As CMP 50HX I was able to enable RTX rendering, it's probably the less broken thing on the card.
Too bad the 3D raster is completely botched.

Seems like with the recent the unlocking of the bios with recent hack there may be other options as the firmware will be fully editable. Look forward to you seeing if you can make further progress with the now possible bios hack.
Already tried.
That hack was "hugely overhyped": there's no way to crossflash any 2080Ti firmware on my card, an "exception" always kicks in.

Is there no way to firmware flash the card to a non-mining version and get use of the existing output ports?
The spanish (not italian) youtuber sdfx show modified the 2070 driver's ID to use the display port output.

The single-precision floating point performance on the 50HX and 90HX is completely broken, so they can't be used for gaming even if you mod the drivers.
Stay away from those two models.

@@MrBalrogos Games will run slow on those cards because their single-precision performance has been crippled by Nvidia.
They didn't want those mining cards to cannibalize the GeForces, and especially the Quadros/Teslas.

@@goodfinity8432 Who knows... I guess nobody is stupid enough to try the 170HX at its current price. If you can afford one, then you can afford at least a used RTX 3080.

Did you try flashing the bios with an RTX 2070 bios instead? Maybe that would unlock the video output and DLSS / Tensor cores.
Crossflashing has been enabled (exploited) just 8 / 21 / 2023.

A used rx 6600 goes about £140.

I'm taking a CMP 50HX, also with the new ability to crossflash maybe I can put a "real" 2080 TI firmware id string and fool the drivers.
You should try using it on a "modern" meteror lake CPU that has iGPU capable of higher resolution and frame rates.

It's useless.
You cannot flash any firmware (even the new unlocked tools won't allow you to change bios).
I've tried a bench (vkpeak) and the result is pretty obvious : you cannot use the card for gaming. Full stop.

So you can see... there's something (driver or bios, I'm unable to know) that just refuse to execute int16 and int32 instructions.
I've followed the tutorial and the modified driver is loaded, so the problem is somewhere else.
EDIT: I also installed a REALLY OLD, PRE CMP driver that should have no provision for this kind of card... and I forced a 2080 Ti driver.
No change, every time I try to run an INT16 or INT32 instruction the driver issues a reset.
