I don't know if I'm getting old and I don't have the cleanest mouth in the world but my goodness do these young ladies not realize how horrible they sound with the MFS in the constant stream of f*** this and f*** that. If I recall and there was a time when I swore like a trucker but only in certain environments. Definitely not in taping a video that I was putting out to the world. My language tone down immensely when I had my kids unfortunately my daughter picked it up anyway. I certainly enjoy myself more without a constant stream of curse words coming out of my mouth.
Hair buddha is down to earth, sincere and helpful, that's the real difference. Im so over these 'over the top' people and their even more absurd reactions just to fill there own pockets. Keep this going hair buddha! We love it!
So, many moons ago, when I was 10 my grandma, who was once a hairdresser fifty years ago, noticed my bangs were making me like a sheep dog; they were too long in covering my eyes, but not long enough to tuck behind my ears. So she decided to trim them; the problem is, she had TERRIBLE rheumatoid arthritis in all of her fingers. So I’m not sure how she managed to hold scissors. So she cut them…..and to say it was uneven was an understatement. My dad decided to then “fix” what she did, and cut my bangs so that they barely reached the middle of my forehead. I was miserable, so he took me to the hairdresser’s. The hairdresser took one look at me and then at my dad and said: “Dr. Brooks, I promise to never diagnose a patient if you promise to never cut hair again.” 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. My yearbook picture taken that year was after my dad “fixed” my bangs but before he took me to the hairdresser. And for Christmas that year we made ornaments for our parents with a cutout of that year book picture. Fast forward to my mom and I putting up the Christmas ornaments the other day, and she took out that ornament with the yearbook picture with those bangs, paused and then grimaced: “Ooooh that was a rough year wasn’t it honey?” 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤣
I don't remember being this dumb at that age. I cut my own bangs lots of times and *gasp* without RUclips tutorials and it went well because I took sections and was not an idiot.
Not relevant to this video, but I bleached my hair last night, and just wanted to thank you for the advice to use Schwarzkopf BlondMe with 20 vol. Seriously like the Cadillac of bleach, my fine hair didn't even get tangled by it. I used to always use quick dead with 40 volume 🙈 I didn't know there was any difference between bleaches 😂. I know I should have gone to a hairdresser, but it's hard to fine one to trust. Anyway you're my hair hero 💖
Omg I know! I should have started with BlondMe from the beginning because I am going from dark brown to silvery gray and I have learned many things about hair damage in the process.
This is an exceptionally educational video. So much knowledge imparted in such a short segment. I appreciated the demonstration with the comb and pen; the difference between the one and two twists finally clicked for me. Thank you.
If there is one thing I have learned from this (and many other) hair cutting videos it is to use PROPER HAIR CUTTING SHEARS!!!!! I trim my own bangs regularly and boy oh boy does it make a difference to use the proper tool. Really that goes for just about anything in life... Use the proper tool for the job! The overall lesson learned from Hair Buddha: For anything other than bangs trim, I go to a professional! I spent the better part of my teens and 20s doing my own hair at home and thus walking around with awful bleach and color. Never again! Finally at the age of 40 I have learned that it's just a better result to go to a pro. It can be expensive (I like fun, bright colors) but its worth every penny. Thanks for another fun video Hair Buddha! ❤️
In Britain, we say “fringe”. I trim mine between hairdressing appointments. I have proper hairdresser’s scissors and I learned how to do it properly by paying careful attention at the salon! And I never cut too short. Took a long time to learn to do it right.
Indeed..ask for a quick bang in a British hairdressers & you'll get more than you bargained for 😂😂 I left a link.above for the ULTIMATE British fringe on a man it's Dave Hill himself ,his hair was bloody crazy !lol
I remember learning to call them that when I was in Britain. I really enjoyed learning all the different words for things. I'm Canadian. There was a couple times where the word difference messed things up for me, ie I remember some issue with what we call one-way ticket resulted in me not getting the correct bus ticket. But the funniest was when some little kid walked up to me in the common room of a hostel and asked me if I had a rubber. Here, that is a slang word for condom.
Hahaha your genuine jump reaction when that first girl shrieked 😂. Truly a hilarious reaction video! Hope your eardrums are still okay after all of that!
Oh man, HB, my oldest daughter just cut her bangs, and my youngest daughter convinced me to do it too… we both look at each other every morning and say look at us with our “bangs” sticking up like bat wings 😱🙄😬
I tried to cut both of my boys hair because I’m broke and I didn’t realize they both have multiple cowlicks in the back that will not lay down now. My youngest son said he looks like he has a bowl cut 😂🤦♀️
Omg the drama! 🥳 The problem you are having ladies, is your hair has a memory of being parted straight down the middle away from your face. You need to give it time to get used to laying Forward or parted more to one side. I was a teenager in the 80’s.~90’s. Everyone had bangs. Some teased and sprayed to death so they were 4-6 inches high! (Guilty 😂) My hair was long, permed, and Julia Roberts Red!!!
Hello, Hair Buddah❣ My favorite part of my off day. Woohoo. I now have a reason to smile and laugh. I saw you uploaded on your other channel too, at this same time as this one. I will definitely be going there after this. 🌞❤✌🏼
Yes very good watching and learning. Cutting a little at a time and point cutting prevents cutting too short. Have cut my bangs short many times because I went above brow line and didn't blend it.
