Das my bro!!! Jesse Puente!! Such a great experience to attend that event back in 2015. I got to see my old school bmx bros and meet new ones. I flew in from Hawaii to view a VW bus prior to this event but was busy that whole weekend because I was hanging out with friends in Cali. But right after the One Love jam.... I ended up buying that VW bus and drove it to Las Vegas because I had no where else to leave it when I bought it. Lol. I was supposed to ship the VW bus back to Hawaii but because of complications it wasn't gonna work out. Long story short.... I ended up and decided to move back to Las Vegas a month or so later. 🙂🤙
it's amazing how much freestyle has evolved. I remember in the 80's when 20X1.75 tires was the standard, now it's 20 x2.X. Fat ass tires. Intergrated headsets? Mid bottom brackets? No brakes? What you talking about Willis?! I'm happy to see that the sport is still happenin'. The love is still there. Enjoy it brothers! Eventually we all age....physically.
Yeah I was able to do tail whips, scuffing but nothing like these guy's. I ended up getting ran over when i was 16 just riding down the sidewalk casually, never got back into it though I'll still ride my preformer on occasion.
Awesome flow, congrats to you all guys! Joe Cicman, at 0:15 that jump has been haunting me for a while, gonna start practising that again until I get it, your easy way of pulling it is truly motivating!
@@oochiewally2783 yea that was my last bike, i picked up skateboarding shortly after. most all of my bikes were thrown together pieces from my older brothers.
after 9 years i come back to this video.gushhh how days changed for me iwas a teen when bmxing was everything to me ,now im fkn miserably working ,but im mentally doing bunnyhops with my guys
I love watching flatland with vintage bikes like the 1986 haro's or 86 kuwaharas or GT pro performers etc... those bikes are way.......nicer than the bikes in this vid. Wish guys with skills like this would make a flatland vid using a vintage bike. I'd watch it over and over again.
To do those tricks with no brakes shows some serious balance, and control of that bike. Great job guys. As an old school rider I'll stick to both sets of brakes. ;-)
Jasper Spirit Cool! Thanks for watching my paintball! I grew up on a BMX bike! Here is an old video of me riding BMX. ruclips.net/video/-0_xwbvJwp4/видео.html
I thought that some of this stuff looks like it was animated with SFM, and it's made half of the tricks as funny as they are impressive and surreal. Seriously, that shit at 1:21 looks like his legs glitched out, clipped through to the opposite side of his bike, and made him start spontaneously spinning. I've never before seen life imitating video games and I goddamn love it.
me too. in the 80's/90's I used to do decades, tailwhips, lawnmower, 180 bunnyhops, and rock walk etc...old skool style, but ya, All this sh!t right here is beyond words.
This shit almost seems like it's fake! I'm not saying it is fake at all, but it's so cool looking that it almost doesn't look real! Lol it's fucking mental and amazing! I wish I could do that!
This, my friends, is better than drugs. A dead brain cannot make you do this, drugs destroy brains and their full potential of doing amazing things like this. Cheers 😎👍
Most flatland tricks unfortuanally don't combine well with the "quick hit/combo" style of modern street riding. But there are riders combining both. Sam Jones for example is a street rider that sometimes puts flatland tricks in his lines. Check out "DOOMED - CHAPTER ONE" by Dig BMX Official and skip to 12:00 to see a crazy edit of Sam Jones. Also, Matthias Dandois sometimes combines his flatland riding with street elements. Joe Jarvis is also a street rider that puts some flatland influence in his lines sometimes.
Hi Tim. would i be right in thinking that a lot of the stuff here would be not possible with mag (skyways) due to too much flex? Also, are the guys here using coasters? are coasters essential for some of the tricks here?
hi guys im going to buy a bmx soon but those tricks u think i can do that im 13 hears old from phillipines but i know a trick but skateboard can u help me a tip about bike
So does flatland not have a toll on the truing of the rims? I figure some tricks when it comes to putting the wheels on extreme angles with weight of them it would bend the rim.
I'm new to bmx and I would like to buy a bike but I'm not sure what I should get.. For a beginner are 20" wheels good or bad? If bad what size should I get?
Spotted your comment 4 years too late. They dislike the video because they're jealous and incapable of doing this. Instead, they are a bunch of lazy lot whose life depends on drugs. Sad really. In my drug-less days we had more fun with bicycles, skateboard and marbles, or just play hide and seek, making every kid on the block happy. Today... drugs drugs, score score. No rest for the wicked. ☹

80s and 90s trick is still the best
Everything I saw in this video was amazing!
Pretty cool seeing riders from 3 different eras in the same place.
Great riding video. From Wheeling West Virginia.
Awesome flow, congrats to you all guys! Joe Cicman, at 0:15 that jump has been haunting me for a while, gonna start practising that again until I get it, your easy way of pulling it is truly motivating!
You mean 0:10
What's awesome is these guys aren't 16 years old anymore, but still killing it.
These guys could totally ride Helltrack! Seriously, the amount of skill that flatland requires is off the map!
Best flatland video I've seen in a long time. Nice to see Martin still riding after all these years!
The balance required to do flatland is insane
0:01 What they called of tricks sorry for my english wrong grammar
Honestly... I think this would make a great Olympic Sport.
True art form. It's like the bike is their dance partner. Amazing.

Very,very impressive.
I was a freestyle rider (of some skill) in the 80's, flat and ramp - but this stuff here just blows my fucking mind!

Puente makes it look so effortless. Also, someone was on a twin tube frame. What the hell frame was that? Haven't seen anything like that in years.

So does flatland not have a toll on the truing of the rims? I figure some tricks when it comes to putting the wheels on extreme angles with weight of them it would bend the rim.

Yeah

Rad. I'm oldschool but this is proof you don't need platforms or other gimmicks to tear it up. Pegs and a low tooth sprocket and you're good to go.
Riding since 85, Peace.
The expert doing crazy tricks...perfect
dam man. I always wanted to learn flatland. this is the only thing I regret not getting a hold of a bike and try.
You can still do it. Some of these guys don't look that young so you could still do it.
Night Mur but they probably have done it for years though.
+Skyefuego They all started somewhere. If you want to learn it then go and give it a try. It's never to late to learn something that you like.
