@@kaykutcher2103 But I always feel like new people are always appearing, too. They're always introducing townspeople we've never seen before (and telling us they've been haunted by something for 20 years.)
I recognized Jerry Orbach in some other shows, but I had forgotten / didn't know that he was one of the "objects" (the candelabra - I'm not even going to try to spell the French name) in Beauty and the Beast. He sounds very different (far more so than Angela does from Jessica's voice. Mrs. Potts' voice seems like Jessica's at times.)
Had a little trouble keeping track of who was who in that one. It doesn't even have as many characters as some, but there are two or three pairs of characters who look like each other.
Believe it or not, you've brought me BACK to watching MSW. Yay! I just watched S03E21 "The Days Dwindle Down" which was fabulous! I don't know how they did the flashback to '40's or '50's b/w storyline... I can only imagine they brought rights to a failed Harry Morgan film from that era? Wow. Thanks, PushingUpRoses. I remember this episode. It was one I didn't want to watch again because I was so confused. Plus, I hated seeing Seth in trouble. I was actually looking back through your videos the other day to make sure I hadn't missed a new Murder She Wrote vid.
My great grandma was always watching Murder, She Wrote and it makes me so happy to see that other people my age and younger love these old shows too :)
I like that you write our your subtitles for hearing impaired viewers of your channel. I noticed when it said in the captions: "Me as Jess: True" @4:50. I wasn't even going to comment at the caption at 2:52: "Maggie: Robert, please." when she clearly says "Gary, please".
Please can you cover “trial by error” season 2 episode 13 . It’s my all time favourite episode of Murder She Wrote and is love to hear your opinion of it . :)
@@rmhartman I think that line comes from a different episode - where Jessica is a trial witness and the other lawyer is trying to discredit her. But it's also kind of a nod to the running joke about how often Jessica (and her relatives) encounter murder.
5:20 It's quite appropriate that you used this scene of "Golden Girls", since the actor with Blanche was in quite a few episodes of "Murder She Wrote" 👏
So what I've learned is that if you're writing a murder, it's best to make sure you don't have a ton of unnecessary characters, because they're hard to care about or keep track of
ahhhhhhhhhhhh Miss. BLISS! I love Haley Mills and didn't remember she was on this. btw for people who don't know (and a good Ep for you ;) ) Before Saved by the Bell was Saved by the Bell, it was Good morning Miss Bliss.
I gotta tell ya, I don't always watch these videos because MSW wasn't as big a part of my childhood as it was for you, but I still love how you do all these deep dives into specific episodes. This is genuinely quality content.
I just want to say I absolutely love your channel, and when i saw this newest video i chanted "Yesyesyesyes" in my head because it really is such a pleasure watching you!
Have you ever noticed how, in a murder mystery, especially a serialized one, if there's a major asshole in the first few minutes, they're usually the first one to get murdered?
That Scott Baio dig though. I do love this episode, partly because of the slate of stars that feature. Erin Moran and Haley Mills are both just phenomenal!
Wait... the building @ 0:22 in the video. Is that a known location or set or something? Because it looks suspiciously a lot like the hotel/condo from Ace Ventura when Roger Bedackter (spelling) was thrown from his room and down to the ground below.
I've probably said this before but I'm inspired to say it again. Thank You for these videos. I used to watch Murder, She Wrote with my mom before she passed. These videos make me very happy and your take on them is spectacular. Thank you again.
That's the one that use footage from and old B&W film as flashbacks yeah? Wasn't it a kind of sequel to the film, with most of the film cast reprising their roles from the movie?
With the cold cases, I always kind of feel like "where was Jessica when they were actually happening" - if they took place in Cabot Cove. There's an implication here that Jessica and Seth didn't know each other when he made this investment, even though it always seems elsewhere like they've both lived in Cabot Cove forever.
I wanted to say thank you for this series on Murder, She Wrote. I’m currently working my way through season 2 and am about to start season 3 and your videos are what convinced me to give the show a try. So far my favorite episode has been when Jess gets locked in the women’s prison, would love to see your analysis on that one (Jessica Behind Bars, Season 2 Ep 9). It’s been a delight to watch and I’m kind of obsessed with Jess and her adventures now. Your videos and analysis are funny and engaging and I’m looking forward to more from you!
Another good MSW video! And Joanie got to work with her "Happy Days" dad Tom Bosley again! While the "I'm a dirty cop being blackmailed so I'm going to draw attention to the case where I killed someone, lure my blackmailer and the original suspects to the scene of the original crime, kill the blackmailer and make it look like someone else did it" plot should get some points for imagination it was pretty ridiculous. Really he should have just shot the guy the guy in an alley somewhere. That would have given Jess a real challenge! I'd love to see you do "Who Threw the Barbitals in Mrs.Fletcher's Chowder". It has Yvette from "Clue" in it, and we know you like "Clue"!
