I loved the mistake story. My mom was a hair dresser, and lots of friends expected free or cheap services. One bad haircut is a great way to stop that from happening! 😝
“Nothing happened, girl.. we didn’t see anything!” Omg that was so hard to watch and Hair Buddha went 😮 at the same time I did. We had the same reaction, but I loved his encouragement, like nope nobody’s gonna know about it, it’s all good 🥰 and I enjoyed the story time; we all have to make mistakes to become better.
I started going grey in my early 20's...I have very dark brown hair, so I just dyed over the grey...but then I got bored of the upkeep and just grew to like my new fancy naturally occurring highlights. LOL
@@AdirondackRuby Yep! I have met people who were jealous because I have long, goes to my butt, very thick hair and I hate it. It's too hot and I wish it was thin and short like to my shoulders where I can still put it in a ponytail. I only keep it now as a security blanket at this point as I had a horrible haircut when I was a young teen and haven't gotten it cut since. And because my hair grows so slow, it makes me hesitant to cut it.
Same! Started going grey as a kid for some reason. My dad plucked out my first grey when I was like 7 or 8 years old! I’m 25 now and the front of my hair is rapidly greying. I stopped dyeing it last year to just embrace it. 💖
I loved your story about your first "clients"! 🤣 I agree about making mistakes. It is just a reminder that we are human, and, maybe after some time and reflection, a good thing. I try to reflect every night on if I laughed at myself during the day. It keeps me humble and from taking myself too seriously. Thank you again for your anecdote. It was a nice story and I enjoyed learning a bit more about you!
When I was in beauty school I was cutting this man’s hair and I accidentally used my shears instead of my thinning shears. We were able to fix his hair and it looked just fine, but I almost had a heart attack.
You caught me off guard, I literally spat my coffee all over myself and my laptop with your "you cannot cut hair" -Mom. Never drinking again when watching your videos 🤣🤣🤣
I did cosmetology in early 00's ( didn't become licensed) but we were taught to have the lip on the inside. They never taught us about the reason! I'm so glad I found you
Hello Hair Buddha! I bleach, tone and cut my mom’s hair this weekend and I was very proud of the result. I used your tips and even though my mom bought her bleach at the drugstore, I did buy her a professionnal toner. I was so afraid because her roots were a greyish color but the lengths were already slightly yellow. So I bleached her roots first and after 30min I put the remaining on the lengths. The roots were level 10 and the lengths were level 9. I bought a level 9 toner with 6% Volume and did the roots first wait 5min and add it to the lengths. I did section everything and it turned out so great! Same for the hair cut but even if I took fine sections it finished more short than what we expected 😂 Anyway she love everything and we were watching your tik tok’s videos in the process that was awesome thank you for everything you’re my favorite youtuber 🥰🙆♀️
It feels so weird to see that every single person in these videos are insanely confident to do all these mistakes, and they always look like they have no thoughts behind those eyes 👀
The woman that got the thinning shears and the regular scissors mixed up, you watched her like we watch horror movies! I loved your reaction! When you jumped, I jumped too XD

