Love your reactions. I am older than a lot of Babymetal fans . I grew up listening to punk, and alternative but the stuff from Babymetal just hits you inside. Some metal fans will say its not metal. It doesn't matter what genre it is , can't deny the talent of the Kami Band , Su, Moa, Yui or the Avengers.
I saw Sabbath and Sex Pistols in 1976 and have to agree with what you say about Babymetal getting into your soul. I saw them in Feb in Cardiff, UK and it was as good as any of the hundreds of bands and genres I've enjoyed.
@@tonygriffin_ thats amazing man. I got to see Black Sabbath when I was 16. It was truly amazing. So far my favorite show in person was Red Hot Chili Peppers when I was 16 and Iron Maiden when I was 20 . But I hope after covid I can see BabyMetal
@@tonygriffin_ ok you are older lol. Sounds like you been to some great shows. I guess Babymetal is doing exactly what the Fox god wanted, bring the world together thru this music.
Yes, a BABYMETAL show is the best live show you can go to, even in the smaller venues without the huge productions they still put on the best live shows. You mentioned the guitarists. Leda Cygnus (the one next to BOH the bass player in this video) wrote the guitar arrangements for this song. Also that lyric "an endless rain fills my heart" ... this song also pays homage to the X Japan classic 'Endless Rain'. This was filmed at the Budokan in March 2014 and Su had performed the song before, so it could have been included on the first album which came out a bit later that year, but Su wasn't satisfied she was giving the emotion the song deserved and that she was concentrating most on singing the right lyrics and hitting the right notes. It was only when she saw people in the audience crying that she realised her voice could touch people that way - and 'No Rain, No Rainbow' was included on the second album. Now do yourself a huge favour and go and watch the Legend S version from December 2017 celebrating Su-metal's 20th birthday in her home town Hiroshima and see how she sings this now she is putting all her emotions into it. ruclips.net/video/pDgqo6fcliY/видео.html
LEGEND S is one of the best concerts they had... Only one problem... Yui 😢😢😢 that aside the show is amazing!!!! You should really watch the NRNR song from there...
this song was on metal resistance. that album wasn't released until 2016. it might have been released in some form but it was either a completely unreleased track or a rare one at the time of this show.
⚡ / ☂️ 🌈 Every performance of this song is worth seeing. IMO, they just keep getting better and better. You can how their producer Koba could hear Su when she was only ten years old and decide to build a metal group around her "no limit-ness" singing. She was sixteen here at Budokan. IMO, she surpassed this beautiful rendition with her performance at Tokyo Dome, and the version of this song at 'Legend S', her 20th birthday concert at her home prefecture of Hiroshima is even better. Leda Cygnus, the guitarist on the left, did the arrangement for the studio track.
I have seen that beautiful song hundreds and hundreds of times and like the first time a tear in my eyes lamp in my throat and ache in my heart I love that song , Su Metal Goddess nails it , great reaction
now that you already watch this version and now go watch The Legendary version of No Rain No Rainbow at Legend S , it will hit you even deeper into your soul .... it's truly a Masterpiece.
This is the "mother of ballads" to me. Every time i hear Su singin this I get goosebumps when I'm LUCKY. But the good thing about being musical and emotional, even as a grown up man, is though sometimes even shedding tears, I can enjoy that fully with all my senses (may sound a bit poetic, but as you, I just love a good ballad...) This performance is from Budokan black night 2014 btw, so she was only 16 there.
I've always said that in one BABYMETAL concert you will hear more varieties of metal and better musicianship in each of those varieties than if you went to a full month of metal festivals.
This is a beautiful song, sung beautifully by Su. There is a better version from when she was older, where she was able to convey so much more emotion, but I'm not complaining. If you get a chance down the road though, look up the performance of this song from Legend S - Baptism XX, her 20th birthday concert. I'm an old metal dude, and I can't get through that song without getting a bit misty.
It's probably for the best. i think that one has been getting blocked a lot. But i agree 100 percent with everything you said. that one is much better and much sadder.
@@GorillaGorilla - that's the one with 'in the name of' where it looks like something from lord of the rings? if so then yes that one is awesome. even better than babymetal death at legend of 1997

The legend s baptism xx got more emotion in that show since it was a last show for mikio(rip) with them and the first show without yui but i wont complain, every babymetal show is a good show

@@TheMetalMixtape I recommend also checking out "Endless Rain" by X Japan. NRNR is a reference and homage to that song. X Japan is an influential rock band that was huge in Japan in the 80s and 90s. They were a big influence on Babymetal. Another homage to them you'll remember from Headbanger and Babymetal Death is the neckbrace. X Japan's drummer and pianist, Yoshiki, damaged his neck so badly from headbanging that he had to wear a neckbrace while drumming.

