I've been trying to turn my mom on to Tool. She loves wine so I encouraged her to buy a couple of bottles from Maynard's winery and we drank them listening to the Fear Inoculum album. Great wines btw. We got the high end bottles. Now, I bought Tool concert tickets for us in Dallas 1/31/22. She is the dean of a major university, PhD in literature, and is now a Maynard fan! It took a lot of tries but she spiraled out.

"This to shall pass" is a very important mantra in Narcotics Anonymous Maynard got clean about the time apc and puscifer came on the scene a good deal of these songs have to do with his battle with addiction and his relationship with drugs and his recovery as well

Mate, I love Maynard's voice on this album. Unfortunately for the most part he dropped the deep baritone and went back to his "regular" range for the rest of the Puscifer albums. They're all good though. For some more great deep vocal stuff you have to check out the song Queen B.
Their last album, Existential Reckoning, is fantastic. A lot more synthy. Check out Bread and Circus or Bullet Train to Iowa.

Caduceus Cellars is Maynard's winery in Jerome AZ (an old mile high mining town that spills down the side of Cleopatra Hill). The grapes come from his Merkin vineyards in the Cornville and Page Springs area of the Verde River valley below. All of these locales are just west of Sedona. In addition, Maynard is co-owner of Stronghold Vinyards in Kansas Settlement in the Sulpher Springs Valley southeast of Tucson.
For the uninitiated, a merkin is a pubic wig. The term dates back to at least 1450.

Hey, for a future react video, I'd love for you to have a listen to this band called Cardiacs. I'd recommend you listen to Dirty Boy, R.E.S., Big Ship or Tarred and Feathered, for a taste of their wild chord progressions and melodies, that on paper don't make sense, but it all works out in the end.
Dirty Boy is a more traditional rock anthem-style song, extremely epic, but let's just say it is most certainly not in one key (which basically goes for all their music).
R.E.S. is a quirky, carnival music sounding piece with a complex instrumental break in the middle.
Big Ship has a kind of melancholic feel, but a great and epic closing.
Tarred and Feathered is like a goddamn fever dream, very fast-paced and chaotic.
If I had to pick one of these songs for you to do a video on, I'd say Dirty Boy has the widest appeal, it's very cardiac-y, and just an amazing song. Or just do all these songs in an extended video.

I highly encourage everyone to visit the Verde Vally & experience Arizona & all things Maynard.
Maynard is one of the most respected wine growers in Arizona (and beyond) and none of the people out here threw him any bones for being a famous musician.
But his hard work & resiliency won everyone over & now he & his wife & beloved from one end of the state to the other.
Keep in mind, when he moved here the locals thought he was some city slicker rock star from LA but he treated everyone with respect, he worked his ass off & he’s contributed greatly to making the Valley a wonderful place.
Hell, he could run for mayor now & win in a landslide & none of it has anything to do with his music.
And he did it all on his own terms & has kept his integrity intact from the beginning.
And when Puscifer plays Prescott it’s a must do pilgrimage for us locals.
Jump in the car, get a room at one of the local spots. We usually stay at the Hassayampa Inn, which is walking distance to the show. Then hit one of the historic l watering holes on our way back to the room, then the next day head to Cottonwood for Chef Smiths world famous Gbocchi & Merkin in Cottonwood.
Then a quick drive up the mountain to the Puscifer store in Jerome & wine at his tasting room next door.
It’s one beautiful celebration of art, family & a beautiful example of the American dream.
If that doesn’t inspire a person then nothing would.

He sings Warszawo Walcz! (Warsaw Fight). But in a nuance of language. Warsaw is in the Vocative case, so he’s giving Warsaw a personality, an almost Human Identity. Think the spirit of the city, it’s very soul rises to take their freedom back from the Nazis.

Watching you guys and listen to your comments I really wish that you had done the live version on the EP because you can clearly hear what he's saying and you understand way better it's almost like that's the better the version of the song. This was on their first LP which does not have very many entertaining songs I have it on vinyl and CD and it's still good but without a doubt the money shot, conditions of my parole and especially existential Reckoning! All of the ep's they released like Donkey Punch the night away and the letter C which is the EP that has the better version of mama said which is done live and also "Potions" is on it. Plus there's some good the songs on the ep's as well including cover songs. I love TOOL, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer all bands are in my top 5 favorite bands! I think the first album from Puscifer was Maynard experimenting with different kinds of music. Just my opinion and it is better on the ep's but that's just my opinion I hope Doug that you hearing this song drives you too hear EP version
