It's an argument nearly as old as time itself - is compressed air ACTUALLY better for paintball? And if so, WHY?!
Keegan and Media Guy Doug are here to tell you that compressed air is in fact better - but more importantly they want to tell you why it's better.
Sit back and hear the discussion, and when you've made up your mind, use the link below to grab either your new compressed air tank or CO2 tank from Punishers Paintball!

Have you guys rocked out a video on aluminum vs carbon fiber tank yet: air efficiency, capacity, weight difference geared for a newer/beginner player. Maybe what some break points are, and when higher end markers work better with different regs on the tanks 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for keeping the community alive and going!

Watched a buddy blowout his brand new ion (loooong time ago) putting CO2 tank on it. He was sad, I laughed like a good friend.

Great information for new players or returning players. I remember playing Paintball in early 2000s and having 4 prefilled 20oz CO2 tanks for my tippmann pro carbine and dragun tes. While it worked fine, I learned you could not shoot fast and make sure the weather was warm or there would be problems, but back then there was no cheap compresses air tanks they where all expensive and out of budget for high school rec ball players. When I got back into the sport 5 years ago, it was nice to see cheap compressed air tanks and also noticed 98% of all markers require compressed air now. The only marker, that I still use co2 is my tippmann tipx pistol with those co2 cartridges. Also like you mentioned, every field I play at anymore , no longer has co2 , it's all compressed air.

You're right. I played my first game about 8 years ago but I had to drop the hobby. Went back yesterday and I was surprised when they told me no CO2 was used. I remember people saying CO2 wasn't the best thing for your equipment, but you could still use it. You just had to keep your gun clean. Had to buy a HPA tank but the air is free so I guess it all works out

@@HalfbreedTrini yeah compressed air in the long run is better on your equipment. The field I play at locally , stopped caring c02 , two years ago the owner did not nsbe enough co2 only players. Welcome back to the sport

Does all paintball markers use both CO2 and compressor so when you go to buy a marker that comes with a tank when they say CO2 does that just mean the tank or the gun too that's what you need to take and do a video on to separate that all guns use both and that it's better to use compressed air then CO2 thank you

@@PunishersPaintball Because all I use are 12g CO2 cartridges; too lazy to bother with a tank & the impending hydrostatic tests! 😁
