In Japan, nobody complains about modern control because we know classic is better than modern after all. It is not about modern control. You can’t underestimate Tachikawa. You never ever underestimate Japanese players from the land of fighting games.
Do you guys truly believe that the reason 99.99 percent of the pros in sf6 use classic is for something like honor or because they aren't "scrubs". When you make your living off of this game thats the last thing you care about, especially when you have a chance at the better part of a million dollars. They do it because its optimal, simple as that. Angrybird unfortunately just got outplayed today. What's hilarious to me is the fact that majority of pros don't have a problem with modern. Just random gold players who keep getting thrashed because they cant input a super to save their life 🤣

y people act like tachikawa is a bad player, bro played manon to the top of japan ladder, the most tryhard ladder out there and on classic. good fundamentals transfers regardless the control type.. i think people saying he won because modern is just disrespectful towards tachikawa as a player for me lmao and modern is NOT better than classic, you lose certain buttons and to some characters it's bad.

Especially where the meta seems to be going. Defensive offense is perfect for characters using modern. U dont need your full movelist for defensive neutral
I mean, what could you hate about the game focusing super hard on betting in the wakeup, and then creating a mode that allows you to 1F super inputs to deffend when you want to bet in the wakeup. Its solid reasoning and a great way to make a game, super competitive and fair.

You know you sound like a dum scrub. If modern controls had auto combos or not missing any normal buttons then I would say is unfair. But when you play modern you lose important buttons and tools. I play classic akuma master and jp in modern master. I wish I didn't learn jp in modern because I can't do many combos that are needed because I'm missing many normal buttons.

For real. They need to put a 2 or 3 frame delay on supers with modern controls. It would be way better than the damage nerf they do now. Scrubs who can't do motion inputs get free reacts because they don't have to do an input just press one button.
