I'm a conservative, my support has been faltering recently. It's folks like Bob that reassure me that the conservative party hasn't gone completely mental.

@Largesse1000 I'm not particularly conservative as a person either socially or politically but I agree with that. Globalist neo liberals are the problem and both parties are neck deep in that pond.
Nigel's "Talking Pints" programme is brilliant, great people to be interviewed, and I must say I don't mind the odd swear word. I hope Bob is promoted to the front benches soon, he's a great asset.
Colonel Bob very accurately sums up the main skill required for politicians: “I’ve always been good at bullshitting!”.
Johnson isn't even good at that, he just happened to say a lot of things that Brexitards liked.,
@@HueyLewisRocks Not necessarily, he was the lesser of the evils available. The way things are I'm not even sure it is Boris, most of them seem to be controlled from elsewhere. Washington is just a joke, there appears to be a complete agency in the various trappings of Pantomime, the originals having been carted off. I'm thinking of donning my woolly cap with rosette of red white and blue, grabbing my knitting and flagon of Gin for a Gallow's side seat. They can all return to Hollywood now for the Summer break, I don't think they will be required again.

Nigel has become a very professional and highly entertaining presenter, who has a very engaging distinctive style when talking to guests. He refreshingly allows his guests to express their views and thoughts without interruption. This tolerant and calm style of interviewing is sadly lacking in many TV and radio studios because of noisy and rude presenters who constantly interrupt their guests, who are always looking for that ‘gotcha’ moment! Nigel’s weekday show has become ‘essential viewing’ in my household.
He should invite some scientific or medical folk on too.
I live in the "north". I'm not so sure that feelings toward Boris are as they were. My Son was in Afghanistan twice, Guarded Buck' Palace and lost a close friend. He was rewarded with redundancy on his return. The behaviour of MPs over Brexit and now over Covid speaks volumes to the North

I have voted conservative all my life bar one EU election voting for Brexit Party when may was failing.
After vaccine passports and lockdowns crushing personal liberty in the UK I would rather have labour.
At least they are honest about being a bunch of communists.

Nigel needs to be added to the Guinness book of records - he surely is the only person on TV/YT who legitimately has a pub and drinks pints while interviewing someone 🤣🤣🤣 I love it- I want a job like his.
He is not the first to do interview over a drink, but he certainly is the worst. As dumb as his guests, which is not surprising!
He also gives his interviewees a chance to answer his questions. This is so rare on TV. Mostly, it's smug, obnoxious presenters interrupting and trying to show how clever they are.

My Brother was in the Cheshire Regiment and Col Bob was there in charge , there was some terrible things happened to people out there , Bob was highly regarded by his men , Great Respect to him and all the people who served out there .
We had 19 Armoured Regiments when I joined in 1973, now I think there are only 8. My Regiment is gone after 250 years service.
We had more troops in NI at the start of my career than there are in what's left of the Army today.

That Bob... I remember him doing the right thing in difficult circumstances.
I am a huge supporter of our armed forces, as are ALL of my Scottish family.
I don’t understand why the same support is not given in our parliament.
It provides jobs to our children, it provides a lifestyle and strong morals for those recruits.
I and everyone I know supports far greater spending on our military at large. Then once enough funding for the military, I would expect our army to reach 100K as quickly as possible.
Lifestyle! Killing people is a Lifestyle now, yes let's increase the army and then we can kill more innocent people.

Very refreshing. Loved it.
I was so prepared to like and support the colonel. His service record and DSO speak for themselves. I fully understand that as an MP he is bound to show loyalty to his 'leader' but his confidence and faith in Johnson I feel is somewhat misplaced. Very difficult indeed.
My thoughts go down a similar path

Everytime I hear Colonel Stewart speak I'm reminded of the main reason the UK Armed Forces are in the state they are in.
Our upper echelons are made up of spineless wordsmiths that will talk the talk but never deliver because they put their own career progression ahead of doing the right thing.

Farage's show is the best and the most informative news gig in the UK. I no longer listen to the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, certain presenters on LBC, etc, who provide us with a one sided anti working class news agenda. It's a pity that the mainstream woke bias tv media would not give Farage a slot as he would easily gain a massive army of fans.. suppose this is dangerous for the BBC and others who are frightened of the truth from Farage and what it will do for his political career.

Bob Stewart is complaining about the British Army not being what it used to be. As a Conservative MP, whose job does he think it is to conserve it? Voting Conservative doesn't seem to be conserving anything.
If you want to get really depressed about the relationship of Conservative and conserving anything at all then read Peter Hitchens’ “The Abolition of Britain” or “The Cameron Delusion”.
