correct? Sorry if these are silly and confusing questions. I’ve only been crocheting for 2 weeks. I learned from your videos. ❤️ I am always missing stitches so trying to figure out why. I think it’s because I am miscounting my crochets (every row missing 1 or 2. TYSM for you help.
@@c81475s on the second row, you should only chain 1. So you would skip that chain then work in the first single crochet. So, it could be considered the 2nd stitch from your hook if you are counting that chain as a stitch. 😊

I cut the yarn, pull out the loop, then use a needle to weave the yarn through the bottom of the single crochets on the last row. Thank you for asking that question. I will try to show how to finish in my videos from now on! ❤️

It’s okay to have gaps when you’re first starting out. Keep trying and your tension (tightness of stitches) will improve ❤