Yes! Angela is back! You gotten me sucked into your Murder She Wrote episodes, that I've probably seen each one six or seven times. Please feed my addiction with more! :D
I really like the episode “off to kill the wizard.” Season one episode seven. Lock the door mystery, and while I love the solution it’s still leaves a lot to be desired. If you have done this one, I’ll have to dig through and find it. I tried to see if you had but I wasn’t sure.
That's actually one example where the weirdness is kind of explained - the murdered person is a theme park tycoon, so we know from the get-go he has all these devices to create illusions. That's not something Jessica just discovers at the last minute.
I really like how you pointed out the lamps, I am constantly driving my daughter nuts whenever and episode is on because they have cool vintage lamps....needless to say I have watched Murder She Wrote when it originally was on tv and I too have the DVD collection plus movie collection. Practically know the shows by heart but continue to watch - it's my comfort show.
what i never got on this episode was why retired cop made such a big thing aboit going off to solve this cold case ... when it was him whut dunnit all along! what did he get out of the big show?
I love that episode. Apparently he didn't like his own performance, considering it too hammy. But it's not like you can play it subtle in original Trek.

As a kid, I used to watch the episodes with a notepad and try to write down the suspects in clues so that I could solve. Episodes like this always frustrated me Because they were impossible to solve! By the way, I love your channel. I love murder she wrote and classic Sierra, wonderful! Keep doing what you do ❤
"Id comfort her myself, but.."
Dude, that's your daughter. Man up and give her a hug
"...less like a resort and more like a log cabin that you would see in a retro videogame"... That was painfully accurate.
"Forget it, J.B., it's Cabot Cove."
the murder capitol of new england!
Just imagine being the poor schmuck having to constanly change the population numbers at the welcome sign to Cabot Cove.
Not sure what this refers to?
@@kaykutcher2103 But I always feel like new people are always appearing, too. They're always introducing townspeople we've never seen before (and telling us they've been haunted by something for 20 years.)
Please do the episode 'From the Horse's Mouth', it involves thoroughbreds, the south and Jerry Orbach!
I look forward to these videos! They make me feel all cozy and my spirits lifted! Xo thank you!!
You're great!
I hope Roses will do a Columbo episode at some point, so many amazing guest stars and nice plots...
Please oh please!!!
I remember this episode. It was one I didn't want to watch again because I was so confused. Plus, I hated seeing Seth in trouble. I was actually looking back through your videos the other day to make sure I hadn't missed a new Murder She Wrote vid.
I think Seth had to be in some kind of trouble - either his whereabouts unclear or being a suspect - to pull Jessica into this one.
My great grandma was always watching Murder, She Wrote and it makes me so happy to see that other people my age and younger love these old shows too :)
I loved when John Astin was a recurring character for a spell. The episode (s2 or 3) where he is made sheriff is definitely gold
He did great as Riddler, too, in Batman '66.
@@calanon534 won't say a bad word about Gorshin but Astin has amazing manic energy
@@calanon534Gorshin was a much better Riddler. Astin was better as Gomez Addams
Have you ever looked into Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction?
I love the video of Jonathan Frakes asking you questions.
That cheesy low budget show that to this day gives me the creeps. That show hits me on a level beyond belief
Such a classic
That was a great show
The episode with the red-eyed nanny made me afraid to walk around at night for months and it wasn't even that scary looking back.
"It's Hayley Mills and Hayley Mills in the Hazlitt Trap!"
Woohoo! I really look forward to these. Thanks for another fabulous episode!
I like that you write our your subtitles for hearing impaired viewers of your channel. I noticed when it said in the captions: "Me as Jess: True" @4:50. I wasn't even going to comment at the caption at 2:52: "Maggie: Robert, please." when she clearly says "Gary, please".
2:53 "Gary, please... my hair." Your delivery is the best!
Have spent the day laughing out loud at your episode reviews! Thanks!
Please can you cover “trial by error” season 2 episode 13 . It’s my all time favourite episode of Murder She Wrote and is love to hear your opinion of it . :)
one of new englands most prominent families is a breeding ground for homicidal maniacs!
Mine too. I've mentioned in previous comments that "Trial By Error" is revived, it definitely needs to be! 😃
ooh thats a good one
@@rmhartman I think that line comes from a different episode - where Jessica is a trial witness and the other lawyer is trying to discredit her. But it's also kind of a nod to the running joke about how often Jessica (and her relatives) encounter murder.
5:20 It's quite appropriate that you used this scene of "Golden Girls", since the actor with Blanche was in quite a few episodes of "Murder She Wrote" 👏
So what I've learned is that if you're writing a murder, it's best to make sure you don't have a ton of unnecessary characters, because they're hard to care about or keep track of
But, of course, you must have some red herrings. Agatha Christie is obviously a very good model to learn from.
