If you check out live performences from the music shows you'll see that Kasper, Bada Lee and some other renowned choreographers who don't really perform as backup dancers anymore there (from what I gatherd) and the forein dancers are Kany, Ashley Everett (Beyonce's dance captain) and other dancers from Beyonce's crew and apparently also Japanese top tier dancers, he gatherd like a dance Avengers squad for "Horizon" and it definitely shows
As soon as the instrumental started I practically ascended. I am obsessed with synth wave and idc that ppl think it’s was overdone in kpop, I’ll never get tired of it and it’s basically so perfect for taemins style and voice
Taemin's really into quantum mechanics at the moment, and the Eternal album references quantum concepts a lot. Horizon and Deja Vu probably reference these concepts the most. A physicist fan on twitter broke down the Horizon video, likening Taemin to an electron becoming energized to break out of the confines of the orbit of the atom its in. It parallels Taemin's own journey to break out of boxes (hence the glass box in the video, many of the words written on the walls are negative ones), and the limits of his previous company, the industry, and the public's demands of him. He craves (and consumes) the light of freedom, ultimately leaving the ornate enclosed room he begins the video in to dance in the daylight of the outdoors in front of an obelisk symbolizing immortality and eternity, ending the video with only a vast horizon behind him. The glass sphere could also very well symbolize Taemin himself, as in physics a glass sphere acts as a lens that focuses light shone on it into a single focal point. Taemin worked with Kasper and Kany Diabate to bring aboard an all-star team of dancers from the international music scene, and I believe that this is also Taemin's way of expanding his "horizons" as well, and maybe flexing just a little 🤭
I am very interested in Taemin's thoughts behind bringing in very physically idealized and statuesque dancers for this video; very clearly Foreigners. To be perfectly honest, I didn't pay much attention to the dancers at first as I registered them as a swirling energy centered around Taemin, who captured my eyes unrelentingly from beginning to end. Now, after the billionth view, it strikes me yet again just how magnetic Taemin's aura is that he absolutely commands the attention in the midst of such excellence. It is also a tremendous flex that he can pull such well known and excellent professional dancers and choreographers to frame him. I am simply in awe...
Good observation about his commanding presence. The contrast of physicality was intended. Brilliant move, Taemin. Regardless, Horizon didn't meet basic Billboard-ready natural English requirement. Another Taemin gold failed by K-pop's number one bottleneck: lyrics.
I like that he went with more of a performance video with this song vs an mv. I feel like the collective energy of Taemin and the amazing, legendary dancers really elevates the song and goes really well with how hard this song goes. 10/10 No notes 🤘🏽😁🤘🏽
Horizon is the second title track for the album ☺️ Taemin was very involved in this album and co-composed every song and co-wrote two of the songs. He had Beyoncé’s backup dancer + her dance caption as his dancers for this MV and music shows, alongside other world renowned dancers (Ashley Everett, Kany, Kasper, etc). Everything about this album is EPIC ❤️🔥 He did say this was his last commercialized album, so I’m really curious to see what he does next.
Honestly, i wasn't sold on this song the first time i heard it. But when i heard it with this music video, seeing Taemins performance made me listen more closely & now i love it. Taemin is unique - you can see clearly that each project isn't simply A song. A music video. A dance. A costume. No, he's thought of EVERYTHING & this means it feels complete & enthralling & gorgeous. Taemin is clever. A true artist in every sense, just really special. Thanks for your reaction, i always enjoy hearing your thoughts.
Taemin did a great job, he showed once again who is the King of Kpop. Everything is perfect on this album, the songs, their order, the arrangement, the choreography, the performance. A masterpiece...❤️❤️❤️
Having international dark-skinned dancers who can be said to have an advantage in their anatomy compared to the Korean figure, Taemin still attracts attention to himself He thought EVERYTHING very well, combining scenes to create an almost religious experience
It's a struggle between Deja Vu and Say Less for me, but no arguing that Taemin opening his Ephemeral Gaze concert with Deja Vu was absolutely stunning. If this man steps foot anywhere on North American soil for his world tour, I will move heaven and earth to be there!! Yes, I'm being dramatic, but also 100% serious.
some of the dancers are from mj and beyonce's crew. all of them are top notch, and he doesn't afraid of comparison. this mv is also far from the quality he fed us, but it is much better than sexy in the air. there are a lot of interesting things. a lot of details to speculate on. food for us conspiracy shawols. the choreography is just insane. reminds me of Fame somehow
The aura of Taemin is so strong that it took me 3 views to actually see two huge shirtless dudes dancing like right upfront 😅 Taemin started his rebelion back in Criminal and in Horizon it looks like he finally set trully free ❤ at this point words like majestic, magnetic, perfect, top-notch are redundand, just say it's king Taemin and it says it all !!
The fact that they waited for the sunrise to do that dance segment with the sun rising behind them... you know what timing that takes, sunset and sunrise literally can be gone in seconds.
To be honest, when it comes to music videos- I waz just a tad bit disappointed with Sexy In The Air. (as a film student and a big Taemin fan) especially comparing it to the masterpiece that is Guilty. I love the song, and of courss Taemin's dancing and stage presence could carry any kind of production- but I'm also a huge fan of Taemin's acting and showmanship. The lack of story in the Sexy In The Air MV made it feel more like a performance video, which isnt a bad thing, but if I wanted the performance video I'd just watch that. But I also understand this is under a new label, but they are perfectly cable with adding story elements as seen in Bad Villain's debut. So I was a little confused. But after watching Horizon, I think I get it. Although I wildly prefer Horizon's MV, the orange hues reused all over the MV make it distinct in my mind-it also doesn't have even the bones of story. There's a lot of cool pretty visuals, but it seems they're "cool just to look cool". The dancers look fantastic, and we get to see a TON of the choreography, and since Taemin is an absolutely phenomenal dancer- you obviously won't get bored or look away. But, again, it really feels like a performance video. Not all of Taemin's MVs need to be as story based as Guilty or Press your number, but MVs like Idea, Advice, Want, Move, Criminal, and Danger all at least have the outline of a concise story. Although I love Taemin's work and every single project he's put out- and I will be honest I liked Horizon even more after watching the MV-the set pieces and locations somerimes felt very random with no through line or transition. Which might be on purpose to put a clear focus only on the performance- but personally it does make me feel like I want a little more. But I might just be over thinking it lol.

