I bought some zinc picolinate but its way too high I think 100 mg. Tried one at night with dinner and woke with a woody like when I was 19. It makes my sweat smell like metal when I take too much. Usually take 22 mgs a day.

This was incredible. There's so much good information here. I'm driving on a trip right now and I listen to this video twice. Later I'm going to listen again when I'm not driving I'm going to take notes and implement these into a daily routine. If you look at the implications of people actually doing these things on a huge scale we’ll be solving the health crisis, ditching big pharma and changing the way we farm. I'd go as far to say that we'd even fix our socioeconomic and sociopolitical structures if our bodies were healthy as a collective. Too many nutrient deficiencies and the accompanying health problems cause keeps us in fight or flight mode, and we are busy blaming each other for everything instead of working together.

I have spent years trying to help myself feel better, and I once had cabinets full of supplements and herbal remedies. I've tried everything imaginable to sleep better and feel like myself again. I started using a pinch of salt in the morning over 10 years ago. Only a pinch with a glass of water. Now I use salt some days, baking soda others. The baking soda also has sodium but helps balance your body’s Ph.

If you try to do 30 right off the bat, it will feel like something is wrong. You won’t want to do it again. So try this guy’s technique. Even doing a rotation of 3 sets of 5, you’ll feel like oxygen is blasting through your arms and legs….it’s awesome.

I did my first sprint at 35. I had Asama until I went to an OMD. Md. killed me. I supplemented basics first. I did Yoga, Pranayama, and MA. I did and took everything the Dr. told me to.

We need to be doing more nasal breathing to increase carbon dioxide. Mouth taping helps when you're sleeping. Add trying to breath through your nose when you're working out. There are ways to increase your carbon dioxide levels by doing exhaling then holding your breath to see how many steps you can take until you need to breathe comfortably again
I was already typing that after reading your first sentence, then you said it. After the hold, nasal breath again. Don't go as long as you have to use your mouth. Nasal only. Keep working it. I bought a pulse ox meter, check that and chase getting it a bit low. some say not less than %70. but less than %80 is pretty safe over and over. It's like altitude training.
About collagen and ammino acids, it was recently shown that peptides (pieces of collagen) are in parts digest whole by the body and directly contribute to collagen in the body, adding to the collagen produced from essential ammino-acids.

Yes Brecka is just wrong about this, he is unfortunately often slightly off about biology, in other podcasts he talks about methylation when the pathway is really carboxilation for example. There are amino acids that are more common in collagen, chiefly glycine. While not essential the body is efficient and will readily use an amino acid if it’s available instead of synthesizing it. Considering how much of the body is collagen it makes sense to get more of those amino acids directly, it might even bring down your overall protein requirements.

Interesting ideas about cold water and cold plunge benefits to add that you can sprint swim or long distance swim so this doesn’t have to be running that on concrete can shock joints. Breathing in the water is a good respiration exercise which will expand your lung capacity and lengthen your lung size. The other aspect of breath control can also be gained through playing musical wind instruments and breathing from your diaphragm. So there are other ways in life style that can be worked into how you use breath.
My wife and I have owned 3 different dogs over the last 25 years. I have really noticed and been thinking about my lack of sleep as a result. This one interview has been the best source of information I've heard for a good while, and explains loose ends I'd learned over time but not joined the dots. As a 43y/o fella I'm going to immediately adjust my routine to include these points, and correct what I thought I was doing right and see how I get on! Great guest, great interview, great channel, and genuinely thank you.

It's not that it's more important than wealth, it actually is wealth. Money just does whatever it can do for you and whoever you know in that sort of way, but that's literally it. What is the highest paid fraud , and not only that there will be another new highest paid fraud a week from then. But there's only one character you're born as. Reputation is incredibly underrated. Ostracization of someone that is justified or shame put on them might as well be them losing a form of identity wealth. The problem is when we're talking about it, it sounds like a metaphor

In the heat my veins on arms get huge.
I bought some zinc picolinate but its way too high I think 100 mg. Tried one at night with dinner and woke with a woody like when I was 19. It makes my sweat smell like metal when I take too much. Usually take 22 mgs a day.
@@garyssimo If the only side effect was that you had a woody in the morning (which is a pretty decent sign of higher testosterone) and that your sweat smelled like metal, then I would personally keep taking that amount.

This was incredible. There's so much good information here. I'm driving on a trip right now and I listen to this video twice. Later I'm going to listen again when I'm not driving I'm going to take notes and implement these into a daily routine. Did u know filtered water is DEAD water? Why don't u try SPRING water, it's full of life, fresh, collected from where it's born, in the mountains, rich in minerals. And, salt, also has to be mineral rich, not a normal refined salt which is stripped off its minerals. Besides the Baja Gold he mentions another good one is by Redmond Real Salt.

