- Video from one Wednesday evenings in Nalchik in Kabarda, where you may see how we Circassians(Adyghians) dance our national dances! This dance called Wudj. In Europe it's known as Circassian Circle and by this "circle" we give start to all the other Adyghian(Circassian) dances.
thanks for posting this lovely piece. would like to be there.
Тошка,ты супер.Ам...,ба уэ ц1ыкум
the man with the stick orchestrates the wedding. He selects the dancers, maintains its order etc. In circassian he's called djeguake
orda yasamak var..i love this tham fghapso !
müthiş vorapısov adige thanks..
Thawapsow Adyges
I guess one can only speculate but resemblances are undeniable.
Cok güzellllllllllllllllllll
Very advanced dance LOL
It is a very interesting video. I am interested who the man with the stick is and what it symbolizes?
this is the man in charge of this show, if I may say so :) he says the name of the song, he can choose which man to dance now, and so on. it is noteworthy that he cannot choose the girl who will dance. the girl is chosen by another girl as the main one among them for the evening. stick means something like that he is in charge and to attract attention
Thank you! Is there any proof of the link between the English dance "circassian circle" and the wudj? Scientists here would argue there is no link that can be scientifically proven...