Shawols!!!! Taemin's official channel www.youtube.com/@taemin_bpm is back AFTER ONE MONTH OF BLACKOUT!! Please support with traffic thank you!!!
Taemin has got to be the best soloist in kpop imo there’s just nobody who does it like him
As soon as the instrumental started I practically ascended. I am obsessed with synth wave and idc that ppl think it’s was overdone in kpop, I’ll never get tired of it and it’s basically so perfect for taemins style and voice
I also love Key's synthwave songs too, as well his House in Pleasure Shop! If Minho and Onew do it as well...

I haven't enough adjectives to describe Taemin. His talent is unmatched and knows no bounds. Thanks for the reaction, best way to start the weekend!

Taemin only creates art *CHEF'S KISS*
The dancers in this MV are actually Beyoncé and Madonna's dancers, including Beyoncé's dance captain and her choreographer...

Taemin the artist that you are
Glad to be this early for a taemin reaction
Having international dark-skinned dancers who can be said to have an advantage in their anatomy compared to the Korean figure, Taemin still attracts attention to himself
He thought EVERYTHING very well, combining scenes to create an almost religious experience
what?
I want to inject taemin’s horizon in one arm and key’s bad love in the other arm. I need more shinee x synth wave.
wow deja vu really is the fan favorite
Taemin💯❤️🔥
Thanks for sharing your thought in how amazing THE Lee Taemin is❤
After horizon Deja vu is absolutely the best on the album
It's a struggle between Deja Vu and Say Less for me, but no arguing that Taemin opening his Ephemeral Gaze concert with Deja Vu was absolutely stunning. Love the song! Thank you for the reaction ❤
I love this song and the MV. The whole thing proves again Taemin is the best K-pop soloist.
Taemin the art

Horizon isn't a b-side, this is a double title album and Horizon is that 2nd title...

Taemin é simplesmente fantástico. 💖🇧🇷
The majestic King Taemin 👑 💯 💎 🔥
Same my favorite bside in the album is deja vu too 😅

Unbelievable
