It helps to put tape around surface you’re cutting so jigsaw doesn’t mark up surface of boat. Just create a barrier between boat and jigsaw vibrations. Great vid👍

No kidding though, rarely do I come across a video for exactly the same application Im working on so, again, thanks for the vid. It saved me hours.
The "ignition" wire is supposed to be hooked up to a switched power source, meaning that wire should not have power when the boat is not in use. I'm glad to hear you found the video helpful!

I hear a loud pop in my speakers when i fire up the boat. Only way to not hear it is by turning off head unit before i turn the key and thats annoying. I have dual (bridged) battery set up. Is it the ground issue or the way batteries are set up causing current loop when starting up ?
I’m not exactly sure... not a genius with battery chemistry, but I would say just turn it off before starting to be safe, or run your batteries separately

Well... no. You're not going to have zero distortion with any and every sound system out there. It will also depend on your boat's layout. At cruising speed I can still hear my speakers pretty well. At full speed... not so much.
Hey have you ever found a way to adjust the treble or bass is there a app or way to tweak these. My speakers sound way too crunchy even at low volume and I can’t figure how to adjust it.
I have those speakers. They are tough but sound horrible but what do you expect for $20. Good value if your speakers are going to get trashed by salt anyway.

Good question... We have drained and killed be battery before, but you learn not to quickly 😅 We have a fairly high capacity (I want to say 120Ah) battery and it can usually keep up if running the boat somewhat periodically

Agree with JD. On mine I hooked up a toggle switch on the power cord with a fuse in between to cut the power when not in use and prevent battery drain

I would exercise extreme caution cutting holes and drilling holes for cheap components that won't last for years to come...

That would be pretty sick... the stock speakers do provide a lot of base because the boat acts as a subwoofer enclosure. Thanks for watching!

Also, tape the bottom of your jig saw (auto-scroll). It will prevent marring and scuffing the gelcoat

You'll need to adjust the equalizer within your music streaming app-- I know Spotify has this.

I just have a single average size boat battery and it does fine. Bigger is almost always better with batteries though

Anybody getting static interference. Works fine while the engine is off. Crank the engine and is all jumbled? HELP!

Try resistor spark plugs.

How do you adjust the bass treble etc? Awesome vid man, ironically i have the exact same boat lol.
I don't think it has those adjustments, but most music apps allow you to tune the music (such as spotify).
Skip to .25 to get to the meat... Unless you like BMWs, Lights and flashy sounds.
