I wish I knew more cats like this. Almost every cat I’ve known through my life either irrationally hated me or was just kinda indifferent.
The ones who are affectionate like this fella are a godsend, though.
most dog people just don’t like cats because cats won’t serve them or be at their feet. Cats are meant to be pampered and served.
Both dogs and cats do, maybe cats don't put their feelings out so vividly, at least not always. Plus they are different too.
Our cats have always expressed everything, even if not like a bengal. Looking peacefully, meowing at me to ask for food, lying on my bed, giving headbutt when I'd bow my head to his head's level, his brother hiding at thunderstorm sounds.... I don't think this are feelingless actions.
I honestly just like dogs better. Cats are cute and all, but like dogs to me are better animals to have a friendship with. They also make me feel more safe
i like both equally, dogs are man’s best friend and very loving and will make you feel better, not to mention they are excellent working dogs when it comes to being service dogs, guard dogs, police dogs, etc. Cats are emotionally supportive, independent, cuddly, and calm. It just irks me when people think all cats are the same; you just have to find the right cat for you, and don’t treat a cat like you would treat a dog because they’re not the same animal and will not like it. If you want something hyper and playful and something to pet and give constant love, get a dog. If you want something calm, quiet and mellow, get a cat. There are completely different animals and which one you prefer will differ with your personality. Introverts will like cats and extroverts will like dogs :)

I have severe anxiety and I've watched this video several times when I have panic attacks in the middle of the night when there's no one for me to talk to. it's one of the only things that I find works to calm myself down. Anxiety is something built up in the mind. At the end of the day depression, anxiety and all such conditions are hypothetical conditions .

This video genuinely makes me feel so calm, because I used to have a cat named Mayhem, but we called her MayMay as a nickname. We had to give her away when we realised that my mum was really allergic to cats. I miss her a lot, and tbh hearing a cat purring is so calming to me.

Lol my cat is my best friend for like 7/8 years :) I used to own two cats, I had to choose between the two which absolutely broke me.
this cat is so calm and well behaved. when i pet my cat too much it attacks. one time it bit my entire arm even tho i had already stopped petting it

That’s overstimulation for you. Try getting your cat’s energy out with lots of play if you can. That should help curb that behavior.
your cat has petting aggression!! its a form of overstimulation and its perfectly normal and not because your cat doesnt love you. i know its been a couple years since you posted this comment but when my cat started this i felt so discouraged until i looked it up. and if its not a hard bite it could even be a love bite. playing with your kitty can help and normally it fades with age :) hope this helps
