Nice bro, but try to keep your nose more into wind and keep your positive airspeed,. I notice you spend alot of time in the shaded area with high powersetting. You can basically fly with the nose in the same direction as the boat until youre a few meters off the deck, then gently make a ”turn around the tail” onto the markings 😊👍 Aim further infront of the bow and Look out the side instead of the bubble the whole way down 👍👍 Stay safe and never underestimate the difficulty of landing on those boats! ✌️
@@AerialAttraction yeah good stuff bro! Doing it that way significantly reduces your powersetting hence workload 😊👍 Not really any correct way of doing it, but as it says on the t-shirts - ”airspeed is life” 😉😉
Excellent tutorial bud, there wasn’t much in this way of learning when I went out years ago. Would you do a video on what the boat does when it sets for new comers, like what is a skiff and what does it do. What is the triangle or the end of the net, and where might need guys see wires possibly in and around the boat during a set. Like when the skiff is pulling the boat out and away from the net. Any time someone asks me about going out I give them a list of good videos to watch, your on that list. Keep the good content coming brother!
@@whiteskyflyer Nice to hear from you. I'm in Spain, working in FireFighting with Bell 412, for sure you are doing a bunch of hours more than me, a lucky year here is around 120h, pay is 1/3 of what you doing there but I'm at home with wife and family, I'm happy here, the company is very nice.
Hey I’m looking into getting my helicopter flight training done with leading edge. I was wondering how you went from student to instructor, do they typically hire their cfi students, or did you get lucky with a job opening up?
Those would be some great questions for the staff at leading edge. I was not a student there, I was one of their outside hires. They rarely hire pilots that didn't train there, I think I was their first outside hire in the last 5 or 6 years.
@@AerialAttraction I'm curious, what do you do meanwhile you don't fly? Help out on the boat or just roam around and poke people? :) Great videos that motivates me for my CPL.
I'm curious what your thought process is there? While i've never worn divers shoes, im assuming they are just a neoprene fabric stretched over a flexible rubber sole. I cant imagine they'd provide much protection in the case of a hard impact.
@@AerialAttraction I don’t know I just think there should be some safety shoes on instead of a day at the beach just in case you gotta hit the water otherwise the Hilo pilots that were on my aircraft carrier should’ve been in sun shorts and flip-flops and stuff like that I’m just looking out for safety that’s all that’s my thought process I’m not being stupid or trolling
Another thought for content would be the different types of vest and HEEDS device available and their pros and cons for new guys. Again as always good instructional method applied to a sector of the industry there isn’t a lot on how to do it.
The best helicopter RUclips channel! Please post more like this!

I'll give it a shot on the next trip.
Thanks Mille!
I'm always looking to change things up and try new techniques for operating on the boat.

Do you know if anyone in your company flys the oh-6 cayuse?

Hi Roger! How you doin'?

@@Franjaver you are able to work at home, that is always a big relief and good for the family. 412 that’s a good machine
I wish there was a better chat function on here

@@AerialAttraction Good to know, thanks for the response!
How many hours do you normally fly? per month or season or whatever measurement of time you use on the boat.
I average 75 hours per month. Sometimes its more, sometimes its less

I would like to see some safety equipment like divers shoes instead of just bare feet or flip-flops protective equipment guys
