Referencing celebs you meet that tell you their name, I met a singer for a band in passing once, the band had put out albums that genuinely helped me get through high school. When I said Hi at first he looked at me and said hi, but when I told him how much the music meant to me, he turned around wide eyed and asked me my name and shook my hand and introduced himself to me. It meant a lot that was the reaction he had, that the music meaning something to me genuinely meant something to him.
Latine people working in Asian restaurants is like an American universal, only difference is if you go east it’s usually Cubans and Puerto Ricans. Whenever I go visit my mom in PR we get Japanese food and it’s the best cause it’s really good Japanese food but also you can get plantains and mofongo
Ive been to kura quite a few times, i also dont eat seafood and am a picky little boy so i just get miso and rice or ramen, last time i had it tho it had an inexplicable overpowering taste of lemon. Like a gross amount of lemon. In the miso and the ramen and the rice. I dont know WHAT happened, but you’re gonna like it if you often put lemonade in your meal.
8:34 There’s one thing this dude needs to know about restaurants in LA, at LEAST one of the cooks back there is Mexican. So you better get outa here with that.
People outside US tend to claim the food sucks (which i get, people rightfully hate us), but fail to realize literally the best chefs across the world all strive to open their best restaurants in the country. Speaking as a mexican myself, man, there’s some places in California that are just way above Mexico lol
There is no direct connection between the average food quality of a country and the number of foreign restaurants. I believe people want to expand their brand to the US mostly because the competition here is close to zero. Also, most of the noticeable brands that have expanded to the US because 1. they are beyond successful in their origin country and thus have the money to expand internationally without sacrificing its overall quality(if equivalent ingredients can be found and purchased in a steady quantity locally.) 2. someone offered an investment opportunity 3. the owner likes American culture and would love to become part of it. I do agree that some mexican food here tastes incredible, though it doesn't mean the food in general doesn't suck ass. I think it is safe to say the the low bar for consumable food in the west is still very, very low. We all know $$$ is the biggest reason most chefs want to open restaurants in the US. Those who want prestige and aren't afraid to fail miserably, aim for Paris.
the country with largest number of japanese restaurants in the world is... most people never guess this, china. and thats without any korean cult influence as far as im aware lol.
What I don’t understand is why people think location matters in authenticity. Outside of ingredients. I swear, even if a Japanese person moved to LA and started a ramen shop, you’ll have people crying that it’s not authentic.
Nothin beats the japanese curry chains in Japan, holy fuck that shit is so tasty, cheap, filling and pretty decently nutritious. I'd kill to have one or two of those here in Aus. Also, the dude is wrong about the sushi plates system in Japan. I was literally in a sushi chain place in Osaka with my mates and that place had the exact same system as what we see in this video.
for anyone curious and want to try new spots hopefully take a date out (i have faith in yall)! Uzamaki sushi in Culver City family owned and rotating menu. @gateauxq4604 Exactly, chat was being so reactionary in that regard. Like personally, I unironically like Panda Express, but do I consider it as a culinary delight? Hell no! Hasan didn't either.
No wonder people in the comments keep saying shit about Hasan getting it wrong about panda when the maker of this video himself took his take out of context. Shame.
It's ironic that people are shitting on him for the yoshinoya la take when panda is overall cheaper and healthier than that place as a chain restaurant.
Yeah, they're just being the grimy POS hater that he is for no reason. Probably some white supremacist weeb(those are surprisingly common). I am a weeb too btw lol.
Panda Express is far from the best Chinese food BUT it is still far better food quality and a far better run business. NGL, as a person whose eaten at Yoshinoyia on and off for nearly 20 years, it's been trash for a while now.
I see why people often times hate him when there is people like you not listening to the entire statement, especially when the follow up to saying it is phenomenal is when he compared it to something else. Jesus Christ listen to it all in the same context! It's in the video!
Top of the line sushi you cannot find in U.S. All the blue fin tuna is consumed in Japan, none of it leaves the country, the rest of the world gets the crumbs that is the yellow tail.

I can barely afford something as expensive as Yoshinoya. So from my POV hasan has his opinions on food, go buy US foood with Lira then come at the man.
I love how chatter in the beginning complained that their Broccoli was so boiled it turned white , only for someone to explain that *IT'S CAULIFLOWER*
real gremlin hours in chat as usual
wasn't that a joke from parks and rec?
Hasan's biggest L is that he doesn't eat seafood
True and factual
Flopsan not appreciating how delicious seafood is is very disappointing
And therefore doesn't rate Japanese food highly.
Nah his biggest L is being born in New Jersey
Nah seafood is nastyyy
23:05 i love how hasan is too proud to say anything about how funny he thinks ludwig is its so cute 😂
Ludwig playing american rpg irl
The editor note at the ramen part killed me😂

5:50 Kaya scratched herself and was stunned by her own paws 😂😂
$200/head. So $100 for Hasan.
agreed on Hasan ramen take on Shoyu ramen and miso ramen, but I would say for sure America do no gyat it with tonkotsu ramen
Japan has the plate dispenser in the conveyor belt sushi places. Kura specifically has it
high fructose corn syrup is definitely a huge minus for most people
I love seeing hasan eating this $200 tasting meal of divine meats cooked in front of him, with a can of diet coke. That's real king shit there

Another anime banger from the anime man
The only correct answer is CoCo Ichibanya. It was better in Japan for sure, but the one I tried near LA wasn't horrible.
I should not watching this right before dinner
I aint gonna lie i clocked Violet Myers immediately
It was all a poverty pity party until the chad Taco Bell arrived at the function

i don’t get why he said that they don’t have plate disposals and lids in japan, cuz in kura sushi in japan they have those
I would die if Hasan ever got to collab with abroad in Japan. My two worlds colliding
Watching this while eating a shitty microwave ramen 😔
I ate canned Chili sin Carne while watching this. I helped it a little bit by frying some onions, garlic and fresh peppers to add to the Chili.

I don’t know whether we think American food is bad. We just think there’s a lack of regulation and transparency so it’s easy to eat unhealthily.
"it's not omakase, that's sushi" Bruh, お任せ just means "Chef's choice". It applies to a fixed menu.
14:33 I like Panda Express, it tastes good
Shinsengumi Ramen in LA/OC slaps hard enough to back Hasans ramen claim

Personally I think LA doesn't have that many great Japanese restaurants to begin with. I've had better in Seattle. You go to LA for Korean food
What I don’t understand is why people think location matters in authenticity. Outside of ingredients. I swear, even if a Japanese person moved to LA and started a ramen shop, you’ll have people crying that it’s not authentic.
ngl toro & xanax sounds fire asf
Hey yoshiniya slaps. Especially with the coupons.
200 really isn't that bad for high grade wagyu omakase tbh
okay we know both are bad, but Panda 100% clears yoshinoya

Avocado roll was made in Vancouver
Nah I'm pretty sure being $200 has something to do with how good it is idk tho I'll just eat my taco bell🙂