Aside from double checking to make sure you have the right shears, get them in a different color. When I did hair about 30 years ago ( career change after that), I had a small, black asymmetrical handled pair of shears, a standard-size, brushed silver thinning shears and a chromed "chunking" pair. Nevertheless, I still checked to make sure I had the right pair. You also have to double check to make sure you have the correct (and securely attached) guard on your clipper. I even painted the size marker white so it was easily readable. Easy little things to do in avoiding a big, embarrassing mistake that may cause a traumatic experience for the client.
Honestly, everytime i go to the hairdressers i pay a lot of money and they end up ruining my hair, i am never happy with their job. I have been cutting my own hair since 2 years and i am so happy with it! Finally!
😂😂 omg the reaction when that girl accidentally cut her hair thinking it was thinning shears!! And topping it off with the genuine “you don’t see it girl nothing happened ” I would LOVE to have him as my stylist because he felt every part of that cut.
Yeah that's why when I started to get too many grey hairs (I'm in my twenties and I always had grey hairs like everyone else in my family) I stopped coloring, now I love my natural tinsels💜💜
After years of being a natural gray and brown I had my daughter in law dye my hair a medium brown (ammonia free) back in Oct. Decided not to keep dying it so I'm letting it go back to my more gray than brown color on its own. (Watched to many videos of people destroying their hair) Its going to take awhile since my hair is down to my bottom. Lol. I will be patient though.
OMG the story of giving those kids a haircut when you were 12... I'm Dead💀 🤣🤣🤣. I too learned a lesson. At one point I thought this was a viable career for me, I'm actually pretty good at colouring and styling, but In high school I took a cosmetology class and we had to cut a mannequins hair. I just remember mine getting shorter and shorter as I desperately attempted to get it even, only to hear my teacher call out to the class "make sure you don't take them too short, cause the other classes will be practicing on them too" I was like 😬 too late🤣. It was that day that I learned I CAN NOT cut hair!!! 😂😂😂
My hair is natural silver. I dyed it dark brown for years until I got sick of it. I tried everything and anything available to lift out colors, bleached, etc. it was a learning process! In the end, the only way to get the natural grey or silver really is to be patient and let it grow. Was it worth it? HELL YEAH! I get compliments on it all the time. Teenagers want to know where I had it done. I say the salon of life! Having a teenager, going through a divorce, moving is how I got this color!!! It really takes about a year and it looks adorable with a pixie cut. The shorter you cut it, the sooner your hair will be all natural. It’s so healthy w/out all of the dye as well. Colored conditioners are fun too!!!
I had my hair bleached solid blonde over where the colour was and highlited blond in the roots by a professional. I am happy with the results and everyone loves it.
That's funny. We both said at the same time, Why isnt the daughter doing it?? Lol I gasped when you did when she cut with scissors not the thinning shears! O. M. G.
Thanks so much for Working so hard for us!I am not a professional!Exactly!😁😂😃I salute all this people!I am going to my hairdresser tomorrow!Stay safe everybody!Winter in South Africa now!❄❄❄❄😷
I’m going to be trying out a balayage for the first time!! Thankfully I’ve been watching your videos for the last few months for tips/do’s & don’t’s. And I will have some extra hands for help with the bleaching process. Wish me luck!!! And if it fails I will send you the results 😆😂
When the first woman said overall it looks natural I yelled no it doesn't and my daughter asked me was a watching people destroy their hair again on the Hair Buddha channel 🤣🤣🤣🤣
so true..... we all made mistakes ,im a hairdresser for 40 years and find myself saying the same as you in some bleach fails,,,,, dont pull it . and sections , love your channel, and your witt

I wish that I could have watched videos like this when I was a teenager. I died black and it made my already very pale skin look like a zombie. I tried using color oops on it. My roots were orange. The rest of my hair was streaky with orange, black, light black, and a streaky yellow. I almost died and I never done that again. I have had a lot of fails over the years but now I am old enough to not get so upset about my hair. I was lucky enough to be able to transfer to gray during covid. I was thinking about trying the metallic silver that the first girl used. I am so thankful that I couldn't afford it and couldn't go anywhere anyway. I have also learned how to not cut my hair from these videos. I am getting pretty good at cutting it now. I also see green.😂The ponytail cuts that always ends up uneven on me. The 2nd girl... Why? She wasn't blind!😂I also thought bang girl did it with few hair.
I think you are an amazing person thank you for the laughs and your intelligence about hair sending you and your family much love and respect in Yeshua Christ
Oh dear, that happened to me once in a salon: the hairdresser took the wrong scissors, she thought she had thinning scissors. Yeah, she didn't. And I don't have a lot of hair, or very long hair. Took weeks before it looked kind of decent. She didn't do it on purpose of course, and she felt terrible. But I felt worse.
Bleaching dark hair is a nightmare. Only ever managed to get to white blonde once and it looked awesome till my hair fell out 🤣. Also the roots came through in like two days. Sigh. My dreams of blonde hair were glorious but short lived 😅
I went gray after years of coliring my hair black with a brown base. Once the new growth was about an inch ii got it all chopped off. Its now long and im really happy with the color. Purple shampoo and conditioner are essential.

I've always used box dyes. Never had a problem
The pitch of "it's not looking natural" on that first one sounds like it was your soul leaving your body HB.
