Between my wife and I we've owned the Droid 2 through the Moto Z3. My last security update for the Z3 was in 2020. I got the Pixel 6 for that reason. If Motorola does a better job with the updates I might go back. Of course that depends on how good the pixel is, so far it's very good. My opinion only!
Ordered this for $498 (8GB/128GB) with 68W PD charger in the box. Purchased additional 12 month warranty. Perfect for my requirements. I am not a wannabe photographer. Only requirement was high performance for gaming and media consumption. Not bothered about lack of headphone jack. My Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro TWS will work perfectly as this phone has AptX and LDAC codecs (loss less) for HD music streaming over blueetooth. As for the 4800mAh battery, few tips to prolong times between successive charging cycles : System wide dark theme with OLed wallpapers. Display refresh rate at 60Hz, only switch to 90/120/144Hz for gaming, video playback or multitasking. Don't use auto refresh rate mode. Switch off mobile data when connected to WiFi. Keep max charge limit to 90%

@@mirzahamid9612 no that's not a issue and it's built like that i went to a Motorola authorised SC they verified and told that's not a issue. And i am satisfied with what the SC has said. I have been using this mobile for the past 4 months and i am really happy with the performance.

@@alcanalimposible I couldn't say tbh, iv used Motorola for years, since the droid series, right now I have the stylus 5g and moto edge 2020, before that the 2020 moto g power, the lack of developer support and software support form Motorola is what's finally making me switch to a different brand. What I've noticed is most of there mid range phones have more development for custom ROMs and such than there high end as they are the most popular. So I'd look for a good mid range but of course if you don't mind the cheap plastic build quality and being stuck on an outdated android version after 2 years the 2022 edge Should be fine for you then
Nice review. Your review of Edge 20 was spot on. I agree about the poor haptics on that phone. Liked Edge 20 a lot but poor haptics and poor build quality was something that I could not get used to. Nice to see that this one has much better haptics.
@@md.abdullaalwailykhanchowd3974 I mean it's an alright device spec wise however the fact this phone is made completely of plastic, terrible and limited software support. Hard to justify paying almost $1000 for this. So much better options out there.
@@md.abdullaalwailykhanchowd3974 idk about bbk but Samsung at least has stepped up there mid range offering, however for the price of a mid range phone, you can get a used but good old flag ship phone from Samsung better than there mid range, at least here that is.

Which again if you can, would be easier and get more support with Samsung.
Strange to hear that Edge 30 Pro has good battery life. Although I am not in for the camera, GSMArena's battery tests show that it has very poor battery life.
I have this phone now. Agree about everything in your review except haptics. The haptics on this phone is more or less the same as Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro. Perhaps slightly stronger but the same cheap feeling. Midrange phones from Xiaomi have better haptics than this phone.

@@mukeshvarma8341 did not notice this on my Edge 30 Pro. However, I sold the phone one week ago. Using Xiaomi 11 Pro now (not 11T Pro). This phone is better than Edge 30 Pro in every way expect for UI speed.
@@flipp081 thanks for your reply, i just taken to the Motorola authorised service centre near me and they checked and told me that this not an issue and the light will reflect because it has a flat edge to edge display
Would totally agree. This is a huge step in the right direction that fixes a lot of previous problems - even if it's not all the way there yet, especially with the camera and price.
@@BrianAlex A friend bought Edge 30 Pro a couple of days ago but according to him the haptics feels exactly like Edge 20. He has both phones. Rather strange, since you felt it was a clear upgrade on 30 Pro.

Got mines from Verizon and I believe they hit this phone out the park. But for the money you have some better options that include a headphone jack cough,cough Nubia magic 7 pro!
To me the screen size should be at 6.9inch or 7.0 inch. Their camera systems hasn't change at all. The phone is tempting to get because of the specifications. I wish Motorola would do a little more better but they're way behind to me.

@@LOUISVILLECARDINALS i have both. ex the 'camera, (re zoom) the moto is a blast to use. I'm sure if one of the big 'influencers' ran with it the phone would get some well deserved attention. the pixel/galaxy/iphone complex needs some good competition and the moto edge 2022 is it
They guarantee 2 major OS updates. Atleast in the Indian market this is what is known. Great review!

But the Moto marketing department should be whipped for underplaying this helluva performer with its lowest cost for a new SD 4nm processor.
I bought this phone and not really bothered by the camera quality. Gcam saves the day for me ;)