"I'm going to get my hair cut next week ... but, I want to cut something." Wait, what?! Why? Does she think her stylist is bored and wants to say WTF more times a day? 🤪
I've had bangs for most of my life and trim them myself. It's not that hard. I've cut them too short at times but after a week or so, they've grown in to the proper length. Whenever I get a haircut and the stylist asks if I want them to trim my bangs, I say NO! The one time I let him do it (right before my wedding)- he totally ruined them by cutting way too much- back into my hairline. Two years later, I'm still waiting for those pieces to catch up the the rest of my hair length. Never again. I'll continue doing it myself.
Those scissors with the two girls are kitchen shears. They can be used to crack walnuts, cut meat, and other kitchen needs. Personally, I wouldn’t use them on my hair. But, to each their own 🤷♀️ 😝
Oh Hair Buddha I wished I slept on it. I I'm currently growing out Betty Page bangs I cut a few weeks ago. I have wavy Celtic hair and cut off past the eyebrows, leaving the shortest piece on the end being less than half an inch long. I was doing so good on actually going to a salon for 5 years for haircuts, then I pull this impulsive bipolar manic crap at 2 am. FML. I needed you in my moment of weakness Hair Buddha.
I only ever cut full bangs on toddlers. It keeps the hair out of their eyes while it’s growing thicker. If my kids wanted them when they were over 5 I took them to a hairdresser.
These girls are exactly why people can now buy clip-in bangs! They should have ordered some before cutting though, it would have given them a good idea of how it could look?!
In South Africa we don't say "bangs", we say "fringe" and we differentiate between a "front fringe" and a "side fringe" so maybe that's what the girl meant.
The girl in the yellow shirt really looked as if she had just figured out the purpose of scissors, or cutting in general😂 I am so sorry, but that look on her face had my laughing for minutes...It might have been to loud for my neighbors😅 And as always Hair Buddha is right! I am with you, she was not a fail. She looked fine, even if she wanted it to turn out different
Ok, first of all, I’m fangirling on Hair Buddha 😍 he’s adorable! I’m having a terrible time with my bangs. I can’t go to the salon because my fat a** broke a salon chair once and that’s a humiliation I would rather not relive. My forehead is too big so I don’t like letting my hair grow out, but I don’t know how to get bangs at the right length. At the moment the entire length is driving me nuts in general. I had found a really great video on how to layer your own hair, but suddenly my hair isn’t looking as good as it used to. I can’t cut it because I look awful with short hair. 😩 I’m at the point of almost going in and getting a pixie cut, I just hate to do it because of my weight. I just know I wouldn’t wear it well.
Pony is a size description, sometimes breed/type description, has nothing to do with age. A baby horse is a foal, a one year old horse is a yearling, any (intact) male horse under 3 years old is a colt, any female horse under three yeas old is filly. Thank you for another bang(ing) video 😁. I love these video's when they try to cut their bangs. One snip and they expect it to be perfect 😂. I let them grow now, but when I did cut bangs I took small parts. I didn't know the triangle tip yet, but it worked too.
My mother made me have a fringe. It was always cut right above my eyebrows. As son as I left home at 15yo I let it grow out and haven't had one since. Im now 42yo and hate anyone cutting my hair.
Love, love, love your videos. I always laugh and that is good for me. What do you say at the end? It sounds like "ciao kiss"? Is that right? Thanks for brightening my day.
For like 25 years I have bangs. In the front little girl bangs. I didn't know how to get rid of them, I Tried growing out etc. Once day I went to a Salon school and got this wonderful lady. She was about the graduate. I explained to her whats I Wanted, she delivered. I now have my bangs to the side, its swept to the left and allows my "floof" hair to be curly and cute. I can do have shaven, I can keep it all short but this part etc. Im free! Now I did go in for a haircut and a girl was asking me questions. I was like I don't want 'bang bangs" she was confused, I Explained I don't want anything in front, she laughed and called them bang bangs from then on.
I have curly hair like the first lady... And I had a top hair dresser take a razor 🪒 to my hair and it was absolutely destroyed. The ends were gross and I couldn't for the life of me to get it to curl properly. I cried for days. I wore a hat for 6 months before I could finally handle my hair... I remember when CHI came out with its first hair straightener... I fell completely in love.. I could straighten my hair and not get teased on How curly my hair was. 😂😂😂... Even my own mother called me pube head. Nasty ..

Ladies, when you cut bangs, do try to remember that you have to actually STYLE them to make them look good. They don't just magically happen.

Fun fact, the word for bangs/fringe here in my area of Germany is “Pony”. Like the English word for a young horse. A pony. 🐴😂
Pony is a size description, sometimes breed/type description, has nothing to do with age.
A baby horse is a foal, a one year old horse is a yearling, any (intact) male horse under 3 years old is a colt, any female horse under three yeas old is filly.
I agree, weird name for fringe, in English the ponytail typically goes in the back.
Here in the Netherlands it's called that too 😆. Sounds weird now when you're more into English than your own language.
Cool!
In Belgium too, pony or frou
A pony isn't a young horse, it's a horse under 14.2HH. A foal is a young horse.
