Hair Buddha you are so smart your intelligence overwhelms me I love your channel thank you for giving us information so we can learn from our mistakes God bless you be safe
Overtone works really well as long as you understand how to use it. Yes, they make colors for brown hair, but it looked like her virgin hair which is not very porous and not going to pick up the color as well as colored hair. She also had very dark hair. I’ve used it before on my light brown hair and it always comes out with a perfect tint. Also they say leave it on for 20 mins, but I leave mine on for 2+ because it doesn’t damage it, and I also use it on dry hair to get a better result. I hope this doesn’t deter someone from overtone because I personally think it’s great. It also does not bleed like arctic fox does.
Her hair is at least a shade darker than the photo overtone is showing. It would have worked if she bleached her hair with a bleach bath first just a tiny bit.
Yeah, that last girl kinda irked me tbh. You can tell she had zero clue what she was doing! That much hair needed like 3 of those tubs at least I feel like to get her hair properly saturated lol she barely had any on her hair then acted confused about why nothing really happened!!
I love oVertone. I used purple for dark brown hair and it did what it said it would do. I eventually went ahead and bleached my hair because I wanted it to be BRIGHT. I don't think they mis advertise... It says it is a coloring conditioner that should be reapplied weekly.. I think people expect WAY too much out of their "for brown hair" line. It did what it says it will do in my opinion. 😁 SO MUCH LOVE FOR YOU HAIR BUDDHA 🖤
I agree.... My whole family uses it and it does what it says.... If she would of gone to reference photos to the right she would of seen that for her hair color the result she got is exactly what they say it will be!
@@prettygirlbones9928 I was going to say that too - she was looking at the wrong photo. Her hair was WAY darker to start with than what she showed in the screenshot.
Thank you Hair Buddha for cheering me up with this video. I'm having a rubbish day but your facial expressions have literally made me cry with laughter. Great job!
Overtone leaves exactly what it says on dark hair: an over tone. Just a nice sheen of color subtly hidden within the dark color. Not dramatic, but very pretty.
Overtone is a pigment depositing conditioner meant to be temporary. They do work but they don’t lighten hair. I think she needed a lot more of the product and needed to leave it on longer. I’ve used them and had good results.
The last video she is just adorable. Her hair looks healthy band shiny so I'm so glad she didn't damage her beautiful hair. The others are so over processed and DRY, DRY, DRY!! NO SHINE whatsoever. She had subtle highlights using the product. Good enough for risky DIY KIT!! 🤟
Really good tip! When sink or skin gets stained, get gel hand sanitizer and magic eraser. Let the sanitizer sit for a minute and wipe with magic eraser and rinse with water.

Overtone works great on my medium to dark blond hair. It is direct pigment, stays for a long time, time can be expanded by using their coloring daily conditioner, and lifts pretty fast if you wash it with clarifying shampoo.

I don’t use Overtone, but I use a similar product on my medium brow hair to dye it dark red. There are just so many factors that go into some of theses conditioning dye. Even though she was using the ‘for dark hair’ line her hair was just far too dark to get anything more than a tint. My hair is naturally dry, thick, and curly. I haven't used Overtone, but myself and my roommate, who has very thick, dark, and coarse hair, have used Joico's Color Intensity semi-permanent colours without bleaching first with a lot of success. But, the fact she had to add SO much of the Overtone and said that she had to keep going over one spot, made me think that her hair was probably very dry ask well, so she likely needed a lot more product to soak her hair in, in order for her hair to properly absorb the pigments. She didn't have nearly enough for the length of her hair.

I do put manic panic type product on virgin hair for 3 hours, and it stains the hair permanently , i have hashy brown little lighter then hers, i alway put ether blue , purple, pink or red on my hole head, had lighly bleached my bangs once, after 3 months the color is washed out but my hair is stained from doing it over and over so other then the root its looking mostly fushia, i find that the semi permanent manic panic works better if most of the temporary dye as faded, and i did find that 1h would wash out in a week , compared to 3h. I do put saran wrap on it while i wait.
I have not tried overtone because I have beautiful natural hair and I love my colour just how it is with the chestnut brown and my white Grey's it's beautiful I like to focus more on keeping my hair healthy so I spend my money on treatments and regular trims ☺️ thankyou for another wonderful video sending you and your family love and light 💛 always.
As soon as I saw what this product looked like it reminded me a little bit of applying henna, which I have done for 9 years. She definitely forgot to oil her face, ears and neck in advance, and yeah, her hair is too dark to show a dramatic change, and that product did little compared to what real red henna would do.
My hair is naturally very light blonde. I still bleached it to platinum and used overtone a few months ago. It barely did anything. I had heard good things but I will never buy it again.

@@hair-buddha I got it! I didn’t record it because it was 2am 😂 I took before and after pictures and posted them on Instagram! I tagged you in the caption :) Perfect for what I was wanting, but probably not for someone with darker hair. In regular lighting, very subtle change. But I love it :)
