@Simon C Right wing or left wing. All will have to become men or die in such a world. The right wing men are generally mentally and physically stronger and cope better with freedom and the wilderness. Left wing men need very big government to look after them and tell them what to do, so not sure how they would cope at all. Perhaps it might remove all their mental health problems though as they will have more immediate things to worry about like hunting, gathering and protecting their purple haired womenfolk.

To be fair to Nigel, he gets people on that he doesn't agree with and lets them present their point of view. I however find Hallam credible, he's was a farmer and clearly not a Marxist, he wants to keep an economy but we have to stop using fossil fuels as quickly as possible. His argument isn't helped by celebs like Emma Thompson flying first class from LA to join an Extinction Rebellion protest in London as happened in 2019. Paradoxically the climate change crisis is far more serious than Covid and the science predicts will displace and probably kill far more people worldwide (though not in the UK), yet governments were prepared to make radical change in the face of the covid threat, but not climate change. In the medium term the UK is at most risk from flooding events but it will certainly increase the numbers of people trying to get her illegally- something like Nigel I am very concerned about. Mass migration events also have the potential to destabalise regions and increase the risk of nuclear conflict.

Inter-glacial periods such as this one generally last 10,000 to 20,000 years. Most of the time in the last million years most of Britain is trapped under ice.. There are lots of animals facing extinction because of the fake-green Industrial Revolution 2, and the Liberal, goody-goody progressive modernism that over-develops the entire planet, enabling billions more humans to survive = industrial nature-rape, in their Internazi Neo World Order.

Do you not understand that if the West castrates itself that China and developing countries will carry on kicking out ever more pollution and carbon emissions? And then once the West becomes minor players in the world, because we won't have any economic or military clout, that they will have a free hand to do whatever they want? Do you think they listen to a very vocal minority of green extremists? Of course they don't. That is a luxury of spoiled idiot western liberals, real governments want to reduce pollution but not if in doing so it destroys the country. This is all about balance and we won't sort it out by making ourselves third world countries when other countries will carry on producing ever more pollution.

@@Klinsmann1985 Their argument is to stop you and I from having access to cheap reliable plentiful energy from fossil fuels on the premise that climate model projections indicate global warming due to CO2 emissions.
Meanwhile, the basis physics of Radiation Transfer indicate that greenhouse gases currently decrease direct thermal radiation to space by 342 Wm-2 which raises average global temperature from -18C to 15C. If you double the amount of CO2, a minor greenhouse gas, from 400 ppm to 800 ppm, a process that will take two centuries, there is a further decrease of thermal radiation to space of about 3Wm-2 and increasing temperature by 0.3C.
Most people of technical common sense, which XR clearly are not, would understand that 3Wm-2 is too small to have any effect on climate.

XR aren't trying to deny access to it, they're trying to get governments and everybody else to act with the urgency that all the major reports indicate we should be.
I must admit however that you've upped the ante with your science mumbo jumbo, and I have no riposte. When I googled WM-2 the first hit was Wrestlemania, which I'd be more than capable of discussing at length.

Essentially the UK government is not only executing the genocide of the severely disabled blind in the UK,but its also paying for terrorists to wage war in syria and afganistan. This guy has only one card to play ridgid enforcement of total population in the UK to force down emmissions to the figure of 62 million set by the UN. The Glasgow conference can be most effective by legally capping population in every country in the world to stop out of control emissions he claims.

The members of Extinction Rebellion would be the first to scream, if they were actually made to endure such austere conditions.