One of the best discussions of its kind I’ve heard in a while. Outstanding guest and great interviewer. However, it was comical when he said he’s “an average guy who owns a few businesses”. The average guy works for someone who owns a business.
What’s great is that there is such ground swell in the world coming to the conclusion that being active, eating, well and sleeping are the keys. If you look at the implications of people actually doing these things on a huge scale we’ll be solving the health crisis, ditching big pharma and changing the way we farm. We take back the farm and loose the sickness industry.
I'd go as far to say that we'd even fix our socioeconomic and sociopolitical structures if our bodies were healthy as a collective. Too many nutrient deficiencies and the accompanying health problems cause keeps us in fight or flight mode, and we are busy blaming each other for everything instead of working together.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this talk and giving us such valuable tools for our health toolboxes. I have spent years trying to help myself feel better, and I once had cabinets full of supplements and herbal remedies. I've tried everything imaginable to sleep better and feel like myself again. I desperately want to feel strong in my body again. I've had genetic testing and know I have B vitamin, and vitamin D pathway mutations. I have aluminum toxicity, too. Negotiable sex hormones and a slow thyroid. I'm currently not able to seek medical care. Knowing how to address my issues with food, activity, and a few basic supplements is extremely helpful. So great to hear you talk about things that I’ve never talked about to anyone and I’m 76. First time I’ve heard someone talk about fear from childhood, (has created a driving force all my life). Always seeing the possibility of what can go wrong. (drove my 5 children nuts). Over analytical, unable to turn off the brain, terribly anxious just walking into a room of people i know well so no cause. I’m now giving thought to a Genetic Methilation Test. I’m in Australia so can’t see you of course.

I started using a pinch of salt in the morning over 10 years ago. Only a pinch with a glass of water. Now I use salt some days, baking soda others. The baking soda also has sodium but helps balance your body’s Ph.
I did Wim Hof breath like 5 years ago. Tried it today again first breath 2.05 second 2.25 third 3.05. Hopefully i continue this routine
I did it for a short while. I felt like I was damaging my esophagus. Maybe I was trying too hard.🤷🏻♀️I loved how it felt before I started having the negative effect.

@@tanyawieczorek6603 I think the advice in the video is best. Start with 5 and work up. The interviewer tried the Hof technique which is 30 breaths. As he said, he almost passed out.
If you try to do 30 right off the bat, it will feel like something is wrong. You won’t want to do it again. So try this guy’s technique. Even doing a rotation of 3 sets of 5, you’ll feel like oxygen is blasting through your arms and legs….it’s awesome.

We did our gene test this morning and I may have just shared this on fb and x for the 2nd time.
The only time I notice my blood pressure rising is under some type of emotional distress. Breathing exercizes bring it back under control.

I did my first sprint at 35. I had Asama until I went to an OMD. Md. killed me. I supplemented basics first. I did Yoga, Pranayama, and MA. I did and took everything the Dr. told me to.
I might be an exception, but I do on occasion wake up laughing. I also talk in my sleep, though👀.

We need to be doing more nasal breathing to increase carbon dioxide. Mouth taping helps when you're sleeping. Add trying to breath through your nose when you're working out. There are ways to increase your carbon dioxide levels by doing exhaling then holding your breath to see how many steps you can take until you need to breathe comfortably again
I was already typing that after reading your first sentence, then you said it. After the hold, nasal breath again. Don't go as long as you have to use your mouth. Nasal only. Keep working it. I bought a pulse ox meter, check that and chase getting it a bit low. some say not less than %70. but less than %80 is pretty safe over and over. It's like altitude training.
@benjamindo8142 CO2 needs to build up to then release more NOx. CO2 is the signal molecule.

About collagen and ammino acids, it was recently shown that peptides (pieces of collagen) are in parts digest whole by the body and directly contribute to collagen in the body, adding to the collagen produced from essential ammino-acids.

Yes Brecka is just wrong about this, he is unfortunately often slightly off about biology, in other podcasts he talks about methylation when the pathway is really carboxilation for example. There are amino acids that are more common in collagen, chiefly glycine. While not essential the body is efficient and will readily use an amino acid if it’s available instead of synthesizing it. Considering how much of the body is collagen it makes sense to get more of those amino acids directly, it might even bring down your overall protein requirements.

Interesting ideas about cold water and cold plunge benefits to add that you can sprint swim or long distance swim so this doesn’t have to be running that on concrete can shock joints. Breathing in the water is a good respiration exercise which will expand your lung capacity and lengthen your lung size. The other aspect of breath control can also be gained through playing musical wind instruments and breathing from your diaphragm. So there are other ways in life style that can be worked into how you use breath.
Include singing in that list. And other heavy breathing activities.
absolutely no proof on cold water shocking is good for you and that myth has been debunked by many sports doctors/researchers.
My wife and I have owned 3 different dogs over the last 25 years. I have really noticed and been thinking about my lack of sleep as a result. They have all woken me up in the middle of the night to go pee. We only got the current dog because my wife cried morning, noon and night when the second one passed away. I wish I would have just let her cry it out. I feel exhausted all the time. 😕😕
