Hi Michael, good tutorial, mine TV OLED have 03.40.87 firmware ,I never had "dejavuln-autoroot Installing..." notification, only "This file cannot be recognized. Playing the next file" notification. Any suggestion or definetly patched ?
Finally I managed to root my TV by following the Readme on the dejavuln-autoroot Github, by putting the files at the root of the USB stick and by creating highotoot.debug and motorot.telnet also at the root of the USB stick. Thanks Michael for your help, best regards.

Rooting worked for 2022 model with the latest WebOS23 firmware v13.30.56. Surprised the mp3 exploit is still functional.

I haven't finished watching your video yet, but you know, it's never dawned on me that I might be able to root my TV. The issue I have with LG - and I love the actual hardware, is the ads. The thing that seriously irritates me is if you enable online services, you get ads. If you don't agree to their online services terms and conditions, you can't use streaming apps. It's total bs. I might look into what else can be done whilst the TV is rooted. Thanks!
Edit: The funniest phrase I've heard today is 'You need to get the IP address of your television'. It just sounds so wrong and weird.

Just get a non SmartTV no policy agreements are requirement and it belongs to you no need to worry about the you don't own it policy either which is communism.

Many people have a Sony Bravia TV which itself can be given developer access, and unsigned APK's can be installed.

Hi i manage to do Jailbreak with tv, i did insert the line under the "fi" and save it , the trick here is that i had to save and upload the startup file after edit it because permisions doesn't let me to do it instantly , But after reboot doesn't do anything

Yup this was a old hack I found on my lg g6 it was a zero day bug that infected any & every electronic, this same zero day bug was also what got us to hack the ps4 ps5 etc.
It’s possible to also jaïlbreak an Xbox one & up , but due to hypervisor locks it wasn’t possible.

Honest question: it's cool to be able to jailbreak both the PS4 and the TV, what's the point of using the LG TV to jailbreak the PS4? Couldn't you just connect a rasperri pi into the PS4 ethernet network and the exploit?

Why is there even a need for the root? The apps are kinda meh.
We got the c1. the TV is 2 grand. only got it because of the extra work of the pidemic thing. after all that. it's hard to do anything dumb. one post said they turned off the smart feature and got a steaming box. like a fire stick or NVIDIA shield.

I have the C3 model, and it is now jailbroken. I have enabled Block System Updates, but the TV is still asking me to update when I turn it on.
Is there a way to disable this?
Edit: It went away after the 2nd reboot. The message was really annoying.

besides free games and unlocked fps is there an actual point to jailbreak a ps4/ps5? since you cant use them online without getting console banned i never understood the point of doing so with last/current gen, it makes sense for 7th gen since they where very easy and sony rarely banned people running cfw's,
the question im trying to ask is this the same reason to jailbreak a ps3 just to make the system be faster and to ftp gamefiles to the system without buying them?

At this point I wish PlasmaTV made a return most content is in 1080p anyway and it's too early to have 8k most content is having trouble keeping up with 4k if I can turn my SmartTV into a PlasmaTV or even CRT TV I would I hate SmartTVs being pushed down people's throat. It's pretty stupid how modern society has no respect for traditional technology and people are acting like SmartTVs were always here now because technology history is being suppressed or it's trying to be I've noticed most movies and TV Shows aren't even optimized for SmartTVs and scales only if you stretch or zoom in which is literally stupid.

Of course! What you gain with jailbreaking is the ability to sideload apps that are not in the lg content store. Otherwise it will be the same tv as before. You do not lose anything when jailbreaking.
Sorry if I don't understand this because I've never owned a TV... I don't see how the PS4 and TV are related? The TV comes bundled with a PS4 inside it?

Gone through but after the PPWN notification on the TV, Goldhen doesn't load..any reason
@@danielowusu2043 it also happens to me, my solution was to use the computer method to jailbreak it once, using the usb with goldhen inside, then the scrip will copy the goldhen bin file inside the ps4 and after that, if you use this lg method, will work just fine.
@@danielowusu2043 try the computer method first, once is jailbroken, you can use the lg tv method, that's how i manage to do it.
