Finally a channel that I WANT to watch from start to finish! Thanks for the inspiration! Very clean and simple, and of course stylish- just what I like on my own trucks
Thanks for the support. I haven’t tackled much of the weather stripping stuff. I usually replace door seals with the push on kind but that’s easy compared to the doors and windows.
Great video Travis. I just installed the Boss amp along with the JBL GTO 6.5 in kick panels and 6x9 in cab corners. Truthfully, was disappointed with the sound quality so I did some research and found a couple guys installed a powered under seat sub. Have you done that yet? I just installed a Cerwin Vega 10” powered sub connecting it to the Boss amp line out. I cannot tell you how much of a difference it makes. Love it and highly recommend adding one if you haven’t yet. It makes a huge difference and sounds so much better.
I did add the boss 10 inch sub under the seat. I thought the quality before was pretty good but sound is so subjective. The bass really added another dimension to it.
way more work than necessary. I have a 72 C10 all original and I wanted nothing obviously modern anywhere near my dash. I bought a stereo wireless speaker system designed for golf carts with magnets. Snap one speaker on both sides on my cab and boom. Plenty of output and controlled by my phone. $65
Thanks for checking if it connects automatically when you turn the truck on. I've been trying to find a unit that will do that because it may get annoying to go into my settings and connect every time I get in my car
Thanks! I didn’t want to run all the wires under the carpet. And I wanted an easy place to be able to press the pair button if I needed access. Under the seat is a good idea though if you want to run longer wires for everything and then mount the controller somewhere.
Is it actually loud with your exhaust system??? I’m currently running glass packs and am worried about sound. I think I’m going to velcro the wired controller just under the drivers side of the bench seat, for easy access in such a situation. Oh after listening again you can add an amp, JIC.
It’s very loud over my exhaust because the cab has the sound deadener in it. The blue tooth player is a 500w amp by itself and then you can add an external amp for subs or other speakers as well.
Awesome video. I recently bought 1965 c10. Front right headlight is not working. Is a replacement bulb used or do I need entire lamp that needs replacement. If you can please advise
Typically you would replace the whole lamp. Some lights are called “sealed lights” that are the whole assembly. I would just take your headlight out and see what you have going on. You’ll be able to see if it’s separated or one piece.
I have this same one and Im trying to do a cooler with speakers but Ive connected all cables to the speakers and have the battery but It will not turn on.Any advice? I see the ground wire and the yellow wire that goes to the 12v battery, what Im missing😮💨
I just installed this in my truck. How the heck do you get it connected to the Boss audio app? Bluetooth connects and plays music off my phone, but it'd be nice to use the Boss app and the equilizer. It's all treble right now. Doesn't sound the greatest. My little Bose soundlink bluetooth speaker sounds way better. lol
@@SIMPLE.C10 thanks for the quick response. I guess I will have to look into spotify to get that equilizer option. I have a 10" sub to hook up this afternoon, so that might just make the difference too.
@@SIMPLE.C10 I usually just listen to a local radio rock station, or downloaded songs on my phone. I got Spotify today, I think it's going to be pretty good, get exposure to new bands. Also the 10" sub made all the difference. It's been 20 years since I had a good stereo. My last one was six 12'" subs in a 2 door Chevy sprint in High School. lol, it was a little louder than this one. 146.3db
Lookin at a square body that has no radio at all, don’t know if the wirings there, could I just run accessory power to this then speakers and it be fine?
Just landed on this video. I’m getting ready for my audio upgrade on my old f150 single cab. This set up looks promising. But the question came to mind. Could you add a powered sub to this set up. Those 8-10 inch subs with their own amps like the kicker and JL, or is there a bigger amp to power a bigger subwoofer that I haven’t heard of. Also I’m not too far into researching I’m sorry if it’s a dumb question

