    Still not understanding the amount of people who are predicting an Alabama fall off. Have y’all looked at Alabama’s roster talent? They have 23 five stars which is by far the most in the country still.

      Alabama has the talent but talent can only go so far. If they can hit the ground running with new staff would be massive to keep the momentum going.

      Personally always a fan of A&M and Texas game returning. Clemson v. Georgia week one will be insane. Alabama and Tennessee this year specifically is so so different compared to the decades past with no Saban and what feels to be more of an even playing field.

    I think this is pretty good. As a UGA fan, I would love to see a rematch of UGA-Texas in the SEC Championship just because the actual game in Austin as at the same time as an F1 race. Not sure I agree with Beck being a game manager, but overall these rankings make sense.

    I agree with every one of these except Oklahoma. Definitely feel like they should be in the average tier. I feel like they have zero shot to make any real noise in the SEC, especially not in the playoffs
    Just found the channel though. This will grow.
    Idk yet if youre a gamer but getting some people together for an SEC only dynasty on the new CFB25 game coming out would make for some fun content to add as well

    Man, I have to agree with your generalist so you open the conversation and you broke out kind of an outline. I think that you’ve given too many teams and opportunity that you should talk about going forward. I think that Texas A&M is not gonna be that good I don’t think that Missouri can really pull off a second year and be that strong so I would downcast them.
    The question to ask is of the teams of Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, and Tennessee who is a pretender because these teams are going to get head. The head play and the pretenders are going to drop more than they win.
    I would also have to say about Oklahoma that I’m not looking for nanny. I’m not looking for a conference champion, however, five and 3 or a six and 2 SEC conference place win loss record would be considered stellar for Brett Venables and his Oklahoma sooners.

    Secondary and WR room are literally two of our best rooms dawg. We’re returning almost everyone from last year on defense the most experience we’ve had in years and the coaching staff is figuring out who to put on the field as far as wide receivers are concerned because they have so much talent.

    • @RushTheFieldShow
      @RushTheFieldShow  2 месяца назад +2

      let me clarify; I meant when evaluating a team those are the position groups of like most concern in general. For Oklahoma specifically it’s the OL and that’s the position group that I value as the most concerning.

Also that same defense lost to the state of Kansas... so again your statement makes you look respectfully like a fool. Don't give the defense a pat on the back bc the offense carried them. Be honest about your team! lol.

    Where I think y’all messing up is (as with every other bad prediction in the history of college football) you’re dedicated to only QB, nothing else. Dishonest because the skill position talent at Auburn now is ridiculous so if they can get decent OL play, Thorne just has to be a game manager. Even tho Battie got shot, their RB room is still loaded, they got Fairweather back at TE and he’s a problem then they cherry picked every good receiver they wanted for the most part. Do you load up against Hunter and the run game with Valdo and Mini Megatron available in the passing game?
    Defense will be fine. Real strong right in the middle with Asante out there.
    Then there’s the schedule which is one of the easiest they’ve had in over a decade.
    I think Auburn gonna go like 9-3 but might get 10 wins and make the playoffs.

    • @RushTheFieldShow
      @RushTheFieldShow  4 дня назад

      Ok. First, the QB matters a ton when it comes to college but even taking the fact that Thorne is in the basement of the SEC when it comes to QB play. The talent in the skill positions is unquestioned but the baseline is also that they are YOUNG, it has been well documented that Hugh Freeze will have to start way more true freshman than expected as he turns this program around. If you think they are going 9-3 maybe 10-2 that is expecting a combination of wins against Bama, Texas A&M, @Kentucky, @Missouri, @Georgia, Oklahoma.
      No chance.

    • @deaconj3406
      @deaconj3406 4 дня назад

      @@RushTheFieldShow there’s so much nonsense in this that it’s not worth correcting but Auburn won’t be young anywhere on offense except the WR room (kinda) and you stressing the “YOUNG” like that is just bad.
      Hunter, Cobb and Fairweather alone at any other school with a Senior QB would have you talking about how that experience allows the young receivers some time to grow up before Oklahoma comes to town and the schedule gets real.

    Your assessment of Arkansas is completely off. Arkansas is a basket case not a cheesecake. Arkansas is almost never an easy game unless you're Georgia or unless the hogs have given up on a coach. And Petrino is not going to let that happen

      @@RushTheFieldShow He's always good for the first three or four years. Plus, Pittman has clearly turned over the entire offense to him. If you watch the spring practices, Pittman is exclusively working with the O line. He's going to live or die by his strength, and Petrino has even more to prove. The redemption act happening in Fayetteville is one of the most underrated stories of 2024.

    Boomer!
    Agreed on the O line for Oklahoma. That said, if anyone can get them ready, it is Bedenbaugh. He puts so much O line talent into the NFL.
    The receiver and tight end room are better than you think.
    Defensivly, Oklahoma has the most returning production out of any SEC team. That defense needs to produce early to give the O line and Jackson Arnold some time to figure it out.
    The only other issue I see is that in general, Oklahoma is a talented team but still young.
