See the hitch plate on the other one? Something like that needs to be on that one too. Without it it will flex and blow the bottom out of the transaxle. Cool mower though! And if you want it to rev higher, just bypass the governor like you said. Just don’t hold it long because it is very hard on them. Those things do smoke like a fright train sometimes.
I did my 116 abt a month ago, & I had to yank the trans, if you can try to add some oil in the transmission cuz anything beyond stock or a 1-1 ratio you need some sort of lube in it not grease. My 116 goes like 15 rn. I drilled a hole in my muffler & added a brass fitting in it to pump diesel fuel into the hot exhaust for extra thick smoke.
I heated the pulley and sharft with a propane torch and let WAX MELT onto them and let them cool then spray oil on them and it came off with some persuasion but I didn't expect it to because of the rust ,, try the wax and let me know if it works for you guys
Only would like to know what size pulleys to charge to and what speed Not for racing but to travel to food stores and not have a vehicle at all, just mower and small trailer with wheel brging
I used a puller and it worked but it did bend the pulley I just hit it with and hammer and bent it back cause I might put it back one day probably not mine goes about 30 rn but the belt keeps falling off and I switch the plastic h idler pulleys for Metel deck ones and used a socket as a spacer 😂 should I drill a hole in the transaxle and fill it with oil or should I not worry about it ?
Grind the weld to the center shaft flip it around to the big pully so the key way can go on the crank shaft with the big pulley up top where the belt rides. Also you will have to re weld it. Thank you for your comment.
The one that worked out of the pile of belts I have ha ha. Every tractor will be different lengths you just have to find the one that works and possibly add idler pulleys. Thank you for your comment.
@@Mo_2118 ah yeah that makes sense if u keep it dry yeah it probably won't slip if u keep it like 2in and up but even that is kinda pushing it I'm just thinking about bringing it into any mud don't go smaller than a 4in or if ur gunna water Ford then don't go smaller than 5in
Was only looking for the video but so glad i come across your channel
Thank you.
I love it reminds me of when i was younger. How many times i said the F ING NEIGHBORS hate us
lol thank you
I would Love to have you two as neighbors. I do the same stuff!
Nice!!! Anything with an engine is so much fun. Check out the mower race video you will love it and thank you for your comment.
You need to adjust the valves on the mower it will start easier.

Thank you for your comment.
So you turned it into a "direct drive" system with no gear ratios or anything? just 1:1?
No same system just small pulley on the back and big in the front. Thank you for your comment

I will probably add some 80 90 gear lube or something and good idea on the exhaust that sounds cool thank you for the comment stay tuned for more

Will do that sounds like a good idea
I did not think you would get a new video out this soon
do you have any idea on how to make a lawn mower with a friction disc faster?
Maybe put a gear driven transmission in it if you have one other than that I'm not real sure. Thank you for your comment.
@@FranklinsteinsGarage cool, thanks!
The wife sass 😂 made me feel right at home
They know they are secretly having fun ha ha. Thank you for your comment.
Backwards hat is equivalent to a helmet.
Absolutely lol
I didn't have a air hammer lol but I will next time around
It sure helps lol.
Love the video please work on camera angles, so we can see what you're doing.
Will do thank you

Nice!!! and run it man. Thank you for your comment.
How did you get the rear pulley off?
Air hammer and a pry bar.
I don’t understand how you make the front pulley can you explain?
Grind the weld to the center shaft flip it around to the big pully so the key way can go on the crank shaft with the big pulley up top where the belt rides. Also you will have to re weld it. Thank you for your comment.
What size belt did you use ?

How fast is it now? What vmax?
32mph
@@FranklinsteinsGarage pulley mod is the only mod?
Yes other than I widened the front in a later video
What size bore is the new pulley you pulley you put on the rear
3"
What width is the middle like where it slides on
1/2 inch 3/4 5/8
Center shaft 5/8
Ok thx
Anything smaller than a 4in rear pully makes the belt slip u can some what get away with a 3.5 but 3in is too small
im running a 2 inch and it has great belt grip, it will do massive wheelies
@@Mo_2118 as long as it stays dry
@@xavieralt2498 I only use it for road use. The off-road one has a 9 inch front and a 7 inch back for grip.

The thing need valve adjustment
It’s a flathead, the valves can’t be adjusted. Probably the carb, those suck
moron its the most reliable opposed twin it probably either has a bad compression release and is burning oil
@@seanmckay3392 and it’s a flathead so the valves can’t be adjusted
Fucken badass
Glad you like it there will be more
Did not finish video, you said pulley swap and spent 7 plus minutes. Blah blah.
How so?
Lot of talk and no action
How do you mean?