Awesome man! Thanks for the feedback.
Just installed my Boss. Sounds great. Thanks for the video !!
Awesome
I was actually looking for something like this and this video helped out a lot! Also 100/10 sound effects at 25:23 🔥
HahHahah😂
congrats on the first 1k
Thanks!
Great solution to a modern problem. Thanks
Thanks!
Perfect as usual Travis!!!! Thanks Brother!
Thanks
Pretty cool. Great solution for a similar problem I’m having. I’ll definitely be looking into this.
Thanks. It sounds awesome too!
Awesome video this answers my question what to run in my short bed !
Sweet!!
Gonna do A consoleless 3rd gen firebird. This got me thinking now.
Awesome!
Nice vid! Would be cool to see the best way to re do weather stripping. Doors windows etc!

@@Donnybrook10 very cool. Do what works for you. I really enjoyed this sound system.
Man wish i would of seen this before i started messing with my double din situation

That was important to me too!
yeah, now this is what i'm talking about. Thank you!
Thank you for the support.
great video !! hoping to install one on my bmw rt, does it work with remote disconnected?? thx
Awesome vid as always, going to have to get this, thanks!!!
Awesome. Please use the link in the description by clicking the title of the video. Thanks!
Great video. Why did you not just setup under the seats? I just installed the Vintage Air myself.

about to put one in my F100. I assume it sounds great right
Yea sounds good
Awesome!! I think this may be the system for me.
Sweet!
Great video. What front speakers are you using? I see your link to the 6x9's but curious about the fronts if you can please share.
JBLs like the 6x9s

Yessir. Basically what I did.
Looks great. Can you plug an eq into that boss amp ?
I’m not positive about that. Good questions though.
Best place for control unit would be near or on top of the dash, the box anywhere else.
If you’re only using your phone then it can all be hidden. It’s great. Connects quickly and use the phone for volume, song, and equalizer.
Did you run the 12v battery wire straight to the battery or did you connect it to an 8 or 10 gauge wire?
The factory radio 12v to the fuse box.
Where you get that glove box? I need to replace my cardboard
That one comes with the vintage air setup. It’s smaller to allow the air unit. You can get a replacement cardboard from LMC.
Another 🔥🔥🔥video !
Thanks

Yes you can add another sub or get the JL Bluetooth controller that hooks into an amp and powers multiple speakers
Sorry for the dumb question but, It doesn't need a radio to wire to?
No it doesn’t need a radio. It hooks up the same way a radio does and runs off of Bluetooth or aux cord.
so a SIRIUS Xm app on phone would be streamable to this thing?
Yea. Any sound that comes through your phone will work through Bluetooth.
Hello, what speakers watts and ohms I can use, please...?
Not sure on that. This was a long time ago.
What gauge speaker wire did you use? I bought the same speakers and BOSS.
I believe on the video I mention it. I think it was 16 gauge.
I use my daughters bazooka tube from Best Buy and connect to Spotify done deal.no wires and you can take it in and out .👍👍👍
That works!
that is cool ... old lookin' new style radio's will set you back 500-800$ ... that is a very good sollution.
For sure! A very affordable option. You could leave your old radio in there for looks as well.
How much bass does it have and can you adjust that?
If you play music through Spotify, Spotify has different options to adjust bass but the Bluetooth radio does not.
@@SIMPLE.C10 ok so id need to wire an external amp/ sub box. thanks
Does this have an app to adjust eq??
No but I use Spotify equalizer to make it sound great. You can’t adjust left right front back though.
Will it run to a second amp?
I believe so
Will this system over power 4 3.5” boss speakers? They are 140watts per pair.
It will sound good!
How would I play my manson cassettes?
It’s only for the beautiful people but I’m sure you can find an answer in your sweet dreams. Haha.
How’s it working 1 year later?
Works great
How do you EQ this amp? Everything done on phone?
Awesome thank you for sharing👍
Absolutely. Thanks for the support.
Mine stopped working in about a year in my 73
What do you think happened to it?
@SIMPLE.C10 no idea power going in but won't power on at all. Bought a cheap Jenson with bluetooth and hid it under the dash
