- Panathinaikos Athens suffered their worst loss ever against the main rival Olympiacos Piraeus. The final score (73-101) in EuroLeague's Round 30 marked the biggest defeat in the history of Greek derbies. Not only that, PAO managed to give up 38 points in the first quarter, which the Greens' coach Dimitris Priftis described as "shameful".

This was an "empty" arena due to covid restrictions even , that's the crazy part :P
The funniest thing of all, this is a very old and inhospitable arena..2k Oly fans count as much as 30k pao fans in a modern arena like OAKA.
It's easy to say now. But even before the season I knew Oly is back. Bartzokas bought fitting players and had good core to glue the team. Sloukas Printezis Papanikolou even Vezenkov. I hope they win this year.
Its not Panathinaikos worst defeat. They also lost 73-38 once with 35 points difference, but yeah its the biggest score. Nice vid my friend. My condolence to Pana fans.

Panathinaikos still being in the Euroleague is a disgrace. If this league is meant to be the top of Europe, that team simply does not belong in here
You're talking about sports, there is no such thing as "disgrace". Now, PAO, without tons of money is nothing as we can all see very clearly since 2012. So, obviously they don't deserve to continue in Euroleague. Hopefully, Virtus Bologna, Partizan, even Valencia and Badalona deserve their place in the league.
Thank you my friend! There shouldn't be any wildcard positions. The last teams in the table should be relegated for the winners of eurocup to promote. Why should Valencia or Monaco go back to eurocup and not teams that invest nothing to the competition?
No matter how bad the Celtics are, they are still the Celtics. There is only 2 teams with more Euroleague titles than Panathinaikos in the league's history. A team with such history isn't being relegated

The bitter truth is that the score somehow reflects the actual difference between these 2 teams ,for the current year,up until now .Most of the times, there is an x factor between them that equalizes any actual level/class difference, but yesterday that factor was absent.I apllaud the fact that OLY players didn't push hard to break any records that we (the fans) had in mind .
Neither of the teams should stay on this game. OLY has to keep up the effort to achieve the goals of the current season and PAO myst focus on the next one. Apart from the domestic title,they must concentrate mainly to the future, starting from now ,as OLY has done for the last 2 years in order to build the team we are enjoying today and ofcourse, regardless what will happen at the end of the current competitions.
There was a part in the game that the decibels went to god and it was shown on the jumbotron

Λεπτομέρεια δεν λέω αλλά όταν ο Μπατίστ πήγαινε περίπατο και νόμιζε ότι κάνει σκριν ε τότε κάτι δεν παει καλά. Όταν όλα αυτά τα παρακολουθείς και πανηγυρίζεις σαν τρελός ε τότε κάτι δεν πάει καλά.
Το αποτέλεσμα το ζεις εδώ και 10 χρόνια που πέρασες στην ανυποληψία και τις ψεύτικες υποσχέσεις.

In football all the team controlled the referees in some periods. before kokkalis was melissanidis and before him vardinoigannis who controlled the referees. In basket only pao did this. 25 years of fake trophies with help of referees. one player of panionios left disabled because he got crazy of referees calls. When we had the elections for the new president the only team who support 84 years old ex president was panathinaikos.Sick situation for 25 years and the Greek basketball is free again to grow and to be better and better.

Greek basketball back then was at the best level. we didnt have vasilakopoylos and corruption back the then we had another president and the greek basketball was the best in Europe. The best team won in the court. and back then Ioannidis team was the best team of all years in the greek basketball. Remember back then that in final fours against Pao in tel aviv and saragosa Olympiakos also won pao.In football before kokkalis we had for a lot of years vardinogiannis who cotrolled EPO and the referees. In 2010 we had Pateras in Pao.From 2017 we have melissanidis and savvidis.The point is that in football a lot of different teams controlled the referees during the years but in basketball only one team panathinaikos for 25 years in a row with an ex-palyer and supporter of them team as president. it couldn't be more clear

The biggest successes of Greek National Team took place between 2000-2010 and we had great teams and a competitive championship also (Panionios, Maroussi, AEK until 2005, Peristeri, PAOK and Aris). No, in 1993, 1994 and 1995, your team was very favored by greek referees anyone who lived through those years knows. In 1994, before you say anything, you stole the title of Greek league from PAOK. In Tel Aviv you were a better team than Panathinaikos (and Badalona too, but you lost in the final), in Zaragoza you were lucky enough to face Panathinaikos without Galis and Giannakis while in the fourth quarter Johnson scored four big three-pointers. In football, only you have established a 21-year-old empire (19/21 championships) with the help of the referees and federation. Nobody else.
