I got a controller made by power A how could I disassemble or clean it
I will definitely be looking for this video in the future
Thanks @Noob Soup! Glad you like it 😊
Nice pfp
I NEED IT NOW

Can you make a video on helders analog stick drift fix
RUclips definitely read my mind. My control have this problem, but I didn't research about, this content appear to me in the right moment
TMM is unique and I can tell that he is really here to help us out rather than for the money. He is such a good and friendly guy.
Thank u so much @jumpy. I love this community!
Hit it really hard
Where is the link to replace the sensor inside the analog stick?
Hey where's the link to those sensor thingies? I could do with a few
Where’s the link for the sensors? It’s not the description
I lost a PUBG match because my right analog drifted upwards while I was trying to snipe the only other guy alive.
Thank you for this video lmao
That sucks you lost coz of drift 😔 sorry to hear
@@TinkerManMick its fine lol
really sucks though
I got a Brand new one from Walmart I plugged it in for some bo2 zombies can't run and everytime I use the left stuck to run it aims my gun
Sooo... where is the link for the replacement?
Isotropl alcohol works on my old vita, but few hours later its back , why is this , is this just acting like a lubricant on a mechanical issue or is it helping to move all the crap stuck in there before drying up ?
putting a whole new joystick module is easier and a better solution as all this does is not actually address the reason for the drift, that pieces of plastic broke off and are causing interference.
Piensan de verdad que alguien hará este proceso alguna vez en la historia? 😅
I’d rather just get a new controller cause this is too much
Hmmmm $90 To replace, or ten minutes of effort and $3 worth of canned air and a toothbrush... Think I'll go with this first. If you are going to stop using the controller anyways why not give it a shot?
@@randoprior4130 it’s $60 and that method takes too long

Bruh it pains me how people let their controllers get so damn dirty. I’ve had mine for 5 years, playstation pro, never cleaned it once but still works good as new.
My main question, is will this alcohol ruin my controller in any way?
haha i have had 2 xbox 360 controllers for 12 years and they still have no stick drift
Where were you beafore one year ago
Say what now 1:46 😏
Yo, you're a lifesaver! My new Xbox controller just took a dump on me... only 2 months after the manufacturer warranty expired. Thanks for posting this, I'll have to do this as I'm troubleshooting.
Usual story hey! Why is it always just after the bloomin warranty runs out? Look into 'planned obsolescence' - maybe a topic for the future?
Hope you manage to fix it champion! ✌
@@TinkerManMick Oh, I'm well aware of planned obsolescence and there's not a shadow of a doubt in my mind that's what it is. Would love to hear your take if you have a chance to talk about it. Cheers! ✌️
Mine has stick drift the second i plugged it in from the box
Did this end up working for you?
Controller drift is especially annoying when you prefer navigating menus with the D-Pad and your selection goes all over the place.

Thank you for helping me not drift out of cover and get shot lol
I used to find i was always walking off my builds in fortnite 😅
Are there any ways to fix stick drift without having to take the controller apart? I don’t want to try and take it apart and mess something up 😂.
Honestly I have very slight stick drift and I don’t want to break my controller and dismantle it over a tiny stick drift
without taking anything, just pour a bit alcohol down the gap under the stick. move stick around. alcohol will gather up all the dust and shove them aside, hopefully freeing anything stuck. no guarantee though
@@100percentnotabear thanks I might try that out.
@@vibenkirbo8531 same especially since I've got an elite controller
Make sure the alcohol is dried up tho, your controller might catch fire
I haven’t had to deal with stick drift since halo 5 came out

@@CJMC-om1fn that’s a shame;-;

I found that just popping out the green things on the side of the joy stick just a tiny bit fixes it

