    Just a tip.. I’d suggest placing the masking on the part that you want to retain (I.e. the truck) rather than the bit you’re chopping off. Sure it’s useful to place your marks on, but it’s there to protect the truck during the cutting..

    • @KnightWheelsMedia
      @KnightWheelsMedia  4 года назад +2

      Just did a quick highway drive (75mph or so) and didn't notice any extra noise. The roof rack with traction boards & plano case make for quite a bit of wind noise so that likely drowned out any noise from the fender liner flapping, if it did.

    First off, you are crazy for cutting up your nice bumper. for the frontier, that would be an ideal solution for adding 33's or 35's. could the liner melt enough to pop in then measure it to fit the edges then cut? it does look aggressive from the front.

    You can also use a heat gun to reshape the fender well and fold it back the other way. Then you don’t end up with that huge uncovered exposed area.

    • @KnightWheelsMedia
      @KnightWheelsMedia  3 года назад

      haha well cutting your bumper would technically void your bumper warranty I'd suppose...
      meaning that once you cut the bumper, you can't go to Toyota asking for a new bumper unless something else was wrong with it. However if there is something else wrong with the bumper that can't be linked to the cut, then you'd probably be okay.
      Maybe worth calling your dealer to ask any specific questions as these are just my guesses/opinion.

      Yeah some people take a heat gun to the inner fender to fold it. I figured it'd be easier to just cut. I can always go back and add a cheap, custom inner fender if I feel the need.
      I'll likely replace the whole bumper, or part of it, in the future. In the meantime, this is just a cool mod to do to get a slightly more aggressive look and some extra clearance. I had some rubbing up front on the inner fender that this cut solved.
