Dude, a scene that stuck with me from my childhood was of a man ripping his arm off to uncover the skeleton underneath it. It really shocked me. Only when I grew up did I realize that I was watching T2.
I love listening to all of your content Jake. It’s so easy to look at the negative of gaming and movies so I love your positive outlook even on the not so great subjects. Keep up the great work!
Hey Jake, loving your output as usual! I'm curious about your take on youtube as a platform for new creators. Whenever I put up a new video it always feels like an uphill battle to get my stuff out there, even when I think what I'm making is pretty decent. Any good advice for fighting your way up the algorithm and finding an audience these days?
Luck, dude. Any popular RUclipsr will tell you this lol. Might as well just enjoy the content youre making and if people get the chance to see it, hopefully they enjoy it too. Thats all you can do
Do videos on trendy topics if that makes sense. Like take a min to think hmm what type of videos for what games would people be searching for right about now. Personally I feel that gives your video a higher chance of being picked up by the algorithm as opposed to if you did a video on a game that may not be big right now you know like maybe it came out awhile ago so not as many people are searching for content related to that game

Hey Jake, just wondering what you do to unwind during the holidays. Do you catch up on games you haven’t played? Or do you take a break from gaming and do other things like practice saxophone?
If you’re having a hard time making friends to play games with, or just a good friend in general, I 100% agree with Jake about Discord. I am 36 and belong to a decent sized group of a few hundred, and it takes some time, but after a few months you will find someone who you just naturally gravitate towards. Hi Jake! Thanks for your quality content, keeping us updated on gaming related stuff both on Gameranx and here. I have a question for the next Q&A: Do you have a favourite game that does NOT hold your hand and forces you to learn by trial and error? As a horror game fan I must say one of my favourites is Visage, that without terrible controls would be a perfect game for me. I would like to try other games that are similar to that, where you have to explore and figure out things completely on your own.

That's a shame for andor. Although I don't think it matters whether or not they put it out there a lot more heavily or not people just have fatigue they've been burned too many times
Question for the next video: Whats your opinion on the perfect length for a game? Sometimes I feel like a game being long is an overrated metric of whether or not it's a good game. Ya know - you don't want every movie to be 3 hours long, sometimes you love a 90 minute film that knows exactly what is is and delivers on it. Not into games being long just for the sake of being long. curious what your take is. Thanks for doing what you do Jake, really love watching your videos they are calming to me.

I think freedom fighters could use the same game play from battalion wars. Then having sections of the city walled off so that you would have to manage different groups in those different areas with the goal of merging all the groups by the end of the game

Pokémon, especially mainline games unfortunately can’t slow down, they have to release the game around the time the anime and card game is ready to show the new stuff. The anime is basically in an unchangeable time slot on Japanese TV. So they game usually has to release when the anime is showing the new Pokémon.

Hey Jake, always wondered; is it ever difficult or awkward to not talk about your partner at work/during videos? As a married guy myself, It's so difficult to cut my wife out of my thought-process since she's so present in my day-to-day life haha.
A week after freedom fighters came out my dad picked it up and it was one of my favorite childhood games I probably only had about four games total at the time and that one was one I played probably 12 to 13 times over back to back nowadays the gameplay and graphics wouldn't be seen anywhere close to a masterpiece but at a young age where graphics didn't matter and gameplay was everything freedom fighters was everything
