Bachelor Pad! A perfect location to make preparations to get wasted and embarrass Dandelion and the Duchess. Come to think of it, that would have been an epic moment in the game: crash some artsy fartsy party with a drunk dwarf, making crude comments. Maybe have a quest as Zoltan where the mission objective is to streak through Beauclair while evading capture; get him atypically black-out drunk on one of Regis' secret recipes.

I like Triss a lot more than Yen, but Yen's romance seems to have a more definitive ending and feels a bit more canon.
Lightbringer That’s why I’ll never be able to properly decide between them. I nearly always choose triss cause she’s the kind of girl I’d go for, but Yen’s romance endings is so much better. Making toussiant your permanent home is a lot better than using it as a vacation home, meanwhile you’re living in a cold place.
I keep choosing Yen. Triss is nice and consistent with the prior games, but I really like Yen’s assertiveness and confidence. Triss seems a bit too “flirty” for my taste. I’ve always felt Ciri was better off becoming the future Empress as compared to being a Witcher (rare opportunity to make a huge impact on the world).
I just wish the Geralt alone ending had a variation if you finish the main story with 100K+ gold. Seems silly to portray him living hand to mouth when he can drop that much on renovations and armor sets without blinking an eye.

I liked it. Henry Cavill and Freya Allen are great as Geralt and Ciri.
I imagine this ending like Mass Effect 3: Citadel DLC. All of Geralt's friends join, possibly old friends too, they would all drink wine get drunk, and in the end maybe get a portrait painted by a painter, or by the same painter who painted Geralt, hang it up and they all go their separate ways except maybe your romance companion staying with you.

@@muhamadariefrahmanhakim9166 anniversary video was like a little letter for old friend. Citadel DLC was pretty much goodbye letter from devs to story. They put memes from 3 games (I should go), they put all characters, they put romantic moments (Tali's song and Jack's tatoo and training battle cut scenes was epic). Really the best DLC of all games. You can feel devs gave their best to make this DLC.

The conversation with Triss is lacking compared to Yennefer’s.
When you think "yey he can have a peacefull life now" but then you remember vesemir was 415 and looked barely older than him now
I honestly prefer the Yennefer ending. Not that this one is bad by any means, but Triss constantly mentioning Kovir just comes off as a little manipulative to me, not that Geralt seems to mind. Plus, I just think Geralt's final dialogue with Yennefer is more dynamic and better brings out their chemistry. Triss' dialogue, while sweet, is just a bit too bland and stiff for my taste.

Huh, I didn't know that it was supposed to be this many years after the main story. Makes sense though, all things considered. Still, that doesn't really change my opinion of why Triss' dialogue isn't as good as Yennefer's.
Well you have to romance Triss post all patches and not just watch youtube videos with her scenes. Only then her romance will be more fluid and will make more sense. Dunno maybe I am biased, because I romanced Triss in TW1 and TW2 as well. I also read books so I knew her well. This last dialogue is just perfect. Writers did a perfect job making those lines and voice actors did a great job too. imo.

Did triss end, and yen and i must say... the best ending is the Ciri ending. That happens when you romance both Yen and Triss, the niciest one for me and my first ending :)

The thing is, with the Triss ending, Yennifer is still out there, with all of her Trauma, and all of her feelings, and all of the hurt that she endured, and the one person who finally made her feel what she wanted most, having rejected her. Triss may very well have loved Geralt, but the tragedy of her life is far less clear, and she is young, gorgeous, far less traumatized, and has ambitions and desires still that she wants to pursue, where-as Yen has gone down the road of ambition, and finally just wants to stop and be happy.
Anyone who has dated a woman with the need to control, but a deep desire for romance and love knows the external harshness and 'bitchiness' so many people attribute to Yennifer is a thin facade of the compassion they have. They are far far less dominatrixes with a desire to control, and more just people who have been hurt so much it's hard to let go of control. The ending with Yeniffer does leave Triss momentarily alone romantically, but not in terms of her life, ambitions, and all the qualities that will still one day lead her to happiness. She generally also just has a more optimistic and happy outlook.
Those who say Geralt seems happier with Triss than Yen don't seem to see that he almost covertly enjoys the fight, the banter, the argueing, the playfulness, and the spirit of the relationship with Yen. It's been apparent in his nature both in the books, and in countless lines in all three games put together. The relationship with Triss almost forces the characterization of Geralt to HAVE to become something else, other then portrayed up until that point, precisely because it's slightly less natural.
While nothing about the Witcher saga demands happy endings and less tragedy, there is far more pain and tragedy in leaving Yeniffer alone after all they've been through then in doing the same to Triss. And while she certainly wouldn't want Geralt's love purely out of pity, I think struggle, understanding peoples pain, inner demons, and trials and tribulations can make one fall deeper in love with them in a way the transcends pity, into a longing to fulfill one another. Triss and Geralt don't feel like they "complete one another," Yennifer and Geralty definitely do feel complete and whole as a couple.

