      Compare it to the Macan. In this video we've a Macan S with a 3.0 V6 with 350HP
      The Macan Turbo has a 2.9 V6 just like the Stelvio Q, but with 450HP.

    a wrong video comparison for many reasons:
    2.0 liters vs. 3.0 liters
    280 hp vs 400 hp
    Did you want to do a race or take a test in the snow? because it is not understood
    You complained that Alfa did not detach the traction control, why?
    If I'm on the snow I need all the help systems!! or not?

    • @per6605
      @per6605 4 года назад +1

      NO!!!
      If you are on snow, you need to be able to disengage the traction control.
      Otherwise, the TC will throttle the engine, the wheels will not spin and move loose snow away, and the car that won't move out of its way. You're stuck.
      Trust me, it is no fun at all being stuck in the middle of nowhere when it's -15°, because some idiot car manufacturer decided that the TC should not be allowed to disengage "for safety reasons". What safety? How is it possibly "safe" to have a car that refuses to move?

  • @owobis
    @owobis 6 лет назад +5

    In February 16, 2012 Porsche announced the final name for the car to be Macan, an Indonesian word for tiger. However, the pronunciation of the "C" in Macan, is like "ch" as in "Choice" or "Chips"; Not like "k" as in "Cool" or "Come". Because if the C is pronounced like K, "Makan", then the meaning in Indonesian language becomes "To eat". Totally different meaning.
    Just FYI.

      Brian Johnson it’s not like there was a race! If it had a bigger engine it would not change anything. Just another suv like all the others.

    There is a hidden procedure for disabling all traction controls in the Stelvio. The QV 510 HP version has the Race Mode that disables the controls quite completely. In the other versions you have to do a trick disconnecting the battery.
    Well... in a comparative test with both cars with totally disabled controls, you could see with your eyes what a perfect 50/50 weight balancing, a patented suspension design and the Giorgio platform can do...

    It has 3 settings on the dial DNA D= Dynamic drive this will give you the speed and pick up you need. I have the Sport model when in D you will get more sporty handling and less traction control...in the N= normal driving you still get a great deal of pep and more control and torque, in A = all weather you get lots of torque, pull, and control for wet roads, snow, and hauling. You need to know your cars before you do a test drive video. I have a friend who had a Macan V6 and he couldn't keep up with me in all 3 tries. We've had one since 2019 and I can't recommend it highly enough. Beautiful to look at, inside and out, and amazing performance for an SUV. I'm sure that the QV version is a hoot, but you don't need that in the real world. The Q4 version is very quick. Also, dependability has been excellent after ditching the well-known problematic OEM battery. They've probably eliminated that issue by now anyway. It's also a great value compared to other European choices.

      In this comparison it would've made a difference, because if he got that Stelvio, he could then have all the driving assistance turned off. So, the fun he was craving and found on the Macan, he could have had it on the Stelvio as well. The only advantage on the Macan is that on the Stelvio, the torque vectoring is not possible to switch off, so the system would still be providing traction to every wheel as needed. But that doesn't stop the ability to drift.

      If instead of the 2.0 Macan, they've decided to bring the Macan S with a 3.0 engine for this test, why didn't they took the same approach with the Stelvio?
      Because if they did, they could've switch off the ESP and have the same kind of fun on the Stelvio.
      This is all about the fun of sliding in the snow, not about the ability to do it.
      I know the base Stelvio is very competent off road, there are videos showing it on the internet, but unfortunately it doesn't allow the ESP to be turned off, so no fun.

      If you disable it, you also lose the ability to lock the rear differential which is something nice to have for drifting.

    and next time compared something balanced and not this, here in Europe the Stelvio 280hp(56k€) 0-100KMhor 0-60mph 5,7s or porche gts 360hp (81K€) 0-100 kmh or 0-60 mph 5,2s ... with the Stelvio quadrifoglio version you can deactivate the traction control and get more fun for sure...but all who prefers a name go for porche and be happy knowing that owns a brand and who owns and Stelvio will be happy everytime riding this car and smiling when pass aside on the road one of these supposed supercars....

    GTS was over twice the price & not twice the car. Not even close. Base Mecan is dull. And what’s with 40 buttons FFS?
    Objectively & practically (it’s an SUV), the Stelvio is the better vehicle. Period.
