Thanks for the video!!! I'm going to try installing this oring with the head slightly backed out of the pump while the pump is still on the engine. Wish me luck.
Hey, Chris, excellent presentation! Watching an expert such as yourself perform a challenging task is always instructional. Ideally, it will prompt you to say, "Hey, I can do this." Or, such guidance can help you realize that, for whatever reason, this particular task may be better left in other hands. In my case, it's the latter; based on your video, I have concluded that a cost to benefit analysis dictates that, realistically, my leaking injection pump issue should be given over to more experienced hands such as yours. It's not that I could not possibly do it correctly, it's simply the odds are, all things considered, I would not succeed. Thanks for the critical input. 😂
Hey Chris Did one of these and went perfect. Did a second just for a leak around flat oval cover and figured may as well due high pressure head oring. Seemed to go together fine but did not flash up right away like normal. Should have did some investigating but I’m a hurry grabbed some brake wash. Run for 20 sec . Broke everything inside pomp. Would you know for sure if pressure head would have tighten up fine if the drive pin would not have been in correct position in plunger which is what I believe happened.
On the power screw is there a rubber o ring between the pump and the nut that locks the power screw. Just turned mine up and have a fuel leak right there just trying to figure out how to get it to quit leaking. Thank you
There's a jam nut that keeps it from backing off I've seen a crush washer in between that nut and injection pump. But mine backed off and I had not fuel leaking, could possibly have an internal problem
I'm going to try it, I was able to on my 2001 jetta tdi, I just stretched the seal over the head with the 4 ports and then tightened everything up and it worked great

Thanks. This is the video I've been looking for. I have the same type of leak going on.

Sounds like pin on gov was miss aligned. It does happen
Thank you for a great video.
Thanks, great tutorial. 😊

Mine leaks from where the injection lines are, can you remove that part without taking off the pump? Thank you
No. You'll have to remove entire pump to be able to reseal. There's no way to keep internals from falling out