That kind of women never happy. I just dont believe in her happy ending. Some months later of her bitching at little things Geralt will run out of patience and leave her.
Their books versions broke up several times. Why this time must be different. And without Jin's magic they will part their ways forever. Her quest with wish pretty emotional and I can see how Geralt can stay with her but I dont believe he stay with her for years.
Triss on another hand is very good for old warrior with many scars. I really believe in Geralt-Triss relationship. Even if Triss in politics, Yen trained Geralt pretty well and he can make big compromises, like with home and work in Kovir BUT Triss quite cowardly and timid. Game showed that (when Geralt and Ciri gone to kill bad guys Geralt back to fuming Triss. "Where are you gone? What if something happened with you?". Strict word and kiss from Gerald and she's become quiet. Yeah, she can having a plans but she listen Gerald's opinion.) So if Geralt said something they move from Kovir pretty fast. Listen each other and working to make each other happy. Isn't that a definition for healthy relationships that can last for a very long time?
(Triss is manipulitive in some degree too but lets be honest. What woman is not?)
(only flaw of her romance is a line from Geralt. Something like "But it turned out my amnesia'd changed nothing. Wanted to be with you before, during, after - always". I didnt read the books. know about events from books but this "before" looks stupid. But cheesy. So why not? What girl dont like a cheesy line).

Have been a Yen-fan for the longest time but kinda prefer Triss now. The ending in kovir with Geralt doing contracts purely out of habit sounds a lot more like something geralt would actually do than settling down with yen and basically not doing anything anymore and becoming a hermit
Thats exactly what he wanted in the ending of the books, to retire from witchering and settle down with Yennefer and Ciri.
In my mind Geralt was done he beat the best of the best saved the world and helped Ciri to her destiny. his time has come.

The books are great, however I don't get this playing according the books mentality........ This is a is a RPG. You are Geralt. Play his part the way you please. Using the books to make your case for Yen is ridiculous, choosing to mimic the books is your choice... So if you're going to debate team Yen vs Team Triss ..stick to the game play. Its fun to debate but the book reasoning is not applicable, unless there is some unwritten law stating you must follow the book story line....

Elven lore says give it someone you love and it will not wilt. Geralt gave the rose yo Triss in Floatsam and time passed the rose did not wilt when Geralt and Triss met again in Novigrad.

I instantly fell in love with Triss.
Triss chooses Kovir and a job that she says is boring as fuck, over Geralt. Dream girl my ass. She is selfish. Yen is a much better choice. She is willing to go anywhere in the world to be with Geralt. She doesn't make him move to Kovir to be with her. She doesn't show up at his doorstep when he is on a job, telling him to get back to Kovir. Maybe Geralt doesn't want to go to Kovir and be around all of those pompous ass mages that he dislikes. Yen puts up a tough exterior and doesn't wear her heart on her sleeves but at moments she lets her guard down and you can see that she really loves Geralt and Ciri. Triss basically tells Geralt, Kovir or GTFO

Only just completed Witcher 3 and must say the story line kept me interested from beginning to end. This is where a lot of RPG games fall flat. A good story will keep you playing to the final scene when others will lose your interest halfway through.

It would have cost practically nothing to have the voice actor say, "says her name is..." three times. I think it's more about the dramatic reveal...announcing her would have reduced the suspense, even if you know what's going to happen anyway.