Good reaction! This was at the Budokan Black Night show in March/2014. You can pretty much pick any show you want from Babymetal they won't disappoint. Having said that, they played this song in 2017 at the Legend S show in Su's hometown Hiroshima. It's incredibly emotional, for various different reasons. A lot of people were recommending that version to you in your Akatsuki video. If you do more Babymetal reactions, I would suggest to look for video links in the comments of your previous videos. For your next reaction you could check out their first big performance outside of Japan, which took place at the Sonisphere Festival in the UK, in 2014. Yes as others say in the comments you should see the newer version from Dec 2017. It was Su Metal's birthday in here Hometown of Hiroshima (song was thought to also be to the victims of the atom bomb in 1945). It was the first show without Yui and the last show that Mikio (Guitarist not in this video,Leda was filling in for him at this show.) did with Babymetal before dying from the result of a fall. (They kinda focus on him more in that video.) After knowing all that, the video and song mean so much more. ruclips.net/video/pDgqo6fcliY/видео.html
Legend S Baptism XX version will always be the best version of this song. Su really putting all of her emotion into it, its hard for me not to cry when watching this because there are 2 reasons behind it. - It was the first performance without Yui and after that she never perform on stage again. - It was the last performance with one of guitarist Mikio. He passed away couple days later because of accident. I start crying after read a part of the lyrics. It says "We shall never meet again, but i want not to forget you forever". They have only peformed this song 5 times.
Many people and some fans do not realize that Suzuka Nakamoto is a professional musician with her voice as her instrument. Her preparation for a song is very much the way top flight musicians prepare. At the same time with Moa the basic dance is developed.
@@outwest1014 Many people think Babymetal are automatons, they do what they're told. I don't profess to know much about life, but what I have learnt with Babymetal is that they provide great happiness to people of all ages from teenagers to 70+ which is so important in these difficult times. That's why I'm really excited you're covering them. I understand you can't do requests but if you don't ask, you don't get in my experience! I recommend everything 'live' btw - so much more energy which I know you agree with. I'm almost begging you to cover 'Rondo of Nightmare - with 'Mischief of Gods' intro by the Kami Band - insane musicianship that you'll not want to miss! Also 'Karate' , to use your own terminology, has a brutal riff! Your voice here is very much lower than the music. Also, wish the live version was from Legend S - Baptism XX, but this one's great too. Just wanna say how awesome it is that you're liking Babymetal this much this quickly. It's been only like 15 hours since your last reaction was posted! Megitsune (OFFICIAL VIDEO) would be a great choice for the next one. There are some good live videos, but the music video is best for this one.
The Legend XX is by far the best version for her emotion and passion IMHO. It was an extremely emotional time for Su-Metal. 1) Legend XX is celebrating Su-Metal's twenty birthday in Hiroshima her home town. 2) It is the first concert without Yui. Moametal stated in an interview, Su-Metal was deeply saddened by Yui's departure; more so than Moa. 3) Su-Metal is a direct descendant of the atomic bomb casualties. 4) While singing, you can see her eyes well-up and a tear runs down her cheek. BTW: Your "Subacribe!" covered the English lyrics.
Many people and some fans do not realize that Suzuka Nakamoto is a professional musician with her voice as her instrument. Her preparation for a song is very much the way top flight musicians prepare. At the same time with Moa the basic dance is developed. The Hiroshima
The Legend S version is even more powerful, because her voice continues to grow and mature. Hope you listen to that one as well! That said, you have about 40 BABYMETAL songs to go. Keep doing them- you just got a sub from me because of it. Btw, your reactions are great and genuine, so keep doing what you do.
No Rain No Rainbow was retired for a couple of years after this performance because Su herself said she coudln't put out enough emotion in the performance to do the song justice. It was brought back for the Tokyo Dome Show. And the most emotional performance of Su's career was the Legend S performance in her hometown of Hiroshima, somewhat close to the anniversary date of the Hiroshima bombing. Appreciate the reactions but it probably would've been better to react to one of her best performances instead of one that Su herself didn't really like.
you need watch same song, from Legend S - Baptism XX no subtitles, not really needed as you get feels, that live show really give best feels in my book on this song. great video btw.

