    Looks awesome but you got some heavy ass tires now

    • @RoamWithJon

      Thanks! Also Very very true lol instantly felt the difference on the first drive, but it didn’t eat into my gas mileage as much as I thought, I only lost about a couple mpg’s give or take. My other option was to go up to a 17” wheel and get a lighter load tire but i didn’t really want spend more money, nor do I have time to flip my wheels and tires and buy new ones.

    How was the road characteristics of the dobinsons?? How woukd you describe it? Any comparison to any other brands?

    • @RoamWithJon
      @RoamWithJon  3 года назад

      They’re nice compared to the oem suspension, you can tell they’re more stiff when the cab and bed are empty. I can’t really compare to much in terms of tacomas but my buddies 5100’s feel like they can handle the road a little better.
      They honestly just feel like stiffer oem suspension.

    Have basically same lift from OME 2886 front coils,90000 shocks and EL095R leafs which actually gave me 3" in the front and 2.5" in the back < Just wondering how and do you see a difference with the UCAs, and wondering if im pushing it with the limits up front not changing out the uppers . Truck is looking great man>>>>>

    • @RoamWithJon
      @RoamWithJon  3 года назад

      Thank you thank you 🙏🏽
      Basically when you lift your truck it actually decreases the amount of caster. With the oem UCA’s maxed out I think you can get around1-2 degrees. So when you lift your truck, your wheels actually sit further back and potentially cause rubbing issues with the cab mount when your running a lift and bigger tires.
      I think I have around 4.5 degrees of caster at the moment. So the wheels is pushed forward a little more away from the cab.
      Not sure if this answers your question. Pushing the limits before they rub? Or do you mean pushing them like breaking them? Lol after market UCA’s usually allow for more droop aswell.

      Thanks , I meant stressing things out , running 265/75/16 nitto ridge graps, but when I upgrade tires going with 285s as well , thanks for the help

    • @RoamWithJon
      @RoamWithJon  3 года назад

      Ah if you’re moving up to 33”’s I’d definitely look into uca’s around that size you’re looking at doing everything you can to avoid rub lol, UCA’s and cab mount chop.

    I feels like it not special anymore when you can get pro colors on another trim model

    • @RoamWithJon

      Toyota does this every year. The pro model color becomes available to other trims the following year.
