    Btw for those who didnt know, there was a misstake and the knife with wich he stabs the russian was actually a real one. Kevin Nash is such a unit that he was stabbed for real, and still continued acting. This isnt fake blood, that take was so perfect that they ended up keeping it, the face he makes is the face that chad of an actor actually makes when getting stabbed

      It wasn’t a real knife it was one of those knives were if you stab something the metal or plastic blade goes into the handle they’re usually never sharp but this one got jammed so he ended up straight up stabbing him

You can see what a fake one looks like right after, because a fake one is what they used on Thomas Jane to "stab" him back. Don't know how I didn't notice it when I was younger. One of the best fight scenes I ever saw, it's hilarious & terrifying at the same time. The hero fighting for his life, but with all his skill & creativity, doesn't stand a chance against this "monster". Only because he's so tough, and with sheer luck, he barely manages to beat him. And the music fits perfectly, whenever it slows down a bit & starts again with the main theme, it's like: Round 1 knife, Round 2 grenade, Round 3 gun. It structures their entire fight, so damn hilarious. Who ever came up with this awesome scene, and made it so memorable - the writers, director, camera, stunt coordinator, music coordinator, and of course the actors - they worked so well together, they all deserve an award.

    Fun fact, when the punisher stabbed the Russian, that actually happened. And the guy stayed in character. What happened was the prop guy forgot to switch the fake knife and the real knife and to really show you how dedicated the Russian was to staying in character is that it wasn't a sharp knife... it was blunt and it still went in him 😂 the dudes a legend

    • @mjpraetorian4386
      @mjpraetorian4386 3 года назад +699

      Yeah, it was a blunt knife as well. But what I find SO fucking badass... is that Nash (The Russian) didn't even realise he'd been stabbed. AND upon finding out he had, he'd just asked for super glue, glued the wound shut, and carried on as well. But there's another thing. The producers were shocked at how strong AND FAST nash was. They were considering using a harness for Thomas Jane when nash picks him up.
      What happens? Nash ACTUALLY PICKED THOMAS JANE UP EASILY...

      @@mjpraetorian4386 To be fair, and I'm not saying this to discredit Nash's toughness I'm sure he's extremely tough, but being stabbed can sometimes go totally unnoticed. It just seems to kill the nerves in a way that you don't always notice especially if you AREN'T expecting to be stabbed. I dropped a knife into my foot a few months ago and didn't even think it hit my foot until the pain got worse and worse and only then did I realize the knife fell and stabbed me. Then my uncle knew a guy who got stabbed in the arm while horsing around with a friend and genuinely didn't realize it until his friend told him he thought he'd stabbed him by accident. The juxtaposition of Castle fighting for his life with the neighbors dancing to opera across the way made me laugh to begin with, and the small comedic moments like the Russian batting the grenade back into the bathroom and crushing the barrel of the revolver with a weight was funny as well.