The beatings will continue until morale improves...or until you play the 'correct' version of NRNR!! 🤬 KIDDING!!! 😁 I'm guessing the masses have let their feelings be known. No matter, keep up your great work, you are much appreciated! 🙏✌💚🦊🤘
This is one of the most special songs that she does. It was written specially for Su. And when I say that, I don't mean it was written to fit Su-Metal's voice, I mean it was written FOR Suzuka Nakamoto, as a gift, or a tribute. It is something of a dedication and song of hope for the people of Japan, and for all the families and for all of those who died in the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Su is from Hiroshima, so those events mean a great deal to her, and she does some kind of gesture every year to honor those who died, which included some of her family. This song is about rising from despair, never giving up, and finding light even in the deepest darkness. This is HER song! Not Su-Metal's, but Suzuka's, and Hiroshima's! That is why it is so freaking powerful!
Even dispar becomes light... I think the fact that Suzuka was born in Hiroshima, one of the only two citys were dropped nuclear bombs has a lot to the line. I wonder if my english makes sense though I'm a japanese.

Dislike dancing subtitles on the song. Perhaps look them up beforehand, but leave them off the video you watch? Edit: Especially on such an emotional song; subtitles zooming in/out, fade and bounce. Like, no thank you. Edit 2: I meant on the video you watched, not your subtitles (though they could be toned appropriate to the tone of the song you're reacting to also?).

I've got so many more suggestions Omar, but as always, I've written too much! Very passionate about them - keep up the good work!
This is why we watch all these reactions, we love seeing new people discover this band for the first time, in a way it helps us re live when it was us who were discovering them, it is an amazing journey and believe it or not this was the early days their shows just kept getting bigger and more amazing check out this intro to the Legend S show which was done for Su's 20th birthday (you can't do a reaction to it because it will get blocked but just watch it for yourself) streamable.com/5g7xt7
Su kills it again an underestimated talent by none BabyMetal fans . Loving your reactions to BabyMetal.
I would recommend a reaction to Akutsuki Budokan to see the difference. :-)

I love the emotion and power in her voice
No Rain No Rainbow was retired for a couple of years after this performance because Su herself said she coudln't put out enough emotion in the performance to do the song justice.
It was brought back for the Tokyo Dome Show. And the most emotional performance of Su's career was the Legend S performance in her hometown of Hiroshima, somewhat close to the anniversary date of the Hiroshima bombing.
Appreciate the reactions but it probably would've been better to react to one of her best performances instead of one that Su herself didn't really like.
August 6th to December 2nd/3rd sounds like a big gap for an anniversary date :-p
hard rock vibes 🧡🧡🧡🧡
I love it→zetubou saemo hikari ni naru(Even the despair becomes the light)
goodVideo,good reaction.
I love ballad because of Babymetal 💖
Great reaction, keep them coming!
#notacult
Legend S version of this is definitely worth a listen

Feact to Akatsuki again! But live at Budokan
I was just poking around on YT to see who has reacted to NRNR. It's says you did this a year ago! I hope you're doing well. Any plans for more Babymetal anytime soon?
Perfection ! ! !
the solo reminds me guns n roses 😅😅
The beatings will continue until morale improves...or until you play the 'correct' version of NRNR!! 🤬
KIDDING!!!
This isn’t even her final form.
🥰🥰🥰
beautiful voice!!

Even dispar becomes light... I think the fact that Suzuka was born in Hiroshima, one of the only two citys were dropped nuclear bombs has a lot to the line. I wonder if my english makes sense though I'm a japanese.
Watching your reaction again, did you reaction to the unfinished version?
Leave the link! Would love to react to it! Much love
Would love to see it
This may be the worst video of this song available 😔. .
Hiint. .if you read the lyrics before. . . or throw them up on a second monitor.(that's what i always do) .you can use better performances.
most subtitled ones are lesser performances or the translation sucks. . .legend s baptism xx live in Hiroshima (the one a bunch recommended and i sent you the link for (see comment on Akatsuki vid) . . su is 20 and on stage with A FULL STRING ENSEMBLE. . .also there is a story behind that one (real loss. . something happened that night changing the group forever after) *and one of the musicians in the Kamiband died in an accident shortly after making this their last show. . there is a reason people are sending you specific links.
unfortunately you missed out again by searching your own links.😂😞
Members of the one literally sift through dozens of lesser vids and give you specific links to the best ones. . .
Highly recommend you look for consensus in comment's or just flat out ask The One for the best links. . you are One now. . . we will steer you right. ✔😊. . we promise.
When you have time. . . go to the link and watch it off the air and then read the comments the fans left below and you will understand. . . (no 🍅 and Rip MF) . . warning . . if you read the comments b4 and figure out who has died and what the show meant to Su. . you will start crying in the verse after the solos. . .
Kitsune up. CC
I agree friend, i will look them up before hand and then react. Amazing song
