I can’t believe that LG still haven’t figured out a way to reset this back to the fireworks without resetting the tv. I remember when I emailed you about this a while ago Paul. Please do a future video on this if LG ever release an update to reverse this. Many thanks 👍🏻
Yeah it is odd that there doesn't seem to be any obvious way to revert it back. A separate sceen saver category with a few different options would be the ideal solution.
Wow I was jealous my friend had a clock and I had the fireworks 😂. This feature is so hidden! For a 1K TV they could have atleast let you choose a few screensavers
I have an LG c2 and the operating system is very poorly designed. The screen saver unnecessarily shows the "press any button to turn off..." Msg, over and over. Like anyone wants to see that in the background while listening to Spotify or whatever else they're doing. No option to change it - your stuck with this stupid screensaver. Just the tip of the iceberg - poor uxd all over the place. Feels like it was designed piecemeal by separate groups with no consideration for a cohesive and intuitive experience.
I am not positive, but I think there is a way to take care of that. I believe it’s when you push the mute button several times, at least 3. When the menu pops up, try to toggle off the No Signal Image. I hope that works and helps. Good luck!

Just an update that you can go back to the fireworks screen saver if you desire, without doing a full reset of tv settings. As someone mentioned in another post, just turn off the clock automatic time update setting and unplug tv for 5 minutes or so. The fireworks ensure your tv is refreshing the pixels properly to prevent burn in.

Is there a way to deactivate screen saver at all? Or at least to change the timing after it appears?
As of now, it appears after ~3 min of inactivity which is quite frustrating to press the button on the controller every time I want to see what is playing on m Spotify.
I couldn't find this option in any of the settings...

Literally this is so frustrating. Im watching a show and it keeps popping up. this is such an expensive hassle. At this point I’m totally fine with sacrificing a small amount of quality to just be able to let my movie play like normal TVs

I was trying to understand HOW I made the fireworks go away and got a clock screenaver - I thought it was the "disable promotion" that did it. Then I bumped into your video. I hated those fireworks - I dont care its irreversible at all, I prefer the clock.
It works on C1 as well. Actually I added my weather location in settings.. since then the new clock screen saver kicked in. But I had no idea at that time that, it's because of the weather location settings. I was curious how did the screen saver changed.. now watched your video. And now everything came back to me 😂😂

perfect ! after motherboard replace ( on LG CS 2022 A MIX OF C1 & C2) fireworks or weatherclock can't run, just the last tv channel run in automatic. After your tips it's ok on all apps but if the tv stay in the homescreen the last tv channel run automatically, an idea? many thanks from france

@@alesjeras6426 learned that on OLED TV's it is impossible to disable the screensaver-- everything I read says it is only disabled when watching the TV in full screen mode, whatever that means. ugh.

Yes, I was going from one LG to another so just like with smartphones once I signed into my LG account it triggered all that, I want the fireworks though! 🤣 🤣

I think the fireworks are better if you’re paranoid about burn-in, which I kinda am. The clock still shows up in the same spot repeatedly, so could be bad over time.

I'm trying to play Xbox game pass through the WebOS and it's not acknowledging that the screen is moving so the fireworks keep interrupting and booting me out of the window I'm streaming the game in-- is there a way to stop the fireworks from occurring altogether?

Can’t believe they didn’t add customization to this. I’ve only owned the tv for 3 days but I’m already surprised that it has less customization than windows 95 on idle screens.

How long do your clock & weather appear from iddle screen? Mine’s took 2 hours when the clock & weather appear.
Need static content on screen, won't go while there is moving content on screen.
Such as a PC connection, or menu from a video game system.

Fireworks screensaver activates if you’re in a hdmi input. Clock and weather if you’re using a native app 👍🏻
No TV screen saver activates on my G1 via HDMI.
And as I've just shown, fireworks kicked in on the TVs Netflix app.

I've had a C2 for over a year and never seen the fireworks. I shows pictures at what could be max brightness. kind of annoying how bright it is.
The clock pops up automatically when I use Amazon Alexa on my C1. It come's up after about 5 minutes or so.
How about completely disabling the screensaver, anyone knows how to achieve that?

Me too, my guess is like a lot of technology, we are stuck with what they give us. They don't want screen burn and make it an automatic feature that cannot be changed.

Hey man I need ur opinion on my LG oled tv C1 every time I play a ps5 game the screen goes black for a second and then it comes back on and on the top right corner it says HDR and only does it on ps5 games. Is that fine or normal, mind it doesn’t do it on a ps4 games thank you
Yes is normal!
When you enabling "Instant game response", "Freesync premium" from the TV and enabling HDR from PS5 settings, the screen of your TV start flickering for a moment because those settings are auto enabling for the best, smooth experience possible.

How change the screen saver time
Nearly all remote controls have batteries you have to change and put in new ones. Why havn't they put in a usb charger to recharge them.
Newer Samsung TVs come with a remote that can be solar charged (has solar panels on the back) or via USB- C

Ah how to revert yes without having to restart the settings, I've done that, I'll look because at the moment I don't remember the step by step, then I'll pass it on to you.
Mine reverted back to the fireworks last night, but today it showing the clock again.
But if you do remember how you did it, it would be great if you could pass it on and i will put out another video showing how it is done.
@@TheTechGiantRUclips Unfortunately I couldn't, but I got an option that you may not know for a few moments, press the key 3x and you will see other options such as removing the LG logo when it turns off for example.
How do you change the fireworks times as to when it starts. I watch tutorials and pause and then the fireworks come on...very annoying.

The fact that Tech Giant still uses it over all the newer models kinda proves it! If you already own a C1/G1 there’s literally no point in upgrading to a C2/G2 imho. I’d either wait for a massive sale or just wait for C3/G3.
Whot a aload or rubbish G2 miles better and you going of a guy that shows you a crap screen saver that you have do a factory reset to get old one that if he had brains he would of told you first he best staying in the gym not got a clue about TV 👹

Doesn't seem to work in Germany. I can only see the Broadcast Country and LG Services Country. I don't have the Postcode or Weather Location Setting options.
Theoretisch müsste es klappen, bei meinem LG OLED B1 klappt das ganze und zeigt auch wie im Video die Uhr mit der Wettervorhersage für Köln.

I wish I never bought this TV, the user interface is so intolerably bad.
The LG OS is so awful ill never buy LG again.....brilliant hardware, amazing screen, best remote control around...... and yet they screw up soooooo badly on the system software, the web browser is rubbish, are there alternatives to download, nope, the apps are total junk and the settings menu has unfathomable nonsense everywhere, whoever designed it was drunk or high.....likely both......what a disappointment, its like putting lead weights on an Olympic swimmer.

The clock is dumb as sheeit, not to mention ugly. I did hear there's a way to revert to the fireworks, by blocking the domain which pings out to your telly from the weather app periodically on your router.
Seems like a bit of a palaver, but if it works I'd definitely do it cos I hate the damn clock (not enough to factory reset the TV though... who in their right mind is gonna do that (!)
Anyway... maybe some friendly tech nerd could check their logs, find out the IP or domain which needs blocking & try it?
Doesn't sound that hard... log traffic for a bit while the clock's running then filter by IP of your telly... can't imagine there'll be much sent to the telly with no other apps running... anyway... that's all I've got. It'd be ace if it works & someone could post the URL or IP to block on here ;o)
