For years, when I went shopping and got into the truck afterwards, I would need to sit for a little bit until my disc in the lumbar area slipped back into place. I figured if it is still moving around, it was doing okay. Haven’t experienced that in a while. Lately, I find my legs aren’t working quite right. Not sure what’s going on.
What is the difference in reality and in treatment? In my case the doctors can't decide if it is hernia or bulging. I can barely walk for 21 years now! I am desperate! Naprapat and physiotherapy only made it worse. Everything seems to work differently on me. Greetings from Sweden!💖
I am so sorry to hear that. They can definitely be different from bulging to herniations. It also depends on mechanics of your body, previous injuries, limitations, nutrition, etc.
Thanks for the visual demonstration. Okay, that what it is, so what is there to help remedy the bulging disc scenario. And is it reversible. What exercise are there to help avoid it from getting worse and becoming a herniated disc?
This is great illustration I’ve leg pain that starts when I bend forward…say, when I have to tie shoelaces And after I wake up…tried so many exercises.. Doc..what do you think would be the issue..if I may ask
Thank you explaining this so very simple. Thank you. Now I know what's going on inside of me, yeppets bulging disc, seen it on the MRI. I do not surgery so I'm strengthening my muscles what El Paso Manual Therapy, it takesvtime yet I can feel a difference after 3 months
Hello Dr ...I'm from India.. I've AVN problem.thats why my walk is too bad..can u plz tell some exercise to improve my walking...I feel very badly back pain and leg pain.. please help me..
Mine literally ruptured and was pressing against my nerve. I could barely walk. Pain was unbearable. Ended up in the emergency room and then had surgery the next day. I believe it was called a laminectomy.
Thank you ive been wondering what the difference is. I'm a little confused though. Can a bulging disc ever cause a pinched nerve? I have a pinched nerve in my neck but was told I have a bulging (cervical) disc not a herniated one.
Hello Madam I am from India Thanks for making us understand in easy words I had disc bulging at L4/L5. I just wanted to know is is completely curable in my entire life.. I am 177cm tall 75kg 33age. Lots my active life is now sufferd from this.. Thanks in advance 😊
So basically it starts with bulging, if it gets worse it gets herniated. I have a question though, I can kind of feel something move in the back of my spine in a specific place when i move it with my fingers, it doesn't really hurt, but i DO have other nerve problems down way lower. Could this be herniated, or is it just something else? it moves around fairly easy. Edit: Also, can bulging discs simply be fixed with stretches, therapy, better posture, walking, etc?
My pain management doctor has been treating my lumbars with steroid injections. Still haven't found the exact angle or exact disc that will give complete relief. I flew up in the air & came down on my frozen steps in 2016. Landed on my right belt line & shoved all of my lumbar to the left.
When lying on my back and falling asleep, my left arm and leg become numb and tingling. At times my forehead and left side of face become numb. Any idea, suggestions, help would be appreciated.
I have a herniated disc, causing pain & numbness throughout my left leg. Consulted two orthopaedic doctors and both have suggested surgery. Can there be a non-surgical remedy for treatment of a herniated disc?
I’m 8-9 weeks out. 19mm herniation with possible free fragments..my ortho takes it in steps, NSAIDS if that doesn’t work then epidural, lastly surgery. But per what he said 80-90% feel with conservative treatment. It’s really just about taking it easy and getting through the struggle everyday. Today is my first day without taking ibuprofen hopefully this will continue. I had the numbness and tingling in the leg for weeks, couldn’t sit down in a chair for more than 5-10min. Now I can sit for hours. And walk a few miles a day. Just take it easy.
Amazing video. The spine has pneumatic suspension the human body is so amazingly engineered. I still can’t believe we push the theory of evolution over the acknowledgment of intelligent design
That’s amazing 🫡 it makes sense now, I have 2 bulging discs and get awful sciatic from the lower back to my feet, usually on my left side, I’ve also been experiencing numb patches in the shin and calve area, any idea of any exercises I could to help ease it please??🙏🏽
This differentiation is much needed. There is so much confusion surrounding this. Everything is just interchanged. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this demo. Its helped me understand whats goung on.
Good info, thank you. If you have a bulging disk, are there some exercises that can be done without aggravating this area?
Absolutely brilliant explanation and diagram nice one 👍 seriously good

Can a bulging disc eventually return to normal with chiropractic treatment?
Thanks for sharing. Excellent explanation!
Yes, it can with all different forms of therapy.@@christianverve5417
You're welcome!

Great video! What can cause a desiccated disc and what kind of treatments are available?

Hi doctor, is there any treatment or exercise for someone with both herniated disc and spinal stenosis?
I like the video, I was told I have a collapsed disk does that mean its flattened?
So does the measurement come from each fiber? They say mine measured 15mm and is ruptured?..
Well explained
Can either mend on its own if the pressure is alleviated?

I keep hearing right or left. Is it possible for both right and left leg to be affected at the same time?
Thank you.
no doctor has ever explained this to me! so my disc is bulging not herniated, thank you! I thought all my jelly was out 😂

Gorgeous eyes.
Thanks for that. 👊😎

Hello, is it possible to treat bloating and return to its natural shape?
Do facet steer the movements?
Muscles and your nervous system will steer movements.
Umm didn't hear a word you said too focused on your beautiful eyes!! ❤
For the herniated disc, that the liquid spills out. Is surgery the only best bet for treatment?
Thank you.
I have 2 herniated discs in my lower back with sciatica too doing physio but nothing is helping
Will you tell me what I need to do to heal myself at the house I have a herniated disc?
The difference is that with a bulging disc, you sit in a wheelchair and with a herniated disc you still can walk.
It’s the opposite of what you said. Herniated is worse.
Thanks
So for my first MRI scan I had 3 herniated disc (S1,L4,L5). Now, my second MRI scan it only shows two bulging disc. Does it mean it heals that fast??
Can it go its own
I have a herniated disc, causing pain & numbness throughout my left leg. Consulted two orthopaedic doctors and both have suggested surgery. Can there be a non-surgical remedy for treatment of a herniated disc?
You only take surgery if you ruptured it. Have you try epidural injection?

So a bulging disk would not cause compression on a nerve only a herniated disk?
Bulging disc cause compression by movement. Herniated disc you move or not cause severe pain. Based on my experience.
Have you study medicine?