Every controller I’ve owned since 2017 has had problems
Same lmao
It was from Microsoft brand new btw
They're probably made to do that so you have to buy a new one.
@@ttpechon2535 controllers wear out more hours you play they wear there’s not a fix it will happen over and over companies are procrastinating about this problem and eventually will do something but if they don’t they will get sued
This helped alot, thanks!
I ended up switching the sensors from one joystick (which I barely use) to the joystick I always use!
Went ahead and clicked ‘like’ because I know I’ll need this video someday soon 😂
I just bought the shock blue controller and after a month the left sticks start to stick. I was beyond mad. Thanks for the video
Haha I always thought my controller was just weird when I just start spinning uncontrollably, helped me so much!
This would have helped 4 months ago 😂. I decided to get a pc instead
man, i cant believe my xbox one s controller is almost 5 years old, its still amazing to use, did a replacement for the rubber for the pads awhile ago, but recently the left analog is drifting, altho not that bad but definetely going to try this, thanks !
the rubber does wear out
@@Todomo it does, but you know what, 2 years later this thing still works... Like holy... Really a great investment 😂
had my 360 controllers for like 3 years, none of them have controller drift. i have a series x controller for 4 months and the left joystick is starting to drift :/
The other method is to de-solder the analogue stick from the board and replace it, but keep the pod's (the 2 directional pod's on the sides).
why do they make them so cheap nowdays? i paid 75$ for cosmic red dual sense, got drift after only 9 months. also battery wont last not even 2 hours after 2 years. my ps3 controller never got drift, left analog stick rubber just lost flexibility so it wont return back, a controller i used for over 12 years non stop. even n64 ones are immortals. wtf.
nintendo should hire you to make the nintendo switch oled
Do you have a link to where to buy the replacement sensor pad things?
I once used isopropyl alcohol on my controller then it stopped working
you may as well buy a new controller😂
I used to make these things.. they are SUPER easy to repair.
ONLY 2 things i would do to repair these.
CLEAN IT! and replace the springs... that is EVERYTHING. these are SOOO simple.
(wondering why microsoft has such poor quality when they are SOOO Easy and cheap to make godlike quality.
Nice video, as always!
My cousin gave me an old Xbox One S controller that had stick drift, and I took the little sensors from my third party wired controller and now it works, but now my rumble motors broke😢
can you do how to fix drift without taking apart the controller or is that possible
I'll see what I can do but as you can see in this video, you really need to be able to clean it properly to make a difference and the plastic joystick covers block access when the controller isnt disassembled. Challenge accepted though, im thinking the isopropyl method may make a difference if you can get it to spray down past the joystick cover. (Hope that made sense)
I was watching a different video that doesn’t involve opening it all you have to do is blow into the joystick try that also it’s kinda like CPR so yeah try it
@@smorescorp601 I saw those methods, blowing into the stick doesn't work very well and the other one doesn't fix it for long
get a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol then rub it on the edges of the joystick
I’ve had this stick drift problem on 2 controllers now, I’m starting to think I’m doing something wrong
I want to do this but I can't open my control because my siblings will get mad at me
Oh sorry to hear 😓
So relatable!!
An item that saved many of my controllers, WD40 Contact cleaner - NOT regular, but specifically labeled as specialist contact cleaner quick dry. Just remove the stick caps and spray a bit in, turn upside down and let dry.
Almost always works, unless there is something broken in the joystick module.
You just helped fix one of the biggest problems of the century…
I've got like 7 Xbox One controllers, all with drift issues. My original 360 controller still works flawlessly. Tell me Microsoft isn't purposely selling garbage on purpose.
After i replaced the sensors, my right stick started looking up, the stick itself, but when I play my camera just stays looking up
Got a crecked toyming case, it's broken a couple ah teeth off the timing gee...
The raydiata's demaged at the co...
It's got a crecked wata pump...
It's got a fratured injecta line.
Great video mick keep up the good work 👍
Thanks heaps Siomy! 😁
@@TinkerManMick is there any way to fix it without taking the controller apart??
Welp, looks like Imma have to buy a new module and replace it, or buy a new controller, I already tried everything
A good electronics cleaner will work better than alchohol, be very careful what you buy because I have came across some that ate up plastic. The cheaper stuff from waly world works great!
Im happy that I was recommended this. I have had a stick drift for a while but it just recently got bad
Pray for forgiveness and repent for your sins say please God forgive me for my sins God I repent for my sins thank you God I love you amen
