So this past thanksgiving I was pondering whether or not to go, but my mom convinced me it would be great to see my brothers and sister-in-law’s. I agreed and when I got there, she instantly made a comment saying, “when we get done eating we’ll all look like Quinn.” My mom and I were absolutely shocked. We didn’t say anything, but it’s safe to say I won’t be returning to her home anymore. There’s my family tea for this thanksgiving. 💀
Similar but not the same: my grandma growing up would constantly compare mine and my sisters bodies. And more than that she'd always say I was smaller than I was and my sister was bigger than she was. Always insisting on buying us clothes that didn't fit for school and for Christmas. And on Thanksgiving serving us portions according to her views of us. This year neither of us went to her Thanksgiving. I wasn't even invited. 🤷♀️ She posted on my brother's girlfriends Facebook about how ,she wished she saw me and my sister more and she doesn't underatand why she's not allowed to see her grandkids ( my son). Like mam'm??

I just want to praise y’all for having these podcasts for me to ease my mind with when I need it the most. My Thanksgiving didn’t go as planned and long story short, I had to turn around and leave my destination almost immediately and drive three and a half hours back home on Interstate 40 east. However, playing sesh episodes all the way kept me company and helped me get home with much less tears. Thank you.

Is it actually weird to make Christmas lists as adults ? My family has always done that. Made it way easier to shop for eachother.. even if you didn't get exactly what was on the lists, you had ideas of their current needs/interests. I would struggle with gift ideas without lists.
My family too! If I’m gonna spend my hard earned money on you I atleast want to make sure I’m getting things you want and will use rather than random stuff you won’t even use. I love my mom to death but she always goes really overboard and has bought me so many things that were expensive that I didn’t like or want and it makes me feel terrible so I have to give her a list.
Pro tip from my dad: Just use Hot glue to assemble the gingerbread structure, it's so much easier. I know it probably sounds weird, but it's a total game changer. Most people don't usually eat the gingerbread after anyway because it's stale and dusty lol. Decorating is the fun part, really. So now we actually just build graham cracker mansions and use the ~$10 to $25 per traditional sets to get a huge variety of candies and pretzel sticks to decorate with; and it is always super fun to decorate and eat candy all day 😂❤

Kendall- my little one is exactly one month older than Holly and the growth between month 4-5 is crazy! In one month she started rolling like crazy, grabbing everything I hand her, holding her own bottle for close to a minute at a time, playing with toys, and REALLY took interest in the dogs! She absolutely loves our beagle. She pets her and talks to her.. it’s adorable 😍 you have a lot to look forward to!
We don't have any majorrr traditions besides a sleepover on Christmas Eve with our kids & grandkids here and waking up at same time and opening gifts by the tree. However when we lived in hometown, we would all go to the movies on Christmas Eve and watch the latest movie that came out for Christmas time. One year though, some fool decided to flatten the tires in the theater parking lot of every red vehicle. Which included my stepfather red truck and our car, too. Fun! Merry Christmas! 🎄
