    Very well put together collection of shots. I was glad to see many shots here that I've never seen before, but from the time I clicked on this video I had hoped you placed the "magician shot" at number one...and you didn't fail to impress. From the moment he made that shot, everyone realized that in order to be the best in the future...they would have to find new ways to make their A-games even stronger. Efren Reyes sparked an evolution in pool that brought about so many of the unbelievable players we have the pleasure to watch today.

    Another thing amazing about that last shot is Earl Strickland had a well deserved reputation back then as a sore loser and would fly off the handle about every little thing.
    But even he respected and applauded that shot.
    He later in became one Efren Reyes greatest supporters.

    Efrén Reyes no jugaba con saltos porque el era un veterano que decía que las bandas son parte de la magia del billar 🎱, el empezó jugando carambola algo que no muchos saben, ya que es en otras modalidades dónde llegó a ser tan popular pero sin duda se nota que le gusta la carambola por el increíble control que tiene de los rebotes Efrén muchas veces tuvo tiros faciles para ganar y aún así decidía hacer un tiro de lujo para dar un espectáculo, Efrén siempre será uno de los mejores de la historia seguro alguien más estará en ese lugar algún día pero es difícil alcanzar ese puesto

    • @mickmars112_6
      @mickmars112_6 7 месяцев назад +3

      Yo creo que el taco de salto nos convierte en peroes jugadores. Como bien dices, las bandas son una parte esencial del juego. Están ahí para aprovecharlas a tu favor, y en eso sin duda, el Sr. Reyes lo hace como nadie. Es que casi todos sus mejores tiros son con bandas incluidas y se debe a ese dominio que ha desarrollado jugando a carambolas desde bien pequeño.
      Deberíamos aprender a jugar a billar emepezando por conocer el sistema de diamantes ya que todo son matemáticas, ángulos...y luego aprender a meter bolas ya que colocar la blanca resultaría muy fácil. Me remito a Efren nuevamente. Sus colocaciones son increibles usando casi siempre las bandas de un modo super preciso.
      Efren es al billar lo que Pelé al futbol. Será muy difícil superarlos y mira que hay jugadores espectaculares hoy en día, pero Efren tiene algo único que lo hace especial y creo que es la escuela que tuvo de pequeño, ese billar a tres bandas.
      Y pasarán los años y no habrá nadie capaz de superarlo. Para ello deberían tener todo un arsenal de recursos tan amplios y originales como los de Reyes. Deberían tener un control de la fuerza super exquisito, cuando Efren tira siempre me da la impresión que la bola blanca gira y se mueve de un modo diferente al del resto de jugadores. Es único en su modo de golpear la bola blanca.
      Tuve la oportunidad de verle jugar en Los Ángeles hace ya muchos años. Una sala de casi 50 mesas. Ahí se pasaba gran parte del día jugando y entrenando. No existía Internet con lo cual no sabía cómo era de apariencia. Cuando le conocí no me creía que fuera él. Un tipo super humilde y sencillo y algo descuidado de aspecto. Todos querían jugar contra él, con dinero de por medio claro. Apostaban los jugadores entre sí (200$ o más) y el público. Efren cobraba un porcentaje de las apuestas del público si o si, tanto si ganaba como si perdía. Cobraba de su rival. jugaba a bola nueve pero el Además, en la modalidad bola 9, ganaba con meter la 8. Eran sus normas y todos querían jugar contra él.
      En la TV se aprecia su clase pero en vivo es una barbaridad verlo jugar. Lo hace sencillo, fluido y atractivo.
      Eso fue lo que más me impresionó, verlo jugar en su día a día. Habría cientos de vídeos de sus pedazo jugadas. Un fuera de serie.

    Agreed , he showed us all mr Reyes how to make a cue ball in a 3rd demeanor to play a ball,
    From the point shot to the first ever the zig zag shot , again making the pool or billiards scratch there heads,

    La nueve de Jimmy White es una locura. Qué pedazo de tiro. Lo mejor es que es totalmente intencionado.
    Lo auténtico de estos super tiros es que son en directo, es decir, no están grabando hasta que sale y luego lo editan. Todo son tiros reales y con toda la intención por parte de quien lo ejecuta. Además, las colocaciones de bola blanca (como el de Jason Shaw con la 10) son magníficas. Se suman, la grandísima dificultad de meter la bola y el juego posicional de la bola blanca. Y todo es perfecto. Es realmente increíble y apasionante de ver. Guauu!!!!

    Great selection. Thank you so much!
    Circumstances concerning one's career and the particular situation within the match and the tournament is of a great importance adding to the difficulty of a trick-shot. Considering Europe vs USA long lasting pool drama and the brilliance of Jimmie White's phenomenal 9-ball combination shot, I'm curious about the comments silence here.
    100% positive about the "Magician" being ranked as number one. Probably some American folks still didn't know at that time Earl was playing against the best player ever and still wondered why the match was prized so high $$$s.
    The 8-ball game included at least 3 trick-shots. ;)

    Everyone has one great shot they remember. Playing in Santa Clara 8-ball bar pool championship round, team was down 8-4 in race to 10; snookered by other team's captain at end of table with one ball left, playing ball in hand with called shots. took cue ball off side rail, down to bottom rail, came off and hit object ball, which was at perhaps middle rack distance, kicked it off an opponent's ball and it sunk it in opposite corner at that end. Got lucky; had an easy shot on the 8. Our team came back, tied it up at 10-10, and went 3-0 in OT for the win. I could shoot that shot 1,000 times, and probably never make it again (the bar got fired up after that!).

    This isn't a 0.0001% chance, its called "playing the angles"; if on a clear table with no friction you strick a ball in a straight line at any angle there is a 100% chance it will find a pocket (there is a maximum number of times it will need to go around the table though i cant recall what it was but i remember it was less than ten). The only lucky thing about the shot on the thumbnail is he didn't hit another ball on the way round, the player probably could see/work this out. The probability is probably around 12.5-14.3% if it was a fluke, and probably over 75% if the player could see the path was clear and the natural angle.

      Yes this was a perfect combination of shots but... In my opinion Efren did something absolutely epic. There are some important reasons. Electric battle with electric opponent. Special moment in match to play that shot (decider). The drama of this situation. And this shot especialy wins the title for him. I don't remember shot in pool history which was executed in these dramiatic conditions. But of course Melling's shots was incredible too :)

      Of course, Melling's shot was beautiful but let's think about what moment of the match and did it affect the final result in any way? In my opinion, Efren's shot is above all else. He did it firstly in the deciding game, secondly it was the shot that won him the match, and thirdly he did it against his greatest opponent in history. The pressure, the scale of the difficulty of the shot and the seriousness of that situation and the fact that Efren didn't have this ball to play full contact make him the first place. Melling could do anything with the #1 ball. He had it to play full contact and could hit it anywhere.

  • @nisonpapern2446

    What kind of game is it? You can bet on any ball. You can hit any ball. Confused?

    • @MrCueBall
      @MrCueBall  3 месяца назад

      9-ball in most cases. You don't need to nominate where and what ball you will play but you always need to hit the ball with lowest number🙏

    Chris Melling's game was the best game i ever saw and his last shot was in my opinion better then Reyes's Z-Shot. Not only did he miss all balls on the table but had also perfect position on black. Sorry not sorry 😀

      Thank you for the comment. This was really difficult to put only 25 shots because we have many more great shots in history of pool. Btw this is my first compilation so I hope the next ones will be better :)
