Haha the princeps with a cup of coffee is Hilarious. Imagine starting your shift in the morning looking out of a window and taking a swig and knowing that everything you see ain't going to be there once you are done by the end of your day.
How I have never paid any attention to Warhammer or played it? The lore of this universe is absolutely fascinating, and ridiculously cool. This is also one of the best lore videos I’ve ever seen, it feels like a nonfiction documentary.
The lore is arguably the best part, atleast for me. Generally the fanbase leans to eitherr the tabletop or the lore. I dont have time or the money to own an army but I love the lore.
I want to get into the tabletop because painting minis sounds cool but it's mad expensive. In the meantime I'm just learning the lore and it's insane how over the top it is lol.
Problem with 40K lore is that it has the width of an ocean with the depth of a puddle. It's all over the place, retcons, different writers, semi-canon and just making shit up as you go. It lacks coherence.
Don't feel bad I'm just getting into it myself, I think the thing about Warhammer is it required a lot of reading and I wasn't trying to read to to see what these goofy-looking characters are about, the hell it doper than halo
Necron highed weapons are also bad news. (Yes just high end not super weapons as they are bad news for the whole system the planet you are on happens to be in)
While I like this video, if I may be allowed to geek totally out for a moment, Imperial warship captains control incredibly more firepower than any titan, or even a legion of titans, can hope to challenge. Titans (and ground forces in general) are needed because (with rare exceptions such as Exterminatus or Abaddon going on a tear) it is necessary to take the world in question from the enemy, not just destroy it. Imperial ships CAN bombard a planet, but not with enough pin-point accuracy to wipe out enemy formations without destroying friendly/allied units. So, when you need something to break an enemy's lines... Yeah, call in the titans.
The Imperium couldn't help defend the Mechanicus worlds cause there was this tiny, wee little conflict going on called the HORUS HERESY, and Rogal Dorn had been recalling everything he could back to Terra to shore up the Imperial Palace's defenses. And the main reason they accepted the Mechanicus as a full Adeptus was because the Mechanicus were threatening to pull out of the Solar War. if Dorn wanted to he would have had that Titan melted to slag by training every single gun he had on that Prince-Apes as you are calling them.
I tried to explain this concept to someone who had tried reading the Titan comics in our school library way back. The look of horrified incredulity at the idea that the machine has a spirit composed of shades of the minds of those who programmed it and have piloted it before and the princeps is basically functioning as a super-ego trying to wrangle the thing into hating and killing only what they need it to, was majestic. It’s a lot easier to get across in the wake of anime getting popular but at the time, it looked like I gave the, a headache…
Do you fear an ant? Because that is what they are to a Titan! Nothing more than mere bugs to be squashed by the foot cleansing the world of heretics for that is what the Emperor of Mankind has demanded!
In ancient Rome a "Princep or princeps," pronounced like prin kept or prin kepts. Could have meant a few things... It usually was taken to mean first or foremost in relation to many things but usually a citizen. A first citizen, not actually in number but meaning a more important citizen versus another regular or lesser citizen. It could also mean things like a company that helps or there companies operate in relation to the environment or even someone trained with specifically longswords or spears. Also an official chief within a certain number of tribes. Also could mean a first work or first edition of books. Augustus famously titled himself as Princep. I love the Roman and Latin stuff in 40K.
Depicted ladies are just much younger and not bonded to titans of the proximus pattern of MIU. Give them a few centuries or a warlord titan and they'll look much less fleshy.
Not just a man, also women. Never thought I'd argue this but honestly with the climate in our community hiding the times that outline why it shouldn't be a problem is a problem.
Jesus I don't know what the fuck is wrong with the algorithim but my feed is always under assault by a deluge of warhammer shit. You do you folks but it's not my thing.

Heretical. But fr, its cuz you watch chunks of em, comment, or open the videos comment section. The more interaction with a category or subject, the more you see it. Ignore em while engaging with new stuff and theyll disappear

You know it's messed up when being absorbed by a machine isn't actually the worst fate of the universe.

Ngl it triggered tf out of me. It's "prin-ceps" it's literally spelled right there. No I after the c...
The pronounciation here is pretty well.
@@CoAndCoLaptopAccount In classical Latin pronunciation it would be prin-keps, but I'm not sure if high gothic always corresponds to that