I'm not trying to turn this into another Yen vs Triss debate (I'm #TeamYen but I like Triss too) but I don't like the idea of leaving Toussaint for Kovir. I think it's time Geralt retires and gets away from politics, which is why I think Toussaint is the best place for him, not just for a vocation, but as for a permanent home. That's one of the reasons why I liked the ending with Yen more. Because she wants to retire and get away from politics as well, just like Geralt. I think the ending with Yen feels more sincere. Like I said, I'm not trying to turn this into another Yennefer vs Triss debate. Since I like both of them (even tho I'm Team Yen). I'm just saying Geralt staying in Toussaint and getting away from politics fits Geralt's character more and I think it's better for him this way. That's one of the reasons why I like the ending with Yen more. But that's just me though.
Koviri politics is not the same as other places. They are neutral and trade focused. Being a kept man in fantasy Switzerland is hardly a hardship. They can go to Touissant whenever they want, even though Geralt hates portals.
I don't know that he strictly wanted to be away from politics as much as he wanted to be away from the free-for-all Machiavellian politics that had him branded a kingslayer and sent on a wild goose chase. I like Triss better but I also enjoy Yen, I think the Triss ending can work because in her ending Geralt continues being a part time Witcher, while still remaining with Triss. I think that's fairly ideallic for him, as much as living on a vineyard.

You boys haven't been with someone loke Yen that's why keep saying she is better. Trust me you want someone like Triss, sure she is a little bland and not as exotic and crazy like Yen but Triss is the kind you want for a long term relationship unless you want headaches and a lot of disagreements. Yen is just like my ex in personality and even looks but mine was the asian version of her. The headaches, the fights, the constant disagreements. Geralt has done too much and is too legendary to end up with such a headache he deserves an easy going gal like Triss plus Triss' body is magnificent.

I would find myself agreeing to Yen even more then Geralt at times, I always got along better with people who are more willing to do things their own way, and never managed to get along with people overly nice and sweet. The thing is, if I were to ever settle down with having one person in my life, she's not gonna be my pet, or just simple agreeing to me, I would want someone who walk their own path next to me, disagreement is a part of it, if it happens, then you just gotta either agree, or let it go, each to their own, be an adult and let them do their thing, you got your things to do too.

I am very much Team Triss. I read all the books, played both romances, and prefer Triss.
That's just my taste thought.
I know Yennefer is a better match for Geralt, and the ending with Yen feels way more satisfying for a 'true ending' than the one with Triss.
But on the other hand, the ending with Triss gives more comfort on the long run. You feel as if Geralt doesn't simply retire, but also does some travels, isn't constantly stuck with Triss as she still has an occupation, and Geralt can always return here when he needs a bit of himself time.
With Yen, I'm sure they'd end up fighting and not seeing eachother for years on end. But that's just my opinion, based on how it was in books also.
This is my Impression also. I felt that the Djinns magic played a key role on them being together, knowing your fate is bound to someone else's while the spell lasts, you are going to want to keep tabs on them, I think their attraction is purely physical and that's further backed up by the constant break up and make up business.
Depending on how I play my characters out, personality wise, I do like strong willed women, such as Ashley and Miranda from Mass Effect, Morrigan on Dragon Age, also Yennefer on Witcher. But loving caring softer women such as Liara on Mass Effect, Leliana on Dragon Age and Triss from Witcher are more my thing. Mostly cause am an old fashioned romantic. So I don't really have a side based on Witcher. Both Yen and Triss compliment him

Tbh Yen's ending fits a lot better than Triss's. The ending to Blood and Wine fits perfectly with the description of how Geralt and Yen settle down together. With Triss, the ending to Blood and Wine has to be explained around in order for the conclusion to their relationship to make any sense. It's almost like Geralt is being forced to leave the vineyard he worked so hard on for it to be a "vacation home" just so that he can go to Kovir with Triss to follow her around while she meddles in politics. It doesn't flow with the story very well.
Problem I have with Yen ending is that geralt puts away his swords. I can't see this badass getting retired so young. Even Vesimir never retired. With Triss ending you can remain active witcher and you can even see Triss patching him up in the epilogue.
I was introduced to the witcher by witcher 1 game so I think it's only fitting that he ends with triss.
Geralt was with Yen in the books and he died. Time to start a new life and cdpr even gave us a chance to remove the Jin's spell and triss does say the she saw pleasant surprises in their future.

Though I really like this ending I think it is a shame that the base game had already established that they move away to Kovir together.
It would have felt more satisfying if Triss arrives and she Geralt decides to settle down in Corvo Bianco (like in Yen's ending).
