    Trying something new, Cody Meyer and Jared Lintner head out to Lake Cayuga and experiment with a new finesse technique called the Free-Rig. Originating in Japan, Cody and Jared have both heard about the free-rig but neither of them has had a chance to try it. Geared up with their Daiwa Rods and Reels, along with an arsenal of soft plastics, they give it a try and are almost immediately successful. Make sure to keep it locked in to the Tackle Warehouse RUclips channel to get more exclusive content, firsthand angler insight, and the best products at the best prices.

    The free-rig originated in Korea not Japan.

    Well seeing as how you guys are going to tell everyone of my secrets here’s a rigging tip use a bobber stop in between Your weight and hook it helps keep your knot protected so when you hook a big fish I don’t snap you’re knot

    You need to add a bobber stop so the weight doesn't hit your knot. You can also adjust the lead like a carolina rig.

    So other than the skinny drop shot weight, what's the difference between the "Free Rig" and an unpegged Texas Rig?

    • @TackleWarehouse
      @TackleWarehouse  Год назад

      Typically you are using lighter line and a small hook with the Free rig. The presentation has more of a vertical, free-falling orientation when compared to the action of an un-pegged Texas rig.

      Yeah. I guess that is why Tim over at Tactical Bassin uses it. You better check your knot tying skills. Reads like something is going on with line or knots.😅
