It looks like he knew when you were removing his old collar and he saw the new one that you were claiming him as yours and he became very happy to know he had a new owner. The neighbour really helped the dog understand that what was happening was a good thing, great rescue well done.
The "owner" of this dog must have been a really heartless scumbag for breaking this innocent creature's heart. Heartbreaking to see this, but heartwarming to see this pup get a second chance at happiness. And that was well deserved!! Anyone would be lucky to have this dog in their life!!

The rules on this country should be more strict so that animals like Leo are not made to suffer needlessly. IF we want to have an animal then we have to treat them properly. I hope hhe finds good home.
The part @1:50 with Leo looking at the other dog. It's like if your parents walked through the door with another kid. They then grab you, push you out the front door and close it. You sit outside confused and watch as this other kid gets dinner and sleeps in your bed.
God blesses those who saved this lovely dog. Hopefully this dog will find forever home soon.

He didn't understand what he did wrong. For these evil people to kick him out and he stayed instead of taking off, just shows how much of a great and loyal dog he is...even though his "family" isn't. Leo deserves sooo much better! I hope he finds his forever home.❤❤

I love how he realized when that belt came off his neck that things were changing. It seemed to me that he knew he was being rescued. Got in the car on his own. And now he spends time at the beach what a beautiful story

The previous "owner" should not have any dog...he should get an alarm system instead. This dog had a lucky escape from a miserable life. I feel sorry for his replacement. Is it not illegal to abandon a dog there? No consequences?

Well that's wrong. This is a dog that needs plenty of walks and space, so not anybody is suitable to have that kind of a dog for a pet

I cried when I saw him by the gate wouldn't leave his gate for more than a minute then sat down and starred at the gate again. Thanks kind people who called you guys and thank you for saving him..He is beautiful like a bear and what a lovebug..The owner is a human garbage and doesn't deserve these beautiful dogs or any dog..

@Sara Alderman guard dogs does not always mean the dog should bite the intruder , tear his limbs etc etc, or do they . A good bark is enough to wake owner up or to let them know about the danger. and i guess all dogs are good at barking..

Yes, the guy who helped had a bond with Leo but probably could not afford to look after and feed such a big dog. The owner should be banned from keeping dogs. There are EU laws but in many countries, they are not upheld and should be. More people should be banned from keeping dogs for life. I worry about the new dog and how the owner treats it to make it nasty to guard the house.
Leo is a big, beautiful dog with a big heart and soul. THe former owner is a shrivelled little toad with no soul.

Hopefully you cared enough to make a donation and weren't watching for the emotional release. Donations fund rescues not tears. Everyone has 5.00 but not everyone understands that it isn't rich people funding rescue, it's people like me and many others who ACTUALLY care enough to make small sacrifices. What will you do?

God did nothing. If he cared we wouldn't be watching. People rescue animals and donations, from people who ACTUALLY CARE, fund those rescues. What will you do? 5.00 is not a lot of money but if everyone gave 5.00 it adds up.

Ken Kloiber: We rescued a German Boxer that his owner named him Diesel. He wanted a guard dog. He surrendered him to the shelter. He is kind and has Epilepsy. We got him around 5 years old. Hank is now 12 and much loved. He has the best life possible.
