I’m in hospital with two heart attack’s under my belt and came across this video lying in bed . Today this has cheered me right up as I used to try and do tricks on my old Mongoose about 35 years ago but nothing compared to what these wizards can do . AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩

Yeah !!!! Precisely. Even in the 80’s. Bicycle wheelie and 360 handlebars makes you the man. Plenty of head turner’s seriously. But then only one problem stands in the way. Plenty of bicycles thieves. Those onlookers who envies you have a great looking BMX freestyle bicycle with all brand new. I’m a victim of bicycle theft in worthless red dot 🔴 Singapore 🇸🇬 nonetheless

Been a lover of Flatlanding for years. Did learna little moves and still got em too. Happy to see this sport/art is still around. Dudes are real nice man, Ultra SMOOTH on two wheels

Wow the sport has come a long way since my days of riding my 1987 GT performer. I remember when the neanderthal to forward side glide combo was a big deal. Lots of respect to these guys for the amount of dedication (& painful spills) it takes to get to this level.

Blue. I replaced the mags with Peregrine rims, the stem with the GT box & added Tioga pegs. Had lots of fun on that bike.
Nice. I ended up getting an all black Dyno in highschool that got me out of the house when things got bad before I got a car. And yeah, had lots of good memories on both my bikes too. 😃
Man, flatland is utterly boring these days. It's a hyperspinning trick with 6 different positions. These guys are great, but I second what another commenter said...bring back long, flowing tricks. I'll even take some hopping, ha ha!

There are two types of 41 year olds. Ones that let themselves go and ones that stayed in shape their whole life. You can absolutely do this at 41. Tom Brady just won a super bowl at 43. Stay in shape kids and you will do this for a long time.
No excuse unless there are underlying factors. Look at 2 of the pioneers of freestyle BMX in Eddie Fiola and Martin Aparijo their still doing it at a high level at 60.

I feel like the dude with yellow wheels was underrated. He did all his tricks on the front tire. It wasn’t flashy, but that cross legged nose manual at 2:47 kinda blew my mind lol

Wow, I had no idea what was going on in flatland bmx freestyle lately. These dudes are graceful, inventive and as clichè as it may sound, "Poetry in Motion", these guys have taken what Eddie Fiola, Martin Aparijo, R.L. Osbourne. and Dennis Mccoy just to name a few of the O.G. riders. These guys have taken it to the next level! Much respect! Holy crap don't try that sheet at home kids, it took these dudes years to get to this level. Be safe and wear some pads kids, when you fall you might be able to laugh it off, instead of having to recover for weeks or months!

Wow! All extremely good riders, but in my opinion, Takahiro Ikeda owned it! Not to take anything away from the other riders, he was just on another level.

I`m 38 y.o and I used to do flatland BMX, looking for a Bike to get back on it!
I took my kids to halfpipe on my skateboard at age 40. After a few kick turns I realized one good bail is gonna have a lot more hurt attached to it than when I was 18

I'm 36... did flatland for years. Tried recently. Found out it's not like riding a bike lol my balance was trash... the mechanics were still there but literally no balance. You definitely lose it if you don't use it... the falls are a lot harder too now being older lol. But definitely ride on, bro!

40 here, also did flatland BMX when I was young. Broke out my old Vertigo and the bike outpaced me, so I’m using my 26” now to keep things slow. Winter’s gonna hurt progress, but a 36x58 basement w/10’ ceiling should help me keep goin

I used to ride for GT and we went to freestyle camp and we learn how to do all these flatland tricks by training on unicycles without using breaks.

I always had frankenstein bikes. Mixed parts hutch cranks, gt 6 spoke directional mags, gt forks , stem and clamp. Sharp sport frame and cw bars. Had mongoose motomag frame and fort, redline vbars , tufnek stem and sugino cranks. I always wanted an 87 redline , or an 87 gt performer all white.

Flatland frames seem so small because of their steep angles,I've always had made respect for flatlanders,Chad Degroot had a mean flatland style back in my day,I think he became a very rider though
