MacMillan/Bloedell up in BC, Canada had Six Custom built, tandem steer Freightliner COE's built at the factory with V16's (Detroits) and HD Allison Transmissions for hauling "sticks" (logs) on "trains" (3 & 4 trailers), from the mountains to their pulp and paper mills, back in the mid/late 1970's. Gross weights were in the 450K+ range.

If it's naturally aspirated with N60 injectors and governed at 2100 rpm, then it will be 560hp and ~1700ftlb. An 8V71 to the same spec is 280hp and 850ftlb. A lot of people call every 8V71 a 318hp but most weren't because they weren't set for 2300rpm and they didn't all have N75 injectors

    • @andrewking4885

@@frontagulus Sorry Sir but an 8V71 with n60 injectors is 290hp and and a 318 is N65 injectors which was their most common rating. 75 mm injectors are for the 8V71Ts
