I so admire my black brother sisters and their faith. From the original ones who came across the planes to the members in my congregation. Who put God and their testimony of this being the restored gospel first. They are my heroes! I love and admire them!
This talk made me cry God loves us all equally He tested the African peoples faith to spread the gospel in the last days more than ever before He will make it up to them after we have been tested blessings follow
I served in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), which was part of the South Africa Johannesburg mission. I met a young man named Alexander who was the leader of a congregation of hundreds of unbaptized saints. He lived in a small village in the bush and was visiting Umtali for reasons I can't remember. Alexander told us he found a Book of Mormon in the trash at a Christian Science Church where he was employed as a janitor. The book had no cover. Alexander read the book, prayed and received a powerful witness of its truth. I hope he and his congregation have since been baptized. I asked Alexander how much money he made as pastor of his congregation. He replied "Oh no, I do not take money. That would be very bad.