Thank you so much for doing this episode. I have watched this episode more than once and do not understand the point.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh Miss. BLISS! I love Haley Mills and didn't remember she was on this.
btw for people who don't know (and a good Ep for you ;) ) Before Saved by the Bell was Saved by the Bell, it was Good morning Miss Bliss.
Which they repurposed into an unofficial Season One in syndication....for some reason.
The fastest I've ever clicked on a new video notification. Love these videos! Great work!
I love your videos on MSW - I feel like you have the same attitude to the show as me, in that you love it in a kind of irreverent way
That cabin reads “Friday the 13th”
Thanks to you I found a new show to watch, I’ve been watching all of your MSW videos all day lol.
This has made my day, love this series! Thanks for a great vid as always
That Scott Baio dig though. I do love this episode, partly because of the slate of stars that feature. Erin Moran and Haley Mills are both just phenomenal!
“I’d question her myself, but she might demand to know what happened to Chuck.”
It just made so much more sense for the hotel owner to be the killer. The ending they went with Suuuuuucked!!!
"Do-dah" is such a great old New Englander thing to say.
Your commentary and reviews allow a MUCH greater depth of appreciation for this pearl of a series!
Thank you so much 😊
check out "The Corpse Flew First Class" it's a season 3 episode and it has so many plot twists!
And Kate Mulgrew ❤️
On Imd its rated as the best episode of Season 3, and I watched it to see why, honestly, its pretty amazing.
Wait... the building @ 0:22 in the video. Is that a known location or set or something? Because it looks suspiciously a lot like the hotel/condo from Ace Ventura when Roger Bedackter (spelling) was thrown from his room and down to the ground below.
Great review. Ever thought about doing a review for the Father Dowling Mysteries series?
I adore Father Dowling. I wish it would have run a few seasons longer.
Thank you for all the MSW videos. It's been very comforting to watch this show during the pandemic for the first time.
I love your line “Jessica is suspicious of kale. “ That’s my name and I hate the veggie kale
"Dive sexily into the face of danger!"
Epic life goals right there. Live your dreams!
New episode, yay, I'm so excited!! ♥ Maybe someday you can look at "Murder at the Oasis" (s01e21)? It's one of my favourites C:
Thank you for making this type of content! I love murder she wrote! Such a unique show!
I totally love a review of Twin Peaks from you, OMG yes.
I've probably said this before but I'm inspired to say it again. Thank You for these videos. I used to watch Murder, She Wrote with my mom before she passed. These videos make me very happy and your take on them is spectacular. Thank you again.
oohh the notification for this made my night
I get so excited when I get a notification that you've covered another MSW episode!
If you want a Murder, She Wrote episode with a cold case I prefer “The Days Dwindle Down” it’s so good
Stephen Broady, such a great episode.
That's the one that use footage from and old B&W film as flashbacks yeah? Wasn't it a kind of sequel to the film, with most of the film cast reprising their roles from the movie?
Angela .Rajic what the movie, I had no idea it was based on anything.
Angela .Rajic yes! Though they sort of make changes in ways that’s different from the original movie
“Scott Baio is a piece of ...” Amen. Great critique of a long forgotten episode. Thanks!
Perfect timing. ❤️
I really like the episode “off to kill the wizard.”
Season one episode seven.
This is one of my favorite series on RUclips!!
"Jessica is suspicious of Kale." I'm gonna use that.
Pleeeeease do more of these! I’ve binge watched them all and I’m so sad there aren’t more! 😊
That Time on Murder She Wrote is my favorite anime
I really like how you pointed out the lamps, I am constantly driving my daughter nuts whenever and episode is on because they have cool vintage lamps....needless to say I have watched Murder She Wrote when it originally was on tv and I too have the DVD collection plus movie collection. Practically know the shows by heart but continue to watch - it's my comfort show.
Wait--this episode actually exists? It wasn't a Murder, She Wrote fever dream I had??
Haha, your commentary is genius. Love it ^^
what i never got on this episode was why retired cop made such a big thing aboit going off to solve this cold case ... when it was him whut dunnit all along! what did he get out of the big show?
6:41: When I see William Windom with stubble, I automatically think of him trying to crash the Starship Enterprise into the Doomsday Machine.
I love that episode. Apparently he didn't like his own performance, considering it too hammy. But it's not like you can play it subtle in original Trek.
7:22 hey! Kale can be delicious, if prepared properly.
You make me want to go back and rewatch these episodes. Thanks. Don't stop.
The quickest I've ever thumbed up one of your videos and the only time I've ever responded to a video because of a Scott Baio mentioned. #pieceofshhh
I was just wishing for a new PUR video yesterday, and right after I thought of this, lo and behold a new PUR video! Perfect timing that really improved my day.