The link for step 4 nonverbal works anyone know the name of the metal piece inside the joysticks
As soon as I pulled the joystick off I saw a hair wrapped around the joy stick 🗿
Actually I’ve been using an Xbox one controller for years and it’s good quality but now its starting to drift darn it
I found another, much easier method. No opening needed, just blow in the stick that drifts, like just place your lips on the hole and joystick and blow, it removes the dust from the connectors and voila
Same with the bumpers on xbox controllers
pls tell me how to get a headphone jack out of your controller the blue one is my controller i really need help
Mine drifts not because it’s dirty but because i beat it to mierda after playing halo and battlefield for a while
I actually destroyed my controller to do this, I lament i haven't seen this earlier
It seems that when i blow in sides of the joystick, it helps for 1/2 mins.
Where can you buy the parts, and name? of the sensor? Thanks.
How the hell u know I have stick drift this vid was on my recommended
I fixed it by buying a Playstation. Problem solved
So I did this stuff and it still has drift stick but it has been doing this since we got it
It didn’t show how to take it apart, it was already disassembled 🙁
Not the best method but it worked for me if you don’t want to take it apart you can pull the joystick slightly out then really wiggle it around it won’t be completely clean but it will clear out the area eliminating stick drift if it’s just minor stickdrift
wait, how did you get to this step? It's kinda important.
Ahah I was about to say about the alcohol bit it's going every while your playing the next day your gonna get shocked😂😂
So, where's the link to the replacement sensor modules?
Playing R6 woth stickdrift is horrible
Do these work for VR controllers? If not do you know how to fix VR controller drift without just straight up beating the controller?
Depends which vr headset you have! Let me know and I might be able to help!
I've got a ps4 controller i could use this on :D
Anyone ever say you sound like terry from the movie Soul
Have 3 controllers with this, thank you!
Protip: Give it a blast of Deoxit D5. This removes all the crap getting between the contacts. Deoxit producs are used in audio production to clean up all the potentiometers that are involved on sound boards and electrical contacts in the other hardware, which is an awful lot like what you have in your stick module.
And if your ready to completely replace the modules and are feeling adventurous, try some DeoxIT L260-D5 Grease. As long as the carbon isn't horrifically worn, this should lubricate without messing with the conductivity too much (it's dielectric, meaning thin layers between two contacts will conduct, but any further and it becomes resistive so it doesn't short things)
I'm just commenting my experience to see if it helps anyone. I had wicked drift (XBOX Series X|S) on my right stick. Symptoms were always moving in the up direction. Major pain when playing a game and always looking up.. I tried cleaning by compressed air, Iso Alcohol (99.9%) q-tip and toothbrush. I prefer not using cotton balls due to the transfer of tiny hairs. Nothing worked. I ended up taking out the Y axis sensor (Step 4 in the video) Looking at the sensor using a magnifying glass I was able to see a small white particle (maybe plastic?) and a very thin dust-like hair. I removed the particles using fine tip tweezers, gently cleaned with a q-tip and ISO. Let dry. Reviewed the sensor and sensor housing for any further particles and replaced the sensor. Tested and works better than it did when I bought it. Although I can see how a dust-like hair may make its way into the sensor housing, I can't imagine how a small piece of plastic would work its way in. I'm guessing most of the sensor issues may be due to poor quality assurance.
When you say "module" sounds like "macho" ....lol
Omg you don’t have to do this, blow into your controllers joysicks, push it up a bit first, trust me this works so well

Ok I need some help here. So my left thumb stick is kinda broken and it’s the only controller I have the thumb stick picks up signal but it’s not working I tested it in the Xbox accessories app it says it works like I move it and it picks up and for some reason the thumb stick works in games?? I think cause I played descenders and it worked it just doesn’t work when I go in like apps or in home and stuff like that. So if anyone might have a solution please tell me and btw this happened because I tried to get rid of drift. Lol I just need help (I meant My Right stick)
Me tryna find a link to the sensor pads 😅😅😅
Earned a sub. great video that will help a lot of people.
Where’s the link for the modules?
Its funny bc i cant even open up my controller
This made me appreciate how Nintendos joy con's almost felt like they were designed to be easy to replace.
I can’t find the sensor in the Description😢
Can you make a video about how to replace the modules? I tried everything else but they haven't worked. I have been having this problem for a while now that the second module is starting to drift too. A nice step by step video on how to do it would be nice.
I don't know cuz I'm 10 do you know a easy way

Can you do one for Nintendo switch controllers? Every time I get one it’s drifting in two weeks
