I love the knock offs as long as they are not complete garbage. I see it like this. You could easily be into a rig for a grand. One thousand dollars for a toy truck. Some of us have three or four trucks. You could be in a real Jeep for that, pay off a cc, or go on a nice vacation. I love the sport of RC crawling in the yard with my son. I would rather buy knock offs and use the saved money for bills. That's just me. I know some one will say I'm completely wrong because of........ That's cool. You do you and I'm going to be me.
I recently joined a Facebook club for the SCX103 and I'm very new to brushless motors as I wanted to replace the brush one with. I got cramped on so bad when I asked was there a cheaper option then the hobby wing 2 in 1 fusion motor. Later. The guy told me to go to Walmart and buy a New Bright with my cheap self this is not the hobby for me!
Been running real and knockoff Hyrax in two Trx4's for over a year and there is very little difference in performance across all terrain and weather conditions. Certainly not enough of a difference to justify paying more for the real Hyrax. Slap those knockoffs on some metal beadlocks and you've got a solid setup.
I don’t know if the rubber compound has changed recently, but in 2022, the Injora Hyrax knock offs are great on rock here in Virginia. We have a lot of limestone, so I don’t know how they perform on other rock. They’re great in mud also. I have them on some stamped steel bead locks.
Pay $86 for the proline plus the steel wheels will cost you $140 at the LHS. Id rather take the less quality foam and pay only $39 for all 4 with the steel wheels.
@@johnbasterson7938 thats true, but they also wear a bit quicker, so there is the quality difference. But the Hyrax aren't three times better, so the price difference isn't justified.
Got these clone hyraxes with alloy rims. Bought them for the curiosity. Utter garbage and useless tires. Have a big crawler track in my garden. Used proline tsl sx superswamper xl before. Super grippy and has no problems. Dirt. Rocks. Planks. Wet dirt etcetc. The clones really struggled on simple things. The crawler become allmost useless. Mounted the tsx again. World difference. Dont buy it. Rims are ok quality. Screws are allso lo quality. So dont overtight. Dont use locktite. I did not. And stripped several screws. Changed for higher quality steel screws. I think this is the last time ill buy clonestuff.
These are a compromise. I've used them for a good while, and I consider them about equal to a modded canyon tire. Also, remember, if Proline comes with good foams for your crawler, you have another expense on top of the generics. You are correct also concerning the screw quality with the wheels. Almost every set of Chinese wheels has broken screws. Sometimes the heads just randomly pop off.
Maybe, but not likely. They are also not the same compound. That being said these tires are better than predator proline hyrax. They have more grip for some reason they are almost half the price though. If you abuse the heck out of them they will wear out faster.
Injora is a known source of counterfeit parts from China. I prefer to pay a little more and support the original designer not the counterfeit supplier. Don't buy Injora product!

I agree with you 1000%

The tires are probably made in the same factory, I dare say the only difference would be the higher quality foam in the proline
That's something I can work with! Thanks for This comnent!!
@@89da121 Proline tires are made in usa not in a chinese factory controlled by CCP
Is having good foam in the tire a big deal?
On just the view alone, the pro lines look the fakes due to how shiny they are 😂
Nice comparison! I just got the knock offs and so far really like them

Nice!
Nice 👍 comparison on the wheels I hope you do a running video soon with the knock off hyrax tires. Great video by the way
I'll try and get a running video of the knock offs this weekend. Thank you
I was wondering between these and the TRX-4 Canyon Trail tires also from Injora, I just made my choice!
Got a set of them on the way for my everest 10 bouncer build
In the cold the cheap foam is better as it doesn't get as hard
Really? Thanks, I'll make sure to give it a try this winter.

Nice review I have a set as well there not bad for what they are. U cant go wrong with the price tho
How many packs have you gone through on a set?
@@AdamLeeRC maybe 4 The rocks we have here are like sandpaper the only thing that I was noticing is a little wear on the outer lugs.
Tried them a few months ago. Great on dirt ,suck on the rocks.
thats true. Hyrax is king of rock! Traxxas Stock Tyres are also good allround tyres.
@@runnerbaba Pro-Line TSL super swampers predator best tire I've ever used
cool comparison,thanks for sharing
What’s the hight on those wheels if I may ask
I believe those are 120mm tall.
very nice comparison
i have these on my temper gen 2. Better than the stock tires.
also worth noting, mine came mounted but with only two screws
Cool cool!!! NC MOUNTAINS Backyard RC 🏞🖒💯
Yea they don't stick...
No link?
got a link to them? thanks
Stop thinking china’s product is bad I know some might be a copy but some are actually good and some are not copyrighted.
I agree
What power drill do U use for your drivers and what size drivers can your drill use ?
The driver is a cheap brand "Skill" you can get most hardware stores. The drivers I use are "MIP" brand
They are either a decent hyrax clone or a TERRIBLE super swamper clone. Either way 40 bucks with wheels, fuq it I'm in.
same here, hell yeah
Do you have a link to buy them

Search: Austar AX-5020 on ebay, Amazon, banggood, Aliexpress, tomtop or what else you know to get stuff
The price is cool to bash around with but they are nowhere near the same quality as proline
I agree
In several tests I've seen these grip better than hyrax.

Camera quality’s fucked😂
I understand knockoffs when something is really expensive, but those proline tires arent that expensive really.
Hilarious
Nock offs are shite mone ripped the tire wall first outing
Wow. Is your rig super heavy? I still haven't ripped mine. My rig has some brass...

If proline priced them reasonably than people wouldn't resort to counterfeit.
